I have gone here twice and will make it a habit to go once a month. I get the Royal Combination for 90 minutes and you leave feeling like a new person. I have to have someone drive me because I am too tired afterwards. I will say you will be sore for a couple days but that is normal! I have been here a few times and for the price, it's the BEST. I have had neck pain for a number of years and I was thrilled when I found this spot. I could pay about $35 for a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage and feel amazing afterwards. I love that you can choose the area you want to spend your money on. And if you are looking for a full body massage, they are more than fair on prices. I love this place! They always manage to squeeze me in when I call for an appointment, even the day or night of. The receptionist is wonderful and very professional. She explains everything very well and they have you sign a form too. They let you choose your fragrance for the scent of the room while you're getting your massage. They also emphasize to request massage pressure at any time! I like not being forced to stick by my original preference of pressure and the masseuse are very attentive and constantly ask if the pressure is okay. If they cannot understand you, they will get the receptionist to translate, which is also nice to have. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and they speak very gently to make it even more relaxing. I've been here twice now for the 60 min reflexology massage, and both times have been amazing. Unlike other massage places around town, you don't feel like the masseuse is rushing to get you in and out. They take their time and really work on the problem areas. The masseuse checks in with you from time to time to make sure the pressure is just right, which it usually is. The ambiance is relaxing; with relaxing music, a trickling waterfall and aromatherapy. I love this place I usually go for a massage about every 2-3 weeks -the only reason for the four stars is last time I went they seemed rushed and not into the massage I think because my massage was scheduled at lunch time. I am new to the Modesto area and I found The Body Spa online and decided to try it. Well I'll tell you, I just finished my 2nd visit and both times Dave was the gentleman who gave me my massage and I loved it! He was very conscientious about my comfort and the amount of pressure (spot on at all times) I walked out both times so relaxed! He waits for you at the desk with a cup of water and is very gracious! On a side note, the young woman at the front desk is very sweet and it's a very quiet environment which makes it so much better (I personally do not like a masseur who talks the entire time). I was still planning to come back because Ive been very happy overall but when the girl at the feont asked how my last massage was, I wasnt going to lie and say it was great when I didnt think it was, but for the 1st time ever, the girl at the front was not all too nice about the situation. She seemed offended/defensive when all i was doing was providing my feedback as she had asked. Its my opinion which Im entitled to have and I didnt say it in a rude way so now I dont think Ill be coming back just based off of how the situation was handled more so than the crummy massage I had this last time around. You get what you pay for; they give the full hour massage and don't cheat you on time, much cleaner than the other Asian massage locations, and someone who speaks perfect English to relay your requests to the masseuse.
