    Son of a Bun - S.O.B.

I love Brew & Brew. I usually come here once a week and get my favorite breakfast sandwich, the Johnny Cakes. It's a delicious breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese between two delicious sweet corn cakes. I ask for no cheese and crispy bacon. I also get a latte with my sandwich. My other favorite breakfast sandwich is the Son of a Bun. It's a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, cheese and hash brown in a delicious bun. The service is friendly and fast. They try to get know their customers. It's a quaint little corner spot with indoor and outdoor seating. It's dog friendly too!

Came here on a Saturday morning and it was bustling. Ordered the son of a bun breakfast sandwich (added jalapeños), a matcha, and their grits. Sat at the bar and had great conversations with the bartenders. The matcha was good and the sandwich and grits were great! The sandwich was a good size, I was very full after, and the grits were a delicious and spicy accompaniment. There's a good amount of seating inside and some outside. Would definitely come back for the breakfast sandwich but also want to come back at night for their bar offerings!

Delicious coffee! Unfortunately there was only one worker when we went in so had to wait to order for awhile! And the place had a good amount of tables but only a few had outlets so was a little inconvenient. Overall just based on coffee taste and flavor, place is great!

Solid coffee shop with plant-based options! Service was friendly. Latte was good and the BF sandwich was okay, expensive for the portion IMO. Parking will be difficult and will have to search for street parking.

I really love this spot's vibe. They have a nice indoor set-up and have seats available outside too. I also love the concept of a place selling coffee and beer (brew and brew). It was easy to set up shop and stay for awhile to work on my laptop and scroll my laptop. I even brought my book to read here. The French Toast sticks were delicious! The dough tasted freshly fried, and the syrup was sweet but not over the top. The iced latte was good, but I wish it was sweeter especially with a caramel sweetener. The staff is also very friendly. It was also see them engage with repeat customers. It definitely has neighborhood, hipster vibes.

Nice indoor and outdoor seating in a raised spot to overlook the streets. The coffee cocktails were really good. A lot of beer on draft. Staff were really nice and attentive. I would like to return to try the food.

This was such a funky cool place to grab coffee while in Austin!! I mean that in all the best ways of course. It's a lowkey spot and seemed like it had a great energy about it. I just ordered a lavender vanilla oat milk latte and it was pretty good! It could have been a little sweeter. The service was amazing, I was literally cackling with the adorable guy at the register. His locs were as beautiful as his spirit. We could've talked all day lol. Great service! It didn't take long to get my coffee and I'd definitely return.

Went here for the first time and it was nice. Just got regular drip coffee and it wasn't bad. The sandwich I ordered was tasty. I liked the egg and the bread. French toast sticks in the side were ok. Nothing too fancy. For a quick bite, it's a good little option. They might have some better coffee options than the drip.

My best friend and I walked to Brew and Brew from our hotel and hung out for a couple of hours while we were waiting to check in. We really enjoyed our food, but what really stood out was the service. My best friend and I had some time to kill, so we decided to get a mimosa carafe before heading back to the hotel to get ready for Friday of ACL weekend 2. I saw that they offered frozen lemonade, so I offhandedly made a comment to the bartender like "I wonder if a frozen lemonade with champagne would be good. I mean, you're just swapping out one citrus juice drink for another, right?" I had clearly piqued his interest, so he decided to mix a small amount for himself to try. He thought it was pretty good, and mixed the whole carafe for us! We got to enjoy it on their wraparound porch. Brew and Brew had a nice vibe and was a great place to kick off our stay in ATX. Definitely recommend!

Brew & Brew is a top choice for coffee, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, and even snacks. They also have events and are open all the time. We're lucky to have a spot like this in East Austin!

I know I have walked past this place over 100 times and just a couple weeks ago, for the first time, I truly processed it... so I brought my dog today to do some homework on the patio and I really fuck with this place. I got a rosemary bagel with scallion cream cheese, and a drip coffee, which is a fairly simple order and I was perfectly content with what I received. The cream cheese was like whipped or something, so it was pretty light, but it had a lot of flavor and they definitely provide a sufficient amount for the bagel. The vibe stood out to me the most. My dog and I were on the porch, which was chill and a decent amount of seating. It's shaded, which is nice. I really liked the vibes inside, the place has a lot of personality without being overwhelming. The dude who helped me was also super kind and even tho our interaction was brief, he seemed authentic and genuine. There was a consistent flow of people coming and going throughout our time here, it was lively but not overstimulating. My dog also received hella love--and a treat. Will def be returning

It's a chill spot. I've never been in here when it's been super busy. They have limited menu and the food is good. Service is good.

Found this place on Yelp, and I can confirm it's the closest you'll get in Austin to a NYC style BEC breakfast sammy. Also their house cold brew/oat milk bevy is

Neither of them could finish their entire glass of beer, so I ended up chugging the remaining half of both of theirs. The customer service was so sweet--I was struggling to translate the menu with my mom, and the guy at the front desk was truly helpful throughout. It really raised the experience of this place during what could've been a relatively stressful situation. Dirty Horchata - I was hoping for a stronger horchata taste. It's not bad, so it was worth the shot! Just grateful it wasn't too sweet. My BFF felt the same, as we're both horchata fiends from growing up in Chicago. Cherry Cider - The cider has a tangy taste. The cherry flavor isn't as strong, but it's a fragrant drink. The flavor slowly became sweeter the more I drank it. It grew on me, but it wouldn't be my go-to unless I knew I was munching on something salty that night. Violet Blueberry Blonde - My favorite of the two. This one has a tamer flavor with a nicer floral note. It was exactly what I asked for. I felt like I could've easily chugged a few of these. The guy at the counter definitely chose a great pick. I love the low-key ambiance of this place, the peaceful nighttime atmosphere, the fact that it's wedged into a cozy nook, and how it isn't so LOUD like many bars. Didn't get bit by a mosquito while we hung out there for an hour, so that's a huge plus. They were probably chewing on my friends' legs too intently to consider me, though. Wish I had something like this near my place in Houston. I would regularly hang out here on a weekday, no cap.

Tons of outdoor and patio seating, a few tables indoors in the AC. I ordered the Flapjack, hot, with double espresso in a larger cup, with half sweetness (effectively a large with less services). Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.

We have tried both ways and even when we kept them separate and ate it later it was still just as good.
