I can't believe all the good reviews of this place. Because of this, I decided to preorder Christmas goodies from this bakery. There was a sign in the door stating if you pre ordered skip the line and go to the counter. What a lie! The line for picking up pre orders was longer than the order line. The process was disorganized, the clerks were just standing around and not assisting customers. It took over an hour and half standing in a line outside in the cold, to pick up a prepaid order. They did not even apologize for the long wait. We will not be ordering from them again. What a disappointment. I can't believe they got a rating of best bakery! read more

My new favorite local spot! The west valley has no bakeries so I was so thrilled to finally find one with amazing baked goods! And only 15 minutes away! They are a family owned business. And it is so cute inside. Also, not pictured is a Carmallow cold brew. I finished it before I got home. It was the best cold brew I had ever tasted before! The cherry pastry was so flaky and absolutely delicious. Wish I would have grabbed another one. I had never heard of a scone before so I had to try it. And it was amazing, so tender and tasty. The pink swirl cookie is much better than other cookies you can get from other companies. It's soooo soft and the frosting is incredible! And I tried a homemade poptart since it was calling my name. Came here today for their soft opening in Surprise, AZ. Very cute bakery shop! We tried their Raspberry Island tea, which was great. We didn't try any of their pastries today, but they looked delicious. We saw varieties of sugar cookies, brownies and scones in their display window that all looked tasty. Very cute interior design as well. The only critique that I have for this place is that I did not see a menu displayed of what they offer. They have different coffees and teas for sale but because there wasn't a menu, it made ordering a bit more complicated. I know this was only a soft opening, so hopefully a permanent display menu will appear later down the line! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The staff is always so kind and welcoming (especially when I'm wrangling a toddler while trying to order). The vibe is so friendly and warm, which is why I will continue to support this family-run business. The often have a basket of books for little ones, and the large family style table is so dreamy! Now the food-I have yet to try something I do not LOVE. The baked goods are obviously made with so much care and consideration. I only drink decaf coffee, which is often hard to find, but Boyer has definitely taken the time to scout out good decaf coffee! I had a Churro Latte and fell in love! My Recommendations: Seasonal Green Teas, Blueberry Lime Poptart, Brown Sugar Poptart and lastly, the Brownie (they use dark chocolate so they aren't too overpowering). Had a honey vanilla latte & it was super yummy, I also bought some pastries like a chocolate chip cookie, muffin, and a cinnamon streusel roll. It was my 1st time at the shop & to be honest I definitely did not feel the hospitality, the cashier acted like she had no customer service and I felt like she expected me to know the menu. I don't know if she was having a bad day but I definitely did not feel welcomed. I've been around customer service for about 8 years or so and never have I ever made a customer feel this kind of way, regardless if I was having a bad day. Hopefully this feedback helps with improving hospitality, my intentions are to never give a bad review but to help customers feel acknowledged. It's crazy to have to do this because this could have been the best bakery / cafe I've ever been to, but me and my son get extremely sick immediately after eating here EVERY SINGLE TIME and BOTH LOCATIONS. I promise I would never want to write this... the selection, the taste, the interior, + is top notch... but it's 100% the fault of this bakery. It's explosive diarrhea... it's stomach bug... it's almost immediately after taking a bite or sip... and it's every single time. We only go here in the mornings and there's always days / weeks between visits... there's no way it's something else. Everything from their chicken salad salad to their matcha to their pop tarts to their other baked goods... each bite leads to gut wrenching pain. We have no food allergies. I wish it wasn't this way, but they need a safety check over there... We can't be the only ones; I think others must not say anything because they either can't believe it either or really like the staff and don't want to offend. Been here 2 times now, I love the baked goods and the interior is really nice. If you're like me and you don't like Starbucks coffee, you won't enjoy the coffee here much either. They come out with fun flavors but the coffee component is very bitter and tastes burnt like Starbucks does. That's the only thing keeping me from coming here more often. They do sell other drinks however that were very good! The service the first time we went was friendly and welcoming, the second time was a not as welcoming but I never make it a big deal, things happen. I highly recommend trying their pastries! We just dropped in to grab some Christmas treats since we don't have many bakeries in the west valley and WOW would be an understatement! This place is amazing! My peppermint mocha is not sickeningly sweet but I can still taste the peppermint! I ordered a raspberry shortbread bar and I can't even describe it. lol it was soo good but again... not over the top sweet. I've had this place on my list of places to try for awhile now. I finally got around to it on Tuesday. I was surprised to see that they had a line out the door on a Tuesday morning. Thankfully they had an employee start a 2nd register and the line moved quickly. When I got up to the register I told the lady it was my 1st time in and I needed to look in the case a little bit. She was so sweet, she welcomed me and told me to take my time and let her know if I had any questions about anything. (I really appreciate this as some places seem to rush you, but she was very patient with me) I had a few questions about a few items and she was able to answer them for me. I got an assortment of items to include some breakfast pastries and some after school snacks that I'd bring home for my kids. And some dessert items. I knew I wanted to try a coffee as well since my friends all rave about it I was a little undecided and the worker asked me what flavors I liked and then suggested me a drink ( I think it was Carmellow) so I tried that one. And it was delicious! So creamy, smooth and you could taste the espresso which was really nice for a change. After I had ordered I was looking around at their shelves where they stock local vendors with handmade jewelry, and soap. I'd love to go back just to look at all the fun stuff they have available. My pastries were divine, the vanilla bean scone was flaky and moist, the blueberry muffin was packed with juicy berries and my brownie was soft and rich in flavor. My husband said the cheesecake was the best he has had since moving from New York. And my kids gobbled up their peanut butter cookies. Overall 10/10 for customer service: the young girl was very attentive and knew the products well and served with a smile. 10/10 taste: still dreaming of taking another bite of the flaky scones. 10/10 vibe and decor: super cute store with nice music playing not to loudly where you can still visit with a friend. We went here for the first time last weekend and it was slam packed! One suggestion- if people are only getting bakery fill the order at the counter instead of making them wait. I think it will lead to less congestion. We only got a few items, we got an almond croissant which was amazing, we got a pear tart which was good but not great, and we got a cannoli crumb cake which was omg fantastic!!!
