Disasters come in threes. Oh Lord NO! But yea it did. First my grandma passed away. Then my dad came home after two months to a flooded basement and a broken heater in January. And now, our water heater is broken as well. It was full on panic on Thursday and Brian saved the day by Friday. Here is my experience with the Damasco Heating. On February 11th I got on the phone with them and explained what I'd like them to do: natural gas heating system maintenance and gas consumption metering to verify gas meter readings (easy "clocking" test anyone can do). Since person on the phone was driving (I know his name, but don't want to make it personal), he asked me to text all the details and the address. He also said that he wouldn't be able to attend to this task until next week, which was perfectly fine with me, since it was just a maintenance. Sent him all the details and proposed date right away, asking to let me know whether he'll take the job. Two days passed with no response on any kind. Send another "friendly reminder" asking once again, to let me know whether he'll take the job. No response for another three days. Finally, I texted him that I'm calling my request off - naturally, no response to that either. Here what I think is unacceptable for any business: not to respond to repeated customer's requests. Damasco could've said they are too busy or just don't want to take this job - that would've been not good news, but understandable. What they can't do is just to ignore your repeated requests to let them know how to proceed. That's a "big no-no" for any company, who even minimally cares about its reputation and their customers. Imagine this: It the evening before a blizzard and the hot water tank decides to give up the ghost. The day of the blizzard my partner and I texted and called at least four plumbers knowing full-well the likelihood of response was slim; however, Brian not only was the only person to get back to us, but he did so on the day of the blizzard! This is beyond wonderful customer service. We were able to take photos of our water tank, send them his way, and today, as so many of us are plowing out, he came to our home and installed a new water tank in a few hours. Truly amazing. I had a leak in my downstairs bathroom ceiling (I live in a split-level house) and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I called Brian Damaso, and he scheduled me right away for the next morning at 7:30 a.m. He arrived on time, checked multiple possible causes, and quickly found the source of the leak. Brian explained the issue in detail and walked me through what needed to be done next, including helpful information about insurance claims. I have an older home with unusual cast-iron piping configurations. this past summer, I had two serious waste pipe leaks, running from third floor to basement. After initially calling in a plumber, who botched the job, I was referred to Brian Damaso. he and his assistant, Nolan, did more quality work in less time than any plumber I've worked with in the past. He diagnosed the problem. He recommended a cost-effective drain company to clear out clogs from scale. He completely replaced the cast-iron stacks with PVC. He tested all of the work to make sure it was free of leaks. And then cleaned up the worksite and removed all the old materials. We recently moved into a condo in Tewksbury already equipped with a washer and an electric dryer. We brought with us our own high efficiency washer and gas dryer and wanted them installed. After scouring various websites and reading countless reviews and consulting colleagues, we contacted Damaso Plumbing and Heating to come out to view the job and provide a separate quote for each appliance. Brian was very polite from the initial contact through completion and invoicing of the job. He came out to view the job and assess what was required since we had an existing gas line in the house just not one that ran to the room where the dryer would be installed. He actually removed his shoes before entering our home. I appreciated his demonstration of respect for our property. Within a week from viewing the job we received a detailed quote and ultimately decided to have Damaso Plumbing and Heating. We opted to have them come out on two separate occasions to perform the work -install the washing machine and dryer to include a new gas line to the dryer. Brian is very busy and worked with us accommodating our schedules. He made all the necessary arrangements for the permit and town inspection. You may pay a little bit more with Damaso Plumbing and Heating but you get what you pay for with Brian, the consummate professional. It's a great feeling when you realize you've found your plumber. Brian and his crew are extremely professional, including knowledgeable, polite and prompt. We used Brian at our old house for our clanking pipes, which he resolved effortlessly. Had an emergency boiler problem that flooded my basement friday before a holiday. To their credit the only plumber to come out that day after calling 5. Seemed very competant but after charging me $150 "emergency" charge to look at it, promised a quote to fix by monday. 7 days later without heat 7 calls to them and no return call I got someone else to do the job.
