    Goodness!

It was actually pretty good today . It has been awhile since we stopped by because last time it was not all that. Had the grandkids and really wanted them to experience it. We all enjoyed and had a great time. Can't wait till the other grandkid come over.

As a Baltimore native, finding a properly cooked blue crab outside of Maryland is quite the undertaking. I am proud to say Boiling Pot got it just right! Having downed a third of my body weight in crawfish during the 2025 season (I am not exaggerating...but that is a story for another day) I was super excited to see that when most places have thrown in the towel, I was still able to include them in my boil this far into the game. While they definitely weren't at their peak, the flavor still rivaled that of some of the better known crawfish places in San Antonio. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the flavor and the spice level of my Dot Special was exactly as I had hoped. Spicy, buttery, juicy...what's not to love! Other than...the extremely giant mess our server made upon pouring it onto the table with a bit less care than I would have hoped, resulting in a constant battle to sop up the edge of the table lest I have seafood juice permanently in my lap (the only reason for knocking off one star). While I may have been living in fear the entire meal, I'd say it was worth it! The mountain of food served for the price is far more than what you would receive in any other gimicky boil place and we appreciated that greatly. Drinks were cold and came quickly, and everyone we encountered was super friendly. The only thing I'd warn you is that the place is small, and voices carry, so be ready to be part of everybody's conversation unless you sit outside! Overall, if you are looking for a classic beach experience with great food and great drinks - Boiling Pot is your place!

First off, fast seating and service! Instantly got a beer a bib! The ambiance very family friendly and fun!! We got the best bowl of gumbo I've had since I visited Louisiana!! And to top it off a great pot of boil that left us all fat and happy!! Definitely will be back!!

First off would like to say the food was great and the atmosphere was very cool, the lemon juice boil was a bit much; next time I think I will do just spicy, BUT be prepared to take out a loan for a bottle of beer! We ordered a few millers as usual not thinking much and when the bill came I nearly spit it out when I saw $11.50 per bottle! Yelp has an outdated menu saying $3-4 per bottle so we were not thinking the prices had gone up much more. Overall it was a fun experience but not sure we will be back much other than if they have a happy hour

Okay, 1st time at a joint like this. And was a little nervous. This place is 4+ stars, The crab boil was on point cooked to perfection, sweet and clean, Delicious. The Shrimp was good to really good. Sausage was tasty, lesson learned being a rookie start with the Crab, then work your way down the food chain. I went backward and had to order a 2nd boil. Great portions Would I come back? oh yeah, great experience. If your here get there it worth it.

Tourist trap food, cheap grade of sausage , old corn, overpriced for what you are getting to eat in the seafood portion.

It's one of my favorit seafood. We go there a couple times of year, because it's quite costly. Service is great..

The 3 stars?, for the very awkward service. We were a party of six. Waitress didn't seem too thrilled to have our table, which leads me to believe she assumed the worst of us. She automatically added her tip. Menu clearly states that happens for party of seven or more . Also they charge a credit card fee. I paid with a bank card. I didn't see anything about extra fees anywhere. We didn't experience this anywhere else in the area. Waitress would very unwelcoming ask if we were ready. "So yall ready". We visit Rockport 2 -3 times a year. I tip for a cup of coffee. But I guess we live in days where profiling has become the norm. It seems like a fun atmosphere, but the good vibes were just not there. The one drink I did order tasted like cough medicine. The potential for it being a great fun drink was there, but I was afraid to order a second. We wanted to hang out but we were very aware we were being rushed out the door.

The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, other diners are friendly and you don't feel rushed, although they get packed, for good reason. The servers and bartenders work hard to make your dining experience special, and do a great job at remembering their customers and their needs. It's a large, varied menu with lots of delicious and some unique items. Kudos to Chef Ben for his consistency, attention to special requests and for being a nice guy. The lovely Victoria does an incredible job managing this busy spot and hiring great staff. And, live music on weekends. This time I had the garlic shrimp, which was exceptional with a huge side of crispy, light , non greasy pub chips...yum. They are usually dusted with cheese, but mine were not due to an allergy. Dylan had the Prime Rib Sandwich, with fries, that he inhaled. A lovely couple next to us, who are regulars, Cathy and her husband (apologies), were so friendly and enjoyed their Million Dollar BLT and fries Kailey was our super attentive and pleasant server, and got to see the two best bartenders in the area, Felicia and Britt. Honestly, if you haven't been, your missing out! And there is also an outside sitting area, and across the street is the Fulton Pier, where you can see dolphins at night!

A versatile menu, the majority of which is seafood, as we're in Rockport, but look out for the PERFECT Ribeye. Cooked exactly as ordered, beautifully seasoned, and one of the most tender and flavorful Ribeye steaks, ever. It includes 3 very tasty, grilled shrimp, and two sides. I had the hottest baked potato ever, yum, and delicious green beans. Dylan enjoyed his steak enourmously, with creamed corn and a loaded baked potato. Although we arrived starving, we could both only eat half. No problem, lunch the next day and Bizou was thrilled. Thank you Stephanie! Also, for Rockport, they're open late (9 pm). But they still kindly greeted people at 8:45. Be kind folks, and show as they're shutting everything down!

While the menu is pleasantly diverse, the food left something to be desired (e.g. overbreaded & overcooked coconut shrimp). The kids menu is 100% deep fried. I don't mind the strip mall location (some of the most amazing restaurants reside there) or the tacky decor (i.e. a poster of an open window on the wall). However, I just wasn't impressed by the food. My main dish -- the coconut shrimp -- was very heavily breaded. The shrimp lost its succulent texture and became one with the breading. Sort of like a mushy organism. Some of the best coconut shrimp I've had has always been lightly breaded -- where the shrimp still retains its pop and is complemented by the batter, not smothered by it. The sides didn't impress either. The cabbage was okay but the creamed corn was a fail altogether. The cream was super liquid-y and sank to the bottom while the flavorless corn sat on top. Unlike the shrimp which united with the breading, the corn seceded from the cream. The alligator was probably the best part. It was pretty heavily breaded but since the tough texture of gator works best when concealed (unlike shrimp), it worked well. The kids' menu was pretty disappointing. It was on brand (fried shrimp, fried fish, chicken strips -- all served with fries). However, I was really hoping to find at least one option that wasn't battered and deep fried. Even just a grilled cheese or a hamburger. The shrimp and the chicken tasted pretty good but once again, heavily breaded. Oh, I must give credit where it is due -- the fries were actually really good! Service was mostly great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She did forget an extra side that we ordered but we had plenty of food so it wasn't a big deal.
