This was our first time coming here, there is a bar and a decent sized open seating area. There were also seats outside with a pond in the back. We ordered lemon pepper wings, small catfish, and buffalo chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food, and were impressed with our server. He was very attentive and helpful when we asked questions. It was an enjoyable lunch.

Food was great, amazing view, and pet friendly. Who could ask for more? Oh wait, they had beer on tap!

A Smoking Allowed patio (although I didn't notice any when we were there.)

We were daytripping out west of DFW for my birthday, just taking a relaxed drive. When dinner time rolled around, many places were closed after 6 or 7, but we found a welcoming country restaurant south of Cleburne that had friendly people, good food and a lovely sunset as it turned out. The Break Room Brewing Company is about 4 miles south of the heart of town with an expansive dining room, separate bar area, terrific patio with a pond and ample private parking. They have a terrific menu here. I ordered the Fried Catfish Basket served with two sides. One filet was $9.00, two for $15.00. I selected one filet with fried okra and garlic mashed potatoes. I love fried okra. I also ordered the house salad - Crisp romaine, bacon, tomatoes, cheese, egg, croutons & your choice of dressing for $6. My husband went for the Two Fried Pork Chops topped with a brown sugar bourbon glaze served with your choice of two sides ($18). He had the baked potato, onion rings AND also ordered a house salad when he saw mine!! The house salads were wonderful. We asked for cucumber to be added and it was a refreshing and generous start to our meal. My catfish filet was large! and cooked perfectly. Yum. But the mashed potatoes had little to no garlic flavor. They were okay as mashed potatoes go - a little clunky. The fried okra though was an enormous platter of deliciously seasoned and scrumptious veggie that I couldn't stop eating. SO GOOD. My husband found his pork chop chewy. I didn't find that out until later because he concentrated on devouring a HUGE baked potato. HUGE. He really enjoys a good baked potato. His onion rings were battered well, crispy with firm tasty onion inside. I thought they were terrific. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was so kind. It was my actual birthday and although I had been celebrating for several days, she and my husband set up a cheese cake surprise to go that was so very good later! We would like to return in more temperate weather and dine out on the patio. A very pretty multi bulb lit spot, I loved it. There were some tables and chairs, some picnic tables and a fire pit out there. I saw a couple of grills, too. We would love to come back.

The Break Room in Cleburne was impressive with the excellent food, wait staff, and live music ! I decided on chicken fried steak, green beans and sweet potato fries. WOW, glad I was hungry. They serve alcohol so vodka and cranberry juice was my selection since we had a designated driver. The establishment was crowded but well worth the wait and I will definitely be going back! Santa was there to hear any of the last-minute children's request. What fun!! The Break Room has a very large parking area for us newcomers, and all of the regular customers. I recommend you take a break from cooking dinner and let these folks impress you with their steaks, shrimp, burgers and more. I must say I like to see the owner walk around and greet customers, chatting with the regulars, and making you feel at home whether you're eating or sitting at the bar having a drink. The Break Room at 4001 Tx 174 in Cleburne Texas has my approval ! Thanks Tresa and Paul for invite to dinner !

Stopped in for a quick lunch while out on the road. Extra bonus, they have a couple of their own brews on tap, including a very nice session IPA. Nice diner menu, with burgers, sandwiches, and dinner plates. We opted for cheeseburgers, even had a choice of jalapeno sourdough, reg. sourdough, or plain bun. Chose fries and onion rings for the sides, and everything was very good and tasty. Lots of places do the sides as an afterthought, but this place doesn't have that problem. The burger meat itself looked like hand formed patties, and were very good! Our server was friendly and welcoming, and service was fast and efficient. Place looked like a good place to hang out, plenty of locals, and families were there. Staff was aggressively cleaning the whole time we were there. Large patio out back, but Texas summer kept us in the A/C!

Atmosphere is nice and open with plenty of bar seats as well as communal high tops and standalone tables. Nice outdoor patio when Texas weather permits! Tried a couple of their beers: Miso Smooth (Japanese rice lager - 5.5% ABV) and Soul Fire Ultra Light (American Light Lager - 3.7 ABV / 15 IBU). Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. All-in-all a great impulse decision after The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ line ended up being far too long to wait in!

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.
