Katherine and another young lady working the bar were our servers and were awesome! My husband and I are regulars at BHT, but we usually just order drinks at the bar. We never realized how good their "bar & restaurant" food was! It can't even compare to BJ's brewery or Whiskey Cake! We've now ordered from them several times since they close later than most restaurants. We had my brother and sister in law over so we figured we'd take them here for some drinks and good food. We ordered a variety of food and it was all consistently good! I really like their Cajun wings because they are juicy and never greasy. The grilled chicken Cesar salad by far one of the best I've had! Don't forget to sign up for a Landry's card so you can earn rewards. Great burger spot! My wife and I met up with a friend who was traveling for work here and we were not disappointed. Burgers were very good, fries excellent and the wings were also a fan favorite! Another year another late night dinner at Brick House becuase it is basically a tradition at this point. Whenever we are in Texas for a pageant this is where we end up for dinner because they are open late and always willing to accommodate our large group. Solid Service, Decent Food - But Skip the Cocktails- 05/24/2025 I visited Tavern and Tap for the very first time while attending my sister-in-law's son's high school graduation party. Even though I've known about this place for years, I never felt compelled to try it, until now. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. Customer service was impressive, especially given the size of our party. The servers had to juggle a large crowd, but you wouldn't have known it, they remained calm, professional, and friendly throughout. I imagine they may have felt overwhelmed behind the scenes, but they handled everything with ease and grace. As for the food, it was solid American-style cuisine. Nothing fancy, which fits the name and vibe of the restaurant. Everything we tried was decent to good. However, the cocktails were a letdown. I ordered a Loaded Strawberry Lemonade Cocktail, and it tasted like Kool-Aid or fruit punch, no kick at all. My daughter had the Strawberry Lemon Drop and said the same thing: more juice than cocktail. Came here after a walk at the nearby park. The service was great, waiters were very attentive. I got the zombie drink which has 4 diff rums and was delicious. It tasted just like a rum punch. I got the September burger of the month which was a double patty burger with quesadillas instead of a traditional burger bun. I've never had anything like it before, it was a 10/10 for sure! The ambiance was nice and they have a nice dog friendly patio. Spacious parking lot too, def will be back! read more

We tried this place for our first time this weekend. We really had high hopes going in. When we walked in, the smell of cigarettes was so bad I wanted to leave, but thought maybe once seated it would be better. We persevered on because the Hamburger had high ratings and that's what we were craving. I will say the double meat patty was delicious, but if I'm paying over $17.00 (with tax) for a hamburger, I don't want the bun to taste like they took it straight out of a plastic bag. The French fries were not hot or fresh, and tasted like they were from the freezer section in the grocery store. The service was fair. We really wanted to like this place, but most likely won't return. My husband's eyes were burning so badly when we left. I understand it's a bar also, but proper ventilation would help this issue tremendously for the restaurant side. Sadly, it's not for us. read more

So this has always been one of our to go places for the fish and chips due to price, taste of food and portion size. This time we were highly disappointed not only did they change the fish (they are now strips instead of whole) the fries were overly cooked and thrown on the plate whereas before they were in little buckets. The customer service was mediocre our food was dropped off, checked on us once, didn't refill our glasses and it was not that many people so no excuse.On top of that we had to wait extremely long for her to pick up the final check. Great atmosphere and always nice employees. Was also great that they have inside and outside open to the bar on nice days. Food. Well they have some good food though my grilled chicken sandwich was just too much bread and fell apart when eating it. They cut it into quarter sections then skewer them. I just wanted a whole sandwich...no need to present it this way as it just falls apart. Also it had the bottom and top bun and they put another piece of bread in the middle like a big Mac. Way too much bread. Place was very slow, maybe 3 tables and 3 other people at bar and my sandwich took 25 minutes. I'm sure it was just a one time thing but I'll be back there to see and try something different. read more

I was staying near IAH for a quick layover and the front desk receptionist at the hotel recommended this place. Let me point out it was almost 10p and there was a fight my husband was looking to watch -- not leaving us many options. Thankfully, to my surprise I was actually impressed with the establishment. The menu was more than just your average bar food and had a nice assortment of cocktails. It did take us a little while to get a server once sat, but the service we received more than made up for it! We opted for the Ceasar salad and burger of the month, both of which were nice size portions. While the salad wasn't the best the burger was unique and delicious! read more
