If I could give this business a -1 minus star for my review it would go like this: 1. If you want to be overcharged for junk food dressed up like "a gourmet delight" eat here. 2. We tip for service does not apply here. They automatically charge you a pre-estimated 20% tip for service. 3. They can't cook and rely mostly on alcohol to promote their snack sales. Big plus of this place besides the good food was that we could walk here from our hotel around the corner. I did make a reservation on-line but couldn't get anything early except for an hour out so we walked over and immediately got a table - go figure. The service was a bit slow - not sure if they were lacking help but it was a drag. The score on this place would have been lower due to this issue but the food was strong and it was $7 martini night (on Tuesdays). I got one that tasted like a Blue Hawaiian, another got the Purple Haze and the third got the Strawberry shortcake- all looked beautiful and were very good. I ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread with a Korean BBQ flavor which was exceptionally good. My wife ordered the quinoa bowl which included chicken - she liked it a lot. The others had a different flatbread (I don't recall which one) and stuffed mushrooms which they shared and gave good reviews. The prices were reasonable. I neglected stopping in at the bottle room for years because I thought they only had wine options. How silly of me. One evening after a wedding, we decided to stop in and give it a try. If you are just looking for a place for drinks than this place is okay. The service was amazing, wait staff was incredibly friendly. However I was less impressed with the beer selection (given the name and the logo) and the price. I'll pay $9 and $15 for a hard to get or top shelf beer. But as much as I like local Ahnapee $10 seemed a bit steep. My biggest complaint was the food. The price I paid for 3 THINLY sliced pieces of brisket and a quarter of flatbread was ridiculous. They called it a half sami but clearly this is a 1/4 a sandwich. And the meat didn't even cover the whole thing. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews of this place. My experience wasn't good. My sister and I decided we wanted to try a cocktail and were both pretty hungry. We decided to sit at a corner table because I don't like sitting in the middle of any restaurant or bar, but our waitress asked us if we wanted to switch seats because the table we picked had five chairs. It was about five o'clock on a Friday but not very busy. Then she seated us right in the middle next to an old couple that kept staring at us and a loud crowd of people at the bar. Not a good start. I don't remember the name of our waitress but she seemed a bit strange to me. At one point she was just standing in a corner smiling. I thought I'd try the jalapeno raspberry margarita and I know it's supposed to be an upscale place but it was a pretty small drink for nine dollars. And it wasn't made very well, it was so spicy I could barely drink it. I understand jalapenos have some heat but that was overkill. My sister didn't like her drink either. I ordered the shrimp tacos for $13 and they were incredibly disappointing. Very small and not much in them. The shrimp was mushy and they were bland overall. I can name at least twelve restaurants in town that have better tacos than this place. After tip, my total was $25 and I left there hungry and disappointed. I do not recommend this place if you are hungry enough to eat a meal or if you want a good drink. Basically, there's no reason to come here unless your work has a party and it's at this place and your boss is paying for your drinks all night. read more

My visit was business meeting that transformed into a date night. The cocktail selection provided a Peach Bourbon Arnold Palmer that was enjoyable. Business meeting made even more pleasant. We moved to patio high top for date night, shared the Bavarian Pretzel which was accompanied by ground mustard and a cheese sauce. I chose the Patio Perfection flight of wines. Franco Serra Cortez most memorable of the flight. Our server guided me to select Bacon Bleu Wedge Salad which was plated perfectly and provided excellently balance of greens and dressings. I held my niece's bridal shower in the just-right-sized back room of The Bottle Room and from beginning to end it was a great experience. Rebecca, Shayna and Sidney were perfect. Our group was small enough that they allowed us to order off the menu and the food was delicious and delivered very timely. No one really waited for food or drinks. Sat out on the patio and had a wonderful time! The pecan old fashioned is maybe the best drink I've ever had. Tastes exactly like a pecan pie - soul warming and so, so good. Regular old fashion was very good as well, was very orangey though. Not necessarily a complaint. The lobster buffalo dip was outstanding. Just the tiniest bit spicy but delicious. I love this place. They have been a welcome addition to the Howard-Suamico area since day one. An awesome selection of wine, most of which has been hand picked by the owners, great craft beer (for the non-winos), and an array of cocktails to please any palate. They have food as well that is the perfect bite with whatever you opt for drinks. The vibe is laid back, so it's great for a night out with friends. Often on weekends they have live music, but it's not so loud that you can't hear yourself think. I highly recommend stopping in to see all that The Bottle Room has to offer! read more

This is truly one of our Happy Places. We love the vibe- relaxing and full of energy at the same time. If the weather is nice, it's nice to sit outside with the fire pit. They even give you blankets if you need them! The service is friendly and knowledgeable. We love that they change both the food and drink menu periodically so we can try new things. I love the bottle room, it's a great place to enjoy small plates and discover great wine. I have tried all the wine flights except the sweet ones because I am not a fan of sweet wine, and being able to try them has hallows discover some great new wines, if you buy bottles after a flight you get a 5 % discount. They sell some great wines that I have has at restaurants but have not been able to find in other places, a little more expensive but worth it to me. On this visit I had the shrimp ceviche, which sadly was just okay. The shrimp tasted over cooked so I think it may have sat in the citrus too long and it really didn't have much flavor. I also had the sirloin sriracha flatbread which was amazing. My friend had the marinated olives and the kale salad and she said both were very good, her salad looked very fresh and I did try one of the citrus olives and it was really good. The service here is outstanding, if you have a wine question they have the answer, they know their wines for sure. If you are not a wine drinker fear not, they have full bar and make a great martini, and they have great craft beer including many local microbrews, you can also get beer flights and the pour is quite generous. The lack of 5 stars is because my ceviche was not very good and because their were some issues with getting the salad without the chicken and not being charged for it. I always think the salad should be without the protein and if you want protein added then there is an up charge, and eventually the waiter do get the price of the chicken removed which was greatly appreciated, otherwise all in all it's a great place that I definitely recommend and will go back for sure. After I wrote this review, one of the owners responded, and based on my review, they tried the ceviche and agreed with me that is want up to their standard so they are taking it off the menu. When a business owner responds to a review it's great but when they thank you and make changes based on a customer review, that is some one that cares about their business and their customers! I've been wanting to come here forever! Finally made it here, service was great! We were sat right away, food came out quickly. I wasn't a fan of the raspberry margarita I got, very bitter tasting. The wine we got was good though! All of the food was amazing. I wish the menu was a little bigger, I saw so many pictures of things on Yelp not shown on the menu when we arrived. Possible seasonal menu? However, I wasn't a fan of location. I didn't picture it being connected to a strip mall. The mushrooms that are stuffed were raw mushrooms stuffed with cold stuffing. Avoid. The duck bruschetta had large chunks of raw garlic on it if you are not into that you should not order that either. The only thing at this visit I would order again was the pork brioche sliders. The service was friendly and prompt. However lunch today should have included a gluten free sandwich, but either the meal wasn't gluten free or the cross contamination was too severe. * I would not recommend this place for anyone with celiac disease. *UPDATE: Due to the severity of my symptoms and pain, the cook used regular bread after I had advised the server I was Celiac and requested (& paid for) gluten free bread. *UPDATE: I have had cross contamination before (eating fries cooked in the same oil as breaded items), and it resulted in a few hours of discomfort later in the day. I know what cross contamination will do to me and I take steps to mitigate this from happening. This was a full blown gluten attack, where I am in day 4 of serious symptoms, and my intestines have YET to stop throbbing from the pain (plus a list of other symptoms not to be published). The last time I was "glutened" in a restaurant was my own fault (eating a California Roll with imitation crab meat), so I have been vigilant in educating myself on what hidden food ingredients can be found to contain gluten. After this last trip I now have a new GF plan for restaurants, and that is to ask to see the product being substituted as GF. When I think back to the bread on the sandwich, it was much too fluffy & limp to have ever been GF. Or I will simply continue with my avoidance of "GF" substitution items, since they cannot be trusted. read more

Excellent service and variety in an unassuming spot! It's a great spot for groups with high top bar-style seating for two as well.
