Food exceeded expectations. Great place to grab a meal after camping for a few days. The fish and chips did not disappoint! Only half portion of fish and chips shown in photo because our server was so sweet to split the single portion between my bf and I bc we were sharing that and a salad. And the salad was a meal in itself! So flavorful and filling. Our server was running the show and seemed to be the only one on duty with plenty of tables to keep her busy! Used to love this place but stopped going because of theur refusal to follow health department guidelines during COVID. Decided to give it another go today. Ordered ahead and walk in to pick up. I'm standing at register when the phone rings. The cashier ignores me to answer phone and take the order. I have a short lunch, so find that irritating, but stay. He then starts to assist me, only to be interrupted by someone walking in the door with the wrong pizza. Turns out they gave my pizza to someone else. Ok, shit happens. But instead of apologizing, dude says to me "I have your pizza". Uhhhh, are you kidding me? "That went out the door with someone else. No way I want that fucking shit." This place was surprisingly incredible. A few friends and I drove up from the Bay Area to hit the last few remaining Apple Hill ranches that were open, and we needed to pick a spot to eat for dinner. One of my friends chose this place, which my other friend and I agreed on. I am the type of person that likes having more control over where to eat, but this time I just thought I should concede with an open mind. I had no expectations and thought the food would be just good enough to eat. I sure was wrong. I was absolutely blown away by the pizza and ranch. We ordered a large cheese pizza, which my favorite style of pizza because it is so simple and can't be messed up. Just from first glance, I was surprised at how delicious the pizza looked before even taking a slice. It had those burnt cheese bubbles, which are the absolutely the best part of some pizzas, and also just gave off an impression of freshness; fresh cheese and herbs. For me personally though, a pizza cannot be perfected without a delicious ranch to complement it. The ranch here checks all the boxes...made in house, dilly, and creamy. The ambiance definitely gave off a nice sports pub atmosphere with plenty of TVs. The service was very quick, attentive, and welcoming. It's always nice when the staff serving show their personality and some humor. When we asked to split our bill, one of the guys serving us sarcastically was like: "ughhh really?" which we all thought was hilarious because we knew he wasn't being serious. This place is so good! They make most everything fresh in house including their salad dressing and it's delicious. I tried their vegetarian but burger, it was a tad dry but with a little bit of their ranch it was perfect. It's nice being able to have something other than a regular veggie burger. My husband ordered a regular meat burger and he loves it too. We shared the onion rings and garlic fries and they were both the best I've ever had. The servers were super friendly and very attentive. This place is great for so many reasons but mainly the amazing food. For our first time trying this restaurant my husband got a bacon burger and fries and I ordered a BLTA with a side caesar. The portions of everything were huge and everything was delicious. I was surprised that even my side salad was amazing. They also have a cute pub vibe inside with taps all around the room. My husband ordered a beer that he loved, so we would come back for drinks and apps as well as for meals. Lastly, they were super busy when my family came in and had only one waitress at the time. While she was obviously extremely busy, she still got our order and checked on us fairly quickly and even brought my daughter some toys to play with at the table. Love this place. It's my favorite place to go to locally. The beer selection is great. The food is amazing. Never had a bad meal here. Taco Thursdays are a must. My wife and I try to make it every Thursday for the taco special. Which changes weekly. Every version of tacos they come up with are really good. The new owners are super nice too, it's a great vibe and atmosphere. Chris the server is the bomb too. We always get the very best service here. Can't say enough good things about this place. Being a hot pepper junky & somewhat of snob. I had to try it. I was impressed. One thing that wrecks a good burger is crappy over heat from cheap pepper extracts. Not here. Second time here... the corn chowder was not corn chowder. It had ham, potatoes, green peppers, red pepper a little corn in a dark brown sauce. It was closer to a leftover stew. I do not recommend the chowder. I went home feeling very sick from it. It was a Sunday, very slow and we felt rushed from the moment we walked in. Like we were not leaving fast enough. My friend recommended this place for us to grab some food and beers. I had never been and when I arrived I wasn't expecting much. The sign was simple and the entry was unassuming. Boy was I wrong!! I met my friend at the bar at the back of the pub. Before sitting I saw about 30 tap handles and a packed bar with people chatting with one another. The owner Cliff greeted me and introduced himself, a great start in my opinion. His knowledge of the beers and welcoming demeanor lead me to enjoying a couple delicious beers that'd I'd never had. The food was even better if that's possible! Cliff gave us some recommendations and explained that almost everything was made in house. While we sat we started taking to some locals that were extremely friendly and welcoming. I didn't want to leave! I have shared my experience with multiple people and will most definitely be back as soon as possible. If you're in the area this place is a must. Simple, friendly, and delicious.
