It's a somewhat grungy industrial feel hipster kind of vibe and they serve Rosen's bagels which are pretty good. Coffee has a nice acidity not too overpowering but not dull and they serve Matcha which is wonderful for those of us who prefer the green drink. Adequate number of tables for guests and I believe they have Wi-Fi available also. Cool place to hang and I imagine even cooler to hang at night. I was downtown after a meeting and needed to get some work done so i decided to check this place out. Its located right on the corner of east 5th in the thick of things so I would say the biggest downfall right of the bat is parking in this location. However if you're in the area already or can walk here definitely check it out. They have wifi available and a nice selection of coffee drinks as well as on tap and cocktails. I initially ordered a vanilla latte which was quite pleasant but later struck up some conversation with a fellow bar patron and bartender and ended up having a mango margarita that they had on special. The space is quite small and can get a bit noisy at times with everyone talking over one another but there is some seating outside as well. read more

Came here to do some work on a Wednesday afternoon. There were a good number of people hanging out, but plenty of available seating with large tables and ample outlets available. The noise level was perfect, not so quiet that you'd be uncomfortable having a private conversation, but quiet enough that you can get work done. Coffee drink offerings were pretty standard in terms of options and prices. They have a really wide variety of beers available, as with most spots in the area most of them are localish. They could expand a little bit on their food options, especially on their non breakfast items since they seem to lean more towards the happy hour crowd. I went for the cold brew which tasted great- super smooth and didn't need much milk to get a nice creamy taste. Be warned it is super strong, it takes a lot for me to get a caffeine rush from coffee and this really did the trick. Overall I think it's a great place for a date spot, to get some work done, or hit a casual happy hour. I can definitely see myself coming back here in the future read more

A local biz that I've frequented many times over the years. They help to keep Austin weird as they say. Surrounded by many new construction projects is a small coffee and brew joint nestled on the corner - you might pass it if you drive too fast - please don't! I came in recently for breakfast and I was saddened a little as the menu had changed from my last visit. I'm normally chill about this however my wife was excited about the breakfast offerings I described only to realize they trimmed the menu down a bit. I went 4 stars solely due to the reduced menu from the past. I just wish they did more breakfast on the weekend. The coffee is great (FlatTrack) and beer even better I'd say. I find going over to FlatTrack gets me a little more for breakfast vs here although the venue is larger. This isn't a diss but a request to improve is all. Ordered the Turkey Caesar sandwich and could not have been more disappointed. Hands down the worst thing I have eaten since moving to Austin in June. After one bite each, my girlfriend and I threw away our sandwiches and made our own lunch. I legitimately think that the chef took Oscar Meyer turkey, some red peppers and Caesar dressing and put the sandwiches together in 30 seconds. Barely made it here on our last day in East Austin. Dang it! I wish we tried it sooner because we would have been back multiple times. Bagels were awesome. Everyone in our group was happy. I had the avacodo bagel and it was so good! Ok bagels out of the way. I had their single origin espresso and their drip. The espresso was really tasty! But I was even more surprised by their drip. If I remember it was of Guatemala origin. They totally downplayed it. It was so smooth and I don't know if it was an interaction with the flavors of my bagel, but the coffee (with nothing added) had a sweet honey aftertaste. I tried a lot of coffee shops while in Austin and of my favorites Brew & Brew was definitely one that stood out. Would love to go back and try some of their cocktails. This is a really nice coffee place to chill at especially on a nice day out. I like that there are seating outside and the store has an entrance that's like a garage door. I came here with a friend on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the vibe is hippy and modern. I think it's a little too loud to be sitting inside and chat though. My friend and I got a vanilla almond milk latte and a regular soymilk latte. The only milk they have are whole milk, almond milk, and soy milk. They don't charge extra for milk preferences which is awesome! Any espresso and milk items coat the same thing so a cappuccino and a latte cost the same. Parking is available across from the store and it's not a big worry. There is only one bathroom but there are more if you ask them the code to the door. I really enjoyed the place but one big complain I have and where I dock three star is that they weren't very accommodating when we complained about how the vanilla almond latte tasted sour. My friend got the vanilla almond latte and they forgot about the vanilla. I've had lattes with almond milk multiple times before but the one that they made was definitely not how almond milk lattes taste like. The latte tasted sour and there was a sour taste afterwards. We told the barista and she just said that's how almond milk is like, when in fact, I know it's not true. The almond milk they used was definitely sour and they didn't offer to make us a new one or do anything to accommodate. I tipped them too..So this is why tipping beforehand doesn't make any sense. I hate to give a bad rating for this place because I really liked it and the beer selections seem pretty interesting too but my experience was just below average. They also sell sandwiches and other food, including croissants and other pastries from the excellent nearby Easy Tiger (you must make a special trip there though for the ridiculously good giant pretzels). This place is pretty cool. It's a bit smaller than it looks o the outside. It is all street parking, but kind of a mess right now with the construction across the street. Good beer selection.
