We were driving around looking for a place that serves wings and we found this one at Kingwood Dr. We decided to check it out and it did not disappoint us! The wings are really good, and so are the salads. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and I was surprised to find out that the chicken was freshly made. In fact it was still a bit warm sitting on top of the lettuce. It was moist too and good quantity; not the usual three pieces of dried and re-heated chicken. Delicious! It is a sports bar but the TV volume is not so high that you cannot keep a conversation going. Customer service was impeccable. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our waitress. I am in a club that meets once a month and after the meeting we like to go dine out but it's kind of late and Big City Wings is about the only place open in our section of Kingwood. Ok, the food is ok for a sports bar. Decent hamburgers and salads. I am not a wing fan but some of our group says they have good wings. Here is what I hate about this place.... sticky floors and tables. Do they ever really clean anything? It's like someone spilled coke or something and everything is so sticky and nasty to touch. I know I am in the minority probably at a sports bar but the wines the serve SUCK. The cheapest crap available and they are not cheap. Tell the server you want a glass of merlot and they stare at you until you point to it on the menu. I had ordered 10 wings my wife order the wing basket off the lunch menu and my kid had the grilled cheese sandwich and for an appetizer we had the big city onion rings. Food was just above mediocre. Our wings weren't that wet with sauce it was more on the dripping butter grease side we had buffalo, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan , and new sour cream and onion flavor. The lemon pepper wings dry seasoning wasn't that great, the buffalo sauce flavor was good but wasn't much on the wings, the garlic Parmesan was good and my favorite was the new sour cream and onion flavor it's a powdered seasoning surprisingly good! Our meals came with waffle fries that was warm not hot at all! The big city onion rings was really good we enjoyed them. What I do like about this place is that you can pick a flavor for each of your wings I really like that option, also I like fact that you can choose from a few different side of fry's such has shoestring, waffle, tater tots, sweet potato tots, & sweet potato waffle and you can have a option of seasoning them for .50 cents. First off I have to say I really like this new location for big city wings! Today was their second day being open. Jeff is doing a great job here! He checked on our table to made sure we had everything we needed. I saw him walk the floor and do the same with all tables. That's how your run a restaurant! The wings here are huge! YUGE!!!! Like for real they big! BIG! They are so big they I could eat 5 and be full. I typically need about a good 10 PC wing to fill me up too lol. Not here 5 could be just what the doctor ordered. The wings are very tasty but they were not crispy. I asked for crispy too but since they are just starting out I can understand they have a lot going on. If you order wings tell them crispy. They taste much better that way. Their ranch is really good as well. Also the fried pickles are really good. They're extremely huge and big. I really enjoy those.
