I walked over to The Boot from the Holiday Inn and had a great experience. I don't understand the bad food reviews from the others. The place was packed, had a lively atmosphere, service was friendly and attentive. i travel and eat out alone a lot so I know about good and bad service. We had a company event at The Boot last week and had the upstairs patio and room to ourselves. Everyone raved about the venue - the weather was perfect and they had the fire pit fired up for us and most everyone was outside all night. This was our first visit to The Boot Grill. We were seated in the bar area. We ordered a beer and our waitress asked if we wanted to start out with appetizers. We said NO. We waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our order. She walked the room and passed our table at least 4 if not 5 times and didn't look at us once. She finally comes over and says, "Sorry, I got busy". Which was a complete lie because the restaurant was not busy and she had plenty of time to just roam the room. We asked for our tab for the 2 beers and left. With service like this, we will not be back and will not recommend it to our friends. This is the 1st time I have never been waited on before. i think The Boot Grill needs to hire new wait staff. read more

Wow, and not in a good way. I had to use my pants leg to wipe my hands free of the COLD, BLAND, and PATHETICLY over priced boot shooter appetizers that appeared on our table in one of the strangest and dumbest presentations I've ever seen. And the $10 Eagle chips? This is one bird that didn't get off the ground nor in my gut. F-ing gross. In addition... My beer is warm, the service is slow, and where is the damn manager I asked to speak with 20 minutes ago? I'm tired of waiting to complain about my experience...F**K this place. I will not be returning to the Boot! The food has always been just average but I still visit every once and awhile, however my last visit was horrible! The waitress brought over my beer with an orange in it and I politely told her that I would prefer to not have an orange, she proceeded to grab the orange right out of my glass super annoyed, I then asked her if I could have a new glass that didn't taste like oranges and she stomped off in a fit. I decided that I could get better service and beer elsewhere so I walked up to the bar to tell her that I would be leaving and found her complaining about me to the other bartender! Meh. The food was pretty terrible; salads with yellow lettuce and scant toppings like tomatoes and cucumbers, meat was OK but not real steakhouse quality, service was a little slow. Despite an OK and very reasonable kid's menu, there were NO changing tables in the bathrooms - not very child friendly! We will not return as there are several much more delicious steakhouses in the area. read more

If you're going there just to eat, the food is fine and the servers were friendly and timely. However, they offer a shuttle service to and from Eagles games, and this was my experience: We ate our meal (about 8 of us) and got on the shuttle bus to go to the game. They dropped us off right at the front and we walked into the stadium, fantastic! After the game, there were people ahead of us in line and the van filled up, so we had to wait for the second pickup. That's where the trouble began. This was a very snowy night and we were standing outside waiting for the second pickup. After about 20 minutes of waiting, we decided to call the restaurant to find out what the holdup was (it's less than a mile away). Well, we called about 10 times and no one answered the phone. We waited another 20 minutes or so before we finally decided, The Boot Grill had let us down. In heavy snow, we had to walk back to the restaurant to retrieve our vehicles. Someone not in our party but was also waiting for the pickup was on crutches and couldn't make the trek. We offered to drive back to give this person a ride. When we complained, we were given a free drink (which actually had to be refunded later because the bartender didn't get the word). Nice gesture, but hardly makes up for the fact that they left us stranded in heavy snow. Obviously, this isn't a place I would ever go back to. If the shuttle service is that poorly managed, I can't imagine what the rest of the place is like, especially the kitchen. I'd recommend skipping this place. read more

Managed by 13 year olds. Service was terrible, Did not tell us there was a band coming in and sat us right next to it. Moved our table to accommodate the dance floor. Would not accommodate additional friends although there was plenty of room in the dining room. Steak was tough and Fish and Chips tasted like everything else in the fryer. Will never go again, this was the third time we have been there and it has gotten worse each time. read more

A group of us from work went down there and were not impressed. Thereis no parking, the hostesses and waitresses were clearly not hired for their brains and were running around panicked trying to seat people. Once a table was found it took an inordinately long time to take our order at which point she tried to skip over a member of our group and we had to call her back. The food took forever to come out, the appetizers came out with the main course, and it was all cold. The portions were small and the food was on par with a small pub. The beers were moderately priced but we paid 6 dollars for shots that we had to teach them how to make. One of which was forgotten when they delivered them. All of this and we still paid 20 to 30 a head. read more

Arrived with my family in Loveland for one night - stayed next door and appreciated that there was a restaurant within walking distance. Average menu and prices for adult fare-we had the Prime Rib which was a good cut of meat for a good price. Service was not good. Too much time passed before our server even knew we were there even though she had passed our table twice. One salad came for our party but she forgot the remaining 3-she was distracted by the fact that he had a special request (GF) and forgot the rest of us. Hostess at the door was totally clueless-she was more interested in talking to her two girl sidekicks and had to run everything she did past them to see if they thought it was a good idea. Clearly, no independent thinking skills. But, they all loved looking at the "bus boys" going in and out of rooms, flexing their muscles. And, on that topic, found it odd that the "boys" had to work in a team of two...one to clear the table and one to hold the bucket. One would think that even that job wouldn't require too much of a thought process unless you counted making eyes at the female staff, flexing their muscles and grinning at them in passing-clearly high school behaviors. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table (1905-1925) and there were 7 others in back of us. We did not want to sit in the bar, be blown over by the wind on the patio or have a limited menu upstairs - was more than ticked when we realized that there was a "reserved" table for 10 that they would not break down and seat people at even though that reservation was for 2100. NOT good business practice. Not sure I would eat there again. Hope the staff in general gains more experience about serving the public-would hate to see what the management is actually like! read more

We went to The Boot Grill before a hockey game and it was horrible! We ordered the chips and queso as an appetizer and it was nothing more than a small cup of nacho cheese with a basket of chips. Once our food came out I took a look at the underside of my crispy chicken sandwich and it was black. The waitress was extremely apologetic and promised to get me another one and said the manager, Jeremy would be by. Jeremy, who was very busy having to apologize to several other tables never made it by to speak to us. Instead he sat down with a Red Bull in his hand and chatted with some friends. You could tell the waitress was embarrassed that our table clearly wasn't important enough to have a manager come by with a recook. Oh he did tell her offer us a free dessert, needless to say, we passed. Sure, I'd go back for a cold beer but would not take my family or friends there for a meal! Horrible experience at The Boot, Friday 1/22/16. If your cooks can't cook or haven't been trained to cook steak you should not offer it on your menu. A table of 5 all ordered steaks, not one was cooked properly. All well done! We proceeded to eat the steaks then we had a HAIR in one plate, the baked potatoes were so hard you could not even pull the potatoes from the side, they missed serving the side with one dish. We complained about all and they took off the steak with the hair and that is ALL. We decided to chalk that up and have drinks, our last straw was ordering a Long Island and getting it delivered to the table with 3/4 tequila even the waitress tasted it and apologized. After a very hefty bill of food cooks were untrained to prepare and drinks bartenders were clearly unable to mix we left. We are from the Loveland area and we join the many unwilling to go back. I can't see this place making it which is such a shame as when they first opened it was a completely different experience. read more

Your Was very disappointed with dinner and the service. Prime rib was ordered rare, was served dry and without horseradish. I requested some and by the time she brought it my meat was completely cold. The salads were very skimpy and they were made with strange grassy looking lettuce. The baked potatoes were over cooked, hard as a rock on the outside and dry and almost empty on the inside. We also ordered the surf and turf, the surf wasn't brought until dinner was almost over, without cocktail sauce. When asked for cocktail sauce the waitress looked at me like I spoke a different language and said she didn't think it was available. She returned when we were almost done and announced that they made it fresh. The whole experience was just not good. Our water glasses never got refilled, the beer order never made it back to us. The $69 tab was not at all worth the dinner. We don't go out for steak often and when we do we go to the places that we have had great food at, the first time we ate at the Boot the dinner was wonderful and the service was great. And they were busy that night. The other night we sat in the bar and it was after the dinner rush and before the band started, not at all that busy. i went there last night for dinner and drinks and it took over 40 min to get our food and the food was not very good and didn't even get any silverware for about 5 mins after we got our food the service was very poor the server had no clue what see was doing the manager was rude and very cocky over all it was a very bad experience we will not be going back there again read more

We use to LOVE The Boot. It wouldn't break the bank and the service was worth the 30 minute drive. Tonight, 1/3 of our Ribeye was fat. The baked potato that was loaded didn't even have butter. It wasn't cut and hard as nails and the butter was on the side. My wife had two sides - one didn't come out and the onions she paid extra for came out later for her steak and not on top. Her loaded mashed potatoes sat so long that she went to take a bite and all the cheese came off because it was so hard from sitting under the lamp. No silverware or app plates until we asked. Our waitress had one table and was MIA. The "manager" was more focused on texting and walking through the dining room with a drink! The cook was just wandering around up front. A waitress announced as she was walking through that she "was going outside" which I don't want to hear she is going to have a cigarette. Then, they dropped the check even though I overheard they had my wife's favorite dessert, Creme Bruelle, which she would have loved. We had to ask for the kids "cup of dirt" and it didn't even have Oreos on it - come on!!!! It was like no one cared at all. Such a bad deal for $100. What a waste and we won't be back! read more
