We tryed this place for the first time today.... We got a pina colada and a frozen margarita. Both were tasty and we felt nice and relaxed after that :-) For lunch we got the combo fajitas which are chicken steak and shrimp. These are pretty standard as to what you're going to get everywhere which is good. The service was good also the lady was nice and pleasant and didn't bother us too much but knew what we needed and when we needed to order. I did really like the chimichanga since it was covered in queso.... It was also tried to a perfect golden brown with the side of rice and refried beans if you can expect. All in all I would give it two thumbs up and I think it's definitely worth going back soon. read more

The last 2 times I've been there at lunch the noise is awful and it's all from various sources of music and TVs all at once. Both times, the semi-open kitchen has music blasting, we were under aTV with sound just loud enough to annoy but not be heard, and there was music from speakers. Caleb greeted us as we came in and brought menus to our table. Looked as though most people there were regulars and enjoying their food while watching TV programs throughout the restaurant. We ordered beef and chicken taquitos with sides of charro beans and Spanish rice. Chips and house made salsa were excellent, freshly made. Salsa was neither too hot or too mild, perfect! Our meals were ready within 10 minutes after ordering and served nice and hot. The taquitos were fried crispy and meat was moist and tender, quite flavorful. We went to meet my wife's nephew in Bulverde so his stepdaughter can spend the weekend with us in the hill country. We found this well reviewed Mexican restaurant in the area so we used it as our meeting place. While there, we ate an early dinner. The food was good, not great. For Mexican food, it's tasty and the seasoning is milder than the usual spices found in other eateries. Service was efficient and once the food was ordered, it arrived hot and smelling good. As for the ambiance, it's pleasant and we were surprised by the number of people eating inside. The area had 3 restaurants, this one, an Italian restaurant and a dessert shop in the middle. So. I had been wanting to try this place since moving here a few years ago. I had a lunch special (speedy Gonzales)which was priced very very reasonably. The food is just ok. It just tastes bland and uninspiring. Nothing to remember. They seemed busy with lots of to go orders. The server was good but seemed to forget about us towards the end. These little street tacos were quite filling. I appreciate that each taco came with two corn tortillas, but these were so strong that it only needed one! Crazy to say about a corn tortilla tbh. This place also had amazing paletas :) I got a coconut one and it made me smile. read more

We stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. Husband said it was the best bacon he has ever eaten and on top of that PERFECTLY cooked. His pancakes looked great as well. I had nice breakfast tacos. They were very nice about making me one with chicken fajita strips, even though it's not on the menu. The smooth and creamy green salsa had some punch - super yummy! The service was excellent. Enough staff to take care of the large serving area. If it was later in the day we would have checked out the bar. Decorated nicely for Christmas including 3 uge inflatables on the outdoor patio. Came here on a Friday night around 7:30pm with my husband as we just moved to the area and wanted to try it out. Summary - food, service, and atmosphere need improvement. Skinny margarita was not fresh (tasted like the lime juice bottled from the store). Food was okay but not great. Chips weren't warm or fresh. After we received our food, no one checked on us and took probably 20 minutes after we were done eating to get the check since the employees were just gathered at a table talking amongst each other. Love the menu and it has a very authentic Mexican feel. Some of my favorites on the menu are the chimichungas and enchiladas. I especially like the margaritas and the chips that they give you to start out are pretty tasty as well. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. We love the chips and salsa here so much. I'm currently pregnant and was craving it so much - hit the spot! My husband said the mini tacos were so good and it was just enough food to fill him up. The el pastor comes with grilled pineapple which I LOVE- husband doesn't like fruit but I ate all of it for him . Stopped in tonight for dinner because we were in the area. My fiancé looked up places around us and felt like Mexican was a good idea. It didn't disappoint! We're real big on chips and salsa and Limestone had THREE delicious salsas. The green one is hot hot tho, so be careful! We ordered the fajitas, enchilada plate (I can't remember the name) that came with 2 enchiladas, crispy taco and rice & beans. They were delicious! The beans were so good. I'm a sucker for some refried beans, dude. Just so yummy and satisfying. The service was great too! We didn't have any adult beverages but I'd love to try a margarita next time. :) read more

Everything is good but the Best is the huge serving of chicken tortilla soup. It's my go to for the best light lunch but I have to ask for a half order. Wonderful service and ambience. Every time. I mean it. EVERY time we've been here, we had issues. Today, there were three incidents. 1. Served me a fresh drink with a fly in it. 2. Plastic bag corner served in chips. 3. Waitress put my food order in wrong/served wrong dish/did not correct order. Last time, I ordered a margarita. There was so much salt in the bottom it wasn't drinkable. Replaced with a drink with the same issue. Before that, I had an issue that was never resolved about a food allergy. Where is the management? Where is the training? Why are all the servers sitting at a table in the dining room on their phones and laptops? While the food is ok, these other issues make me want to stay away forever and/or call the health department. read more

My family and I have been to Limestone 3 times now as It is close by and convenient to us when we feel like staying close to our home. However, I am truly stuck between 3/4 stars. I'll give 4 stars in hopes that I can give some helpful advice though! Pros: I feel the best thing I've had here fo far is the Ceviche Costaño (with octopus). I enjoy trying new things (I love octopus but have never had it in ceviche) and this was so delicious, even my kids were eating it up! I also think the inside of this place is decent for our area. In this area, there are a lot of brand new buildings but we can't forget about the places that were here first and slowly giving a "hole in the wall" vibe. Cons: For the actual meals, they have been alright. My plates have had cheese on them, and I do feel they were too cheesy, but that's just personal preference. If you like cheesy, you may love these plates! Now, the real reason why I took stars away....the chips and salsa make me sad. The chips aren't anything special but the salsa makes me not care to eat it. I thought it was just a one time thing, but this salsa is consistently watery, flavorless, and oddly, warm. I have a hard time even scooping it to get any flavors without possibly making a watery mess on the table. My husband won't eat it and the kids don't overeat on chips before their meals come (maybe a pro?!?) Anyway, I do enjoy Limestones presence in the community but feel there are some tweaks in recipes that can be made! read more

Eaten here about 4 or 5 times. My favorite menu item is the grilled steak alambres. It is very good and full of flavor. I also like their Spicy hot sauce - you have to ask for it. My wife feels the lighting needs help - bulbs are not matching making the atmosphere seem less than pleasant. Also servers seem to stage pitchers for refills all over and it seems a bit junky. This place has a delicious chicken fajita lunch special. Possibly some of the best chicken fajitas around. This is my new regular spot when I'm in the area. The parking lot is poorly designed so it's a little confusing, it looks like your parking at a neighboring restaurant as there are 2 restaurants and a dentist that share a building, the lot is in front of the place to the left, everything else is behind a bank drive through so it can be confusing to locate if you are not familiar with it already. A very solid Ma and Pa type restaurant, better than most. We first found it by accident (it's off 46) and it has been a favorite for us when we are in the area. It has gone through a few remodelings-for the better and the food has been consistently good which is a huge plus.
