Good Books in the Woods in a used bookstore in a house in The Woodlands. Watch your step as you explore because several time I stepped off a small step too hard because I was looking around in awe and not watching where I was walking. When I say this is a book maze I'm not joking--but you should definitely go get lost in it. Cheers to the proprietor who was so patient with us every time we needed help finding something. The variety they offer here strikes a perfect blend of old and new, encompassing thousands of gently used books to plenty of well curated new releases. The books are sorted into dozens of nooks and crannies that are clearly labeled by genre. Even though the piles of books can seem intimidating at first, it's actually very easy to find what you're looking for and simultaneously stumble upon something new and unexpected. I love that there are comfortable reading chairs hidden among the shelves, making this a very welcoming place to stay awhile. Their sign advertises that they buy, sell, and trade books, which I have missed doing since the old Half Price Books left our area a few years ago. Can't believe I drove by this place for years without stopping in until now; I've really been missing out on a true book lovers' paradise.

I participated in the Houston Book Crawl and wanted to check out this bookstore. I had no idea…read moreabout this place but I'm so glad they're a part of this community event. I was their first participant and Ms. Nikki made me feel so welcomed. I love how the bookshelves are arranged with the new books in front and as you walk through the building they're sectioned off with various fiction, sci-fi, nonfiction, children's, religion, and suspense books. Plus they have a sign that tells you the prices for used hardback and paperback books. The new books are pricier but I know they're worth it at least for me. This was a real treat to check out.

I moved from Austin this month and one thing I knew I would miss is locally owned bookshops. But this is the most wonderful bookstore I've been to. They have an amazingly curated selection, that you can tell is really really intentionally chosen. They have the cutest set up of books, stickers, shirt and more! And everything is super reasonably priced. I am of the mindset that I would love to pay extra to support real people and not big corps :) Kalena was working we chatted with her a bit and she is just so so lovely!!! What a unique bookstore! I came here with some friends for the Book Crawl and as soon as I walked…read morein, I knew I was in for a treat. There are so many options to choose from (fiction, art, and you can literally spend hours walking around through every nook and cranny. We met the owners and they were so nice! They will gladly tell you about the store and even give you recommendations. These are used books so they are priced lower than regular books. For parking, it is street parking so you may have to walk a bit. Shoutout to their welcome sign "We couldn't be more open"!

On two recent occasions I've called to ask whether they have a particular book, they had the answers in a minute, and set aside the books for me. There is a friendly resident cat and two dogs, and the store has the wonderful scent of old paper which brings back my childhood bookstore and library (the old paper smell; the cat and dogs are a bonus).
