They also have a salad "special stuff" refrigerator case where you can get tabbouleh, hummus, different kinds of rice, pasta and veggie salads, cool casseroles, taquitos, yummy olive rolls (yes, just olives baked in rolls, sooo good!). It is also a neighborhood bodega/grocery, with a nice selection of high quality foods, cookies, snacks, bread, good tortillas, and a great wine selection. The ladies who run it are very nice. It is in a neighborhood and always has parking out front and has shady tables in front in case you want to eat there.

They do, however, have a large selection of wine and beer. Depending on prices, this might be their biggest draw. The ambience here is old small town store vibe. Many of their shelf stable specialty items have no price on them so you really don't know what the price tag is unless you don't care or have to ask. The service counter is very small and crowded with the kind of things you would find in a Seven-11--lottery tickets, vitamins, gum etc. Service was OK for what it is. Maybe because I came on a Tuesday, there were only half a dozen premade salads, (bean salad, potato, salad, etc.) A list of sandwich specialties were handwritten written on a piece of paper tacked to the wall. Specialty Sandwich selections were limited, but they will make you any type of sandwich you want. I had a ham and cheese, and the ham was that slick, processed type of ham, which most folks don't care for. Bottom line: it's resting on its sandwich laurels , trying to maximize profits as best they can.

Can't say the same about the refrigerated food ex the sandwiches, pasta salads, and BBQ tofu. I really used to enjoy the BBQ tofu when it was from boontberry in willits. The tofu now is just bland with no salt. Most of the food in that case is like that. Vegetarian food doesn't have to be bland. You can use salt. Wish they would make some changes to the hot bar also. Make people want and enjoy vegetarian food not the opposite. Vegetarian food has come a long way the co op could do much better in that regard.

When I had the chance to visit his adorable and welcoming brick and mortar place in Ukiah, you can bet I drove out of my way to do so ~ and boy, am I glad I did! Gyro just as delicious as I've ever had, with delightful service to match. Wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this yummy food more regularly, since they no longer do festivals. The bottle shop deli is a place you come to for great fresh tasting food with access to any condiments and drinks you can think of. With the make your own style of sandwich ordering you can get your custom sandwich. I had wheat bread avocado, for extra 1$, lettuce, cheddar cheese and tomato.... It was perfect. Our approximate wait time was maybe 3 minutes for two small sandwiches. The customer service was very cordial and proactive on stocking the shelves making sure all is presentable. All and all I give it 5 stars cause I was taken care of well and the food was fresh. read more

I used to go here every day in high school and it was great. The workers were always friendly. However, I went here recently and I received food poisoning twice. It could have been from me having to wait a bit to eat when I got back to work or it was some bad meat. I do still like the Bottle Shop but I haven't been had any good experiences lately. Hopefully soon I will be able to have a good experience. read more
