    Braga Burger
    Michael P.

Dropped in here for the first time a little while back and wanted to make sure I wrote about my experience- I thought this spot was great. I came for the RI Food Fights big burger blowout and I would certainly come back if I were in the area. The burgers were very good, broke our top 5 for the month (out of about 26 places- don't judge). Got the Braga Burger and the Pickleback (wife got this one so I got to try both). Both were cooked very nicely, were nice and moist- I remember wanting a little more sauce on the pickleback burger but I thought the Braga Burger was perfect. Juicy, good flavor from the chourico and the fried egg with a runny yolk tied it all together. Wish i had one as I write this. We also shared a roasted garlic hummus tray which was a very generous portion of hummus studded with diced roasted garlic. Only recommendation for improvement on this would be to use a more suitable vessel- the slate board is instagram-able but not very practical since you get hummus falling off the sides. The owner of the restaurant was very nice, personable and happy to see us in. It was a pleasure having a meal here. They are a relatively new restaurant with a tough atmosphere to describe. Its casual but not pub-like, nice but not "upscale", it was very comfortable and I think there is a seat for everyone here.

We ordered from here on GrubHub tonight and everything was delicious! The tuna melt on country white bread was huge and came with amazing homemade chips. I had the chopped BLT, also with homemade chips, and it was phenomenal especially for only $6.99. We also tried a baked potato that was a little overcooked, but the garlic knot more than made up for it. I can't believe I've never been here before but so glad I finally did, and I can't wait to visit in person!

1st Stop on the RI Food Fights Wing Challenge. Honestly wings weren't bad! Cooked perfectly, had a great crisp even though tossed in sauce which I love. The burgers lowkey slap, that Braga burger with the Chourico and fried egg was bomb. I would totally come back, juicy cooked to perfection and nice to see a normal burger and not a trendy smash one. The mozz sticks had a great cheese pull. The onion rings were okay and I definitely wouldn't get the nachos again it just seemed off (maybe the cubed chicken?) the fried cheesecake sounds good but was okay. The waitress was super kind and friendly, personable and able to provide suggestions on the menu. Breakfast seems to be the hot commodity here! Lot of cool specials. Also lot of different events each day of the week, one of the popular is wing special on Fridays. Definitely different on the inside not super upscale but not super casual if that makes sense! Definitely a place to give a shot there seems to be something for everyone!

Great place for a generous sandwich for lunch , fresh ingredients. Full bar, in case that's your thing. Friendly, casual atmosphere.

The bartender served everyone but myself, despite eye contact or a friendly wave. Called last call. A polite patron who had been sitting next to me and who had been served went up to the bar tender and said that I hadn't been served yet. He asked if she could serve me. The bartender said "no". I walked up to her, said "no?" she nodded, and I left. I get being busy, but I was selectively ignored while I watched people get served and the clock tick down. Not a good feeling. Not welcoming at all. Apparently, the business is so good they can pick and choose who to serve. Or the bar tender is allergic to money?

She got annoyed that my party was ordering too many drinks, can you believe that? Took out money refused the drinks then kicked us out! Can't wait for this place to shut down or for her to catch what's coming to her; whichever comes first. The security is very corny and embarrassing, they think they are working for the fbi. I get you have a job to do understandable but putting your hands on people when there was no physical altercation is absurd. I could keep going but I'm sure you get the point. Go spend your money elsewhere!

When I walked in, I stood in the waiting area for about 10 minutes waiting to be seated. The restaurant was not busy, and there were two servers sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender who clearly saw me but did not acknowledge or greet me. A simple "Hi, we'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. Eventually, the bartender (a tall young man) approached me without greeting me and started walking upstairs. He then turned around and said, "I forgot a menu," as if it was an afterthought. When we got upstairs, he placed (more like tossed) the menu on a table that still had a dirty cup on it that looked like someone had just been drinking from it. Instead of addressing that, he immediately walked over to another table to check on two guests who were already dining. After finishing with them, he walked right past me without asking if I'd like to start with a drink or acknowledging that I was even seated. There was absolutely no hospitality it felt more like hostility and indifference. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. The food is mediocre at best and definitely not worth overlooking such poor service. Customer service makes or breaks a dining experience, and today it completely broke it for me. I won't be returning and would recommend trying one of the many other restaurants in the area instead.
