    Shrimp boil

The boil NEVER disappoints! They may not have created the boil bag BUT they perfected it. The sauces, the texture of the shrimp....blissful! The corn-SWEET! The ambiance is calm and dimly lit. The service was good. I'm happy!

Lobster was our favorite because we know how to deconstruct a lobster. Garlic butter & old bay is a winning combo.

This was 1 of the best Cajun Boil's I have ever experienced in terms of taste. The price is acceptable for this quality but may be out of some peoples ideal price range. The service was good. It is not crowded. The spice made us sweat but in a good way. Garlic butter and old bay is my favorite. They do charge 20% automatically if it is a party of 4 or more and limit it to 2 credit cards BUT the bad thing is the automatic 20% bill came and it had a spot to add more tip which is a mistake some could make and that would be tipping over 40% . Fix that. 4/5

This place kinda surprised me. We were randomly craving a seafood boil and my girlfriend recommended this place so we decided to give it a try. We noticed that they set up the tables to look a bit more fancy or upscale but when you look around, it looks like a seafood shack down south. Our server was great, he constantly checked on us and made accommodations where he could. They also put the bib on you which was real surprising. The food was also really good but be prepared to spend a lot, this was definitely on the pricier side for all the seafood boils I purchased. I just give this place a 4 for the price and just receiving one piece of corn lol a lot of potato's but not that much corn at all.

Now THIS is how I like my Garlic Bread.. nicely toasted

We got here pretty late one night, maybe 20 min before last call. (They close at 11 but last seating is 1015 last call might be 1030) They were able to seat us, and still receive great service. We've been here before and this time didn't disappoint. It may have been better than the first time lol. We literally got the same thing as the first time (see previous review), minus the alcohol bevs, I opted for a mango lemonade because they didn't have passionfruit it was still great though. The sauce in the scampi needs to be bottled up and sold fr. It wasn't crowded so we got our food pretty fast, even got a lil end of the night performance from a neighboring guest's daughter. The music here is just the right vibes, esp on a Friday night.

SHRIMP & SNOW CRAB - QUEEN COMBO

Favorite spot to grab seafood from, the shrimp is always super fresh! The crab is also really good and it's never overcooked. Usually, I go for the seafood boil, and I get the queens combo which you can alternate the crawfish for shrimp. If you're not really into spice, I will definitely get the mild. It still has a kick to it, but the medium is a pretty spicy (in my opinion). The garlic bread here is also delicious. I would definitely recommend trying that out with your entrées. Drinks are delicious. We usually go for the classic lemonade. The only thing that I wish would be better is the service. When you're coming to a restaurant where you're most likely going to spend 100 per person you want to make sure that the service is a tentative. Usually when I come, we have reservations but even then sometimes we have to wait a little bit to get seated and then when we do get seated, we have to wait another 10 minutes or more depending on how busy the restaurant is to get our waitress to come take drink orders. It seems that when it's really busy there is only one to two waitresses. The ambience is very pretty in there however it is pretty noisy. We often find ourselves, kinda yelling to hear one another. When it's slow, it's not that hard to hear.

Went on a Monday night which was great cuz it wasn't very busy. The night before we couldn't get a reservation. I've walked past so many times so glad I was able to go. It gives off the expected crab shack of a seafood boil place. Quite spacious as well. The service was quite nice. There was someone in training taking care of us but it worked out. When the boil comes they help you with your bib and provide your gloves and shell crackers for the main event. We went straight in for the boil and it was great. Got the dry rub option and the potatoes and corn were really good in there. More than enough shrimp and crab meat. Was very satisfied at the end of it all. Would recommend

A friend and I arrived just about a hour and a half before closing. It was a Thursday night and TheBoil was nearly empty. I found that rather odd because the avenue was full of people and every other bar and restaurant seemed to have more of a crowd. Our server was kind and he seated us immediately. We ordered two seafood boils, frozen Margaritas and a crab cake appetizer for me. Crab cake was tasty. The accompanying Cajun fries were excellent. My seafood boil was good and spicy but again, only one piece of corn cob. This keeps happening to me. Is there a corn shortage? The music was pretty loud and our server turned it down upon request. The busboy seemed a bit annoyed by our presence the closer it got to closing time. At the end of dinner our bill with the built in gratuity was over two hunnid bucks! Maybe that's why TheBoil was so empty on such a busy night outside. They don't have bibs or boozy bagged drinks either.

Wished I can give them 10 stars, Service 10/10 Food 20/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Someone told us about this place so couldn't wait to try it, walked in it was happy hour, the fried calamari was on sale $8 at happy hour, the oysters think $1:50 for 1 oh not forgetting the Mac and cheese to die for. Order 2 boils, which was definitely worth every penny and more. Everything was cooked to perfection, I have to honestly say this is by far "D" best boil I had. Can't wait to roll up in there again. This time I'll be getting down and dirty...........

I LOVED the boil! It's a really underrated and lesser known place based on the number of people there on a Saturday night. Make no mistake though this place is GOOD. The service is fast, the bartenders are skilled, the drinks are delicious (one of my fave ever lychee martinis), and the food is even better! We absolutely loved the lobster roll and bread pudding and the portions were huge! The inside is very clean with cute and ocean forward decor. The place was perfect for a lunch with colleagues, dinner with friends or family, or even just a quick drink. And then beat part is that you can just drop by--no need for a reservation as there are always plenty of seats. I can't wait to come back!

The oysters were incredible!! I'm not a huge fan of po-boys, but the bread was soft and it didn't have too much mayo, which is what I prefer. I added hot sauce provided on the counter. The staff was friendly and they even threw in a coffee & chicory panna cotta for us to taste, which was delicious. I would definitely come back for the oysters and to try either the gumbo or the crawfish etouffee. Would be back a lot more often if they had a special drink happy hour considering the food is a bit pricey.

Original Hurricane was perfection, had to have another. Not a boozy taste but it does catch up with you. I was a little disappointed with the catfish because I was expecting that Nawlins flavor and it was just fried catfish, meh. The cup of gumbo and the spoonful of rice (not complaining about that, it was enough) is where all of the flavor is! The chicken, the andouille and the roux, brought back so many good memories of good food while in the French Quarter. They did that, I should have gotten a larger portion! Our waiter John was very nice and checked in on us regularly, didn't have to lock for him or try to get his attention. Again the place is small but he was very attentive. I would go back just to try other things and hopefully I will get more of that flavor.

Anyway, the eatery is up the block, sitting at the corner of the street. If we had known, or if they've updated their address online, maybe my husband wouldn't be sporting a bruise on his shiny forehead. On to the food... It was an interesting take on several items. The only thing I would consider ordering again is the seafood jajangmyeon. The jambalaya was underwhelming to say the least. I liked the corn over the rest of the apps. Then again, who can screw up corn?? The establishment have two floors but their first floor requires descending a few steps to access so one would wonder is that a basement. Top floor have the huge windows so every guest wanted to be up there. Toilet is in between the floors, in the middle of the staircase. Better watch your step, or else you would be rollin' with your Kjun!
