Food was okay - mostly burgers and sandwiches (many items scratched out on menu, and no desserts available today, disappointing). I'd give the food a grade of "B" - not wonderful, but acceptable. However, the service was agonizingly slow and the servers were clearly overwhelmed. My friend and I had plenty of time for a long conversation, but we would have been happier being served in a more timely manner. There was a large group who no doubt had made a reservation, so more servers could have been assigned to work today. All in all, I think I'll be looking for another restaurant the next time I'm in Eustis. read more

you started out so good!...that being said...wtf happened? slow service, cold food, slow drink orders. it is no better than the restaurant that was here before. does eustis not deserve at least one halfway decent restaurant? prices here are above average, but the quality is not. great ideas for food items.... creative...but poorly executed. ...one day we will get a good restaurant...until then.... wow...after all the slow service, they asked us to hurry up and finish, they had other customers waiting for our table! poor manners as well! read more

Disappointing. I've eaten several times at the Leesburg location for lunch and dinner. We went for dinner. If I put on my Master Chef hat, I would say 'season' everything. I had Mushroom Chicken it was dry and NO mushrooms. The waitress said they are in the gravy. Finely chopped I guess. Asparagus was over grilled. Spouse had sirloin-which wasn't as tender as he would like and the rice was dry. I saw some people eating Fish and chips and heard a conversation about Fish & Chips. No mention by waitress of any specials. I love a good Old Fashion but at $9 a pop is it a true Wisconsin Old Fashion? I'm afraid to try. The menu in Leesburg had more offerings. read more

I am absolutely speechless at this point. The disrespect from manager and a server was just flooring. Let's start by saying I had called and made a reservation for 35 for this Sunday 5/12/24 for Mother's Day at 2pm. I showed up a bit early so I can make sure tables were ready and to set up a few flowers I had gotten for the mothers. Being I was a little early the server (would not give me her name) told be it would be a few(understandable being I was early. How ever it was then not till 1:55 when I was told the manager would be out to talk to me. 15 minutes go by and most of the party was there when he finally came out. Attitude in hand he was informing us that we could not arrange the front dinning area because it would close down that part for future guest. He stormed off attitude and cursing. They started to clean tables which most was still dirty. Only to inform us that no tables could be moved and we could sit In the other area (bar) which every table was dirty. Well we walked out and went to Eustis market which was more then happy to have 35 people come to there establishment. When we finished there and had to walk back past the brick and barrel the restaurant was empty and manager was out side talking on his phone. So I said to him that it looks like you all are pretty empty and it's pretty bad that you would not accommodate us. I asked for his name and he ignored me. So I walked in and asked a male server what his managers name was only to be smiled at and ignored. So the manager then tells me to leave his restaurant he does not want me there. So I then asked the same server lady who talked to us originally and she said I had to leave they did not want problems at there restaurant on Mother's Day and would not give me the managers name. Mind you the restaurant was empty and the manager was walking around talking on his phone about us cursing. The lack of customer service skills killed me. If I were anyone I would not visit this establishment. I sure enough will never be back. read more

Initial service was pleasant though it was empty. Our waitress was courteous and the food was out quickly. I ordered the burger and my wife had a salad. Presentation was nice but then things get disgustingly bad! About 1/2 of the way through my burger I noticed my hamburger was crawling! Yes, a black bug came crawling out of the hamburger. I immediately found our waitress who physically saw the bug crawling on the bun and meat. Things got worse....we were told that the manager didn't have time to speak with us but would comp my meal. We get our ticket and the meal WAS NOT comped. They only comped 50% of my burger because I had eaten half. I was speechless. While waiting on our change, so we could tip our waitress, a snide and very rude young lady speaking on the managers and the restaurants behalf displayed the worst customer service I have ever experienced very combative and cursing. I advised the only two tables which were seated that we had bugs in one of our meals and the management refused to speak with us! They got up and left promptly. The health department needs to make a trip to this disgusting restaurant and the owner needs to overhaul some of the staff. If you're into bugs in your food and nasty customer service then this is your place. This was a disgusting and disrespectful experience. read more

Stood there and Stood there and was totally ignored. Waitress looked at me .She just kept going. Manager came out to talk to some Lady. He ignored me too. So I just left. There were only 2 tables being served. Wasn't busy at all.Go figure. read more

This restaurant hits every mark. Price point perfect. Cocktails excellent. Bacon and onion dip appetizer, great warm up. My wife and I each had specials: fish & chips and steak salad. Fish and chips came with coleslaw and homemade tartar (excellent). I am very picky about slaw, usually finding it under seasoned. This was perfect. The fish was properly breaded and cooked. We had a 6 o'clock reservation for six adults and the restaurant could not find it. This shouldn't have made a difference because they weren't busy at that time but it still took 15 minutes to get seated. Our server was extremely nice and helpful, however the kitchen and bar staff made her job extremely difficult as it took a very long time to get served. Our drinks came out at all different times, and our food came out at three different stages with one meal, the salmon, undercooked. The food was OK but was over priced for what we received. Additionally the restaurant is extremely noisy which made it difficult to have a conversation. read more

What a great experience. We are new to Eustis and stumbled across this downtown jewel. Our food was incredible, the ambiance was good, and the service was awesome. They have a great menu that caters to almost any taste. We will be returning soon. read more

Food is delicious! Highly recommend the salmon, Mahi Mahi, steak, and Brussel sprouts! Love the atmosphere and can't wait to go back.

This was our first visit and we plan to return because there were some great parts to our experience. The flavor of the food was fantastic. Unfortunately everything arrived at our table cold. So glad we finally had a chance to go here on a Thursday night. They recently opened their Eustis location and it was awesome! We ordered the Kettle Chips as the appetizer, which was so delicious! Very crisp, fresh, chips, drizzled in delicious queso blanco, blue cheese crumbles and balsamic glaze. Then, we split the Prime Rib sandwich, which was so hot, fresh, juicy & delicious! The perfect balance of meat, caramelized onions and cheese. We opted to upgrade to their sidewinder fries that were very interestingly cut like petals, and very yummy! We also enjoyed a few drinks: Red Berry Riot, Negroni and the B & B Cosmopolitan, all perfectly crafted by our attentive bartender, Raven. We will definitely be back soon! read more

If you're caught in an exercise of progressive disappointment, at what point do you just say, "I'm done with this; we're out of here?" There were eight of us in a group with reservation for early Sunday evening which turned out to be unnecessary as the place was nearly empty. In another world, that might have meant exceedingly competent service and quality dishes. Instead there was stunning incompetence in both realms that extended from beginning (signature dishes not available, confused orders and positively the tiniest Vodka and Tonic ever served) to middle (more than one food order returned for very poor quality) to end (bill confusions leading to actual exasperated surrender to an overcharge!). It was a bad experience that we will be talking about for a long time. The failure is grounded in poor management. Once this place dries up, find out where the managers/owners are going next and avoid them. In the meantime, Find Another Place. (p.s., One of our members said the best thing about Brick & Barrel is its proximity to the Ice Cream shop across the street.) read more

This is a new spot to Downtown Eustis and I had heard good things. The menu was chalk full of overpriced and self indulgent items. The service was atrocious, I waited about 10 minutes to be sat when there were a couple of open tables and plenty that could have been bussed and wiped clean. A couple of ladies walked in and sat themselves at the booth that I had had my eye on. One of the ladies handed me a menu and told me to seat myself because they always take too long to seat people. With this insider tip, I sat down at one of the clean tables and perused the menu. I flagged down a member of the wait staff to tell them what had happened and she said that my waitress would be right with me. It took another 10 minutes just to get the drinks ordered. They say that it is bottled Fiji water but it tasted no different than City of Eustis unfiltered tap water. I drank my water fast and did not get a refill for another 15 minutes after I ordered the food. After ordering, I got ignored by some of the waitstaff when trying to ask for another refill of water. I wish I could tell you that the food made up for everything, but after waiting for so long for a plate of Brussels Sprouts as our appetizer, my fiancée and I decided to just try tu go elsewhere.
