I tried both sandwiches, but can definitely say the Cubano is where it's at. It's so flavorful and the sauce that is served with it was delicious. I also made a last minute decision to get the mango batido and it was so yummy! Perfect for a hot summer day. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We were in Miami for the night before boarding a cruise the next day. With limited time, I knew I needed a proper Cuban sandwich and croquettas. We took an uber across town to Sanguich in Coral Gables for dinner and it was well worth the trip. For a sandwich, we had the Media Noche which is your classic cuban on a sweeter bread. We split the sandwich, but also ordered boniato fries, and two orders of ham croquettes. Plus I ordered a cafe con leche... which was excellent and came in the cutest cup/saucer combo that was intentionally off center. We tried the original cubano and the croquetta preparada for lunch - we liked this croquetta preparada so much, we got another one for dinner. This shop is small, but constantly busy. Try to come in before the lunch rush around 11 am if you plan to sit and dine in the restaurant. They also have a location in Bayside marketplace, which is even smaller. Their side sauce is a garlicky sauce which was tasty. They have batidos (milkshakes) with unique flavors. The timba flavor is a guava and cheese shake that encompasses the flavor of a typical guava and cheese empanada/roll. The trigo is a cereal-milk type milkshake that has the taste of the UK cereal Weetabix - it is slightly nutty and oaty and not too sweet. Tons of spots in Hialeah will give you much more food for much less cost , but it was ok for a coral gables stop. Wow wow wow. We had heard great things of Sanguich, and I'm so happy we finally tried it. To start off, we had their fries, which come accompanied by two sauces (a cilantro and garlic sauce), crispy, and the right amount of salt - perfection. We also tried the Cubano and Pan con bistec. The ingredients are so fresh, the little potatoes inside the pan con pistes were crunchy, adding the perfect texture alongside the sous vide steak. The sandwiches did not feel heavy at all, which is rare for loaded sandwiches such as these. After the manager at the original Calle Ocho (Little Havana) location encouraged everyone lined up outside to drive just a few miles south to their other location in Coral Gables--we did. There is no parking lot adjacent to this Cuban-American sandwich shop here either, so we valet parked on the opposite side and enjoyed a short walk over. The ambiance is relaxing and good for groups with outside seating as well. The decor is lux--even in their restrooms! As far as the service, even though they got our order wrong, it was pleasant and overall good. We ordered both Cuban and Media Noche sandwiches (the only difference is the bread), and Pan con Lechón (pulled pork sandwich). In addition, we ordered ham croquetas as a side and because I have always loved to include them in my Medianoche, and Boniato fries (not to be confused with sweet potato fries because they differ in color, consistency and taste). We also added a mango milkshake and a mamey milkshake, plus a traditional Iron Beer (nonalcoholic) for me! In full disclosure, being a part of this amazing community has allowed me to expand and refine my taste, so I personally didn't find the authentic flavors that I expected. My preferred menu item was the croquetas which are made with Béchamel sauce--my favorite! There was a line for patrons waiting to be seated but it moved quickly. There is a walk up window for takeout orders. The barista is extremely pleasant, patient and very helpful when you are placing your order. The turnaround time is about 10-15 min on this day to obtain my food. I ordered a Cubano and chicharrones which were very fresh hot out the grease. The sandwich was good but made slightly different than the Cuban sandwiches I have had at other Cuban restaurants but still quite tasty. It was full of meat and cheese on soft bread. I tasted the skins and almost finished the entire bag before I reached home (approx. 3 miles away). If I don't come back for anything else it will be the pork skins (chicharrones). This is the best place in Miami to experience a great Cuban Sandwich! I used to go to the original location on Calle Ocho in Little Havana, but this location is where I'll keep coming back to. There's plenty of paid street parking on Ponce de Leon, and it's close enough to Miracle Mile that you can walk around after your meal. But, what's really great here are the sandwiches! At this point, I've tasted the Cubano, the Pan con Bistec, the Pan con Lechon, and the Medianoche. I still have a few more to try, but let me tell you about each of the ones I've had. I will also give you my impression of each of the hot sauces, including the two that I now always have in my pantry. The Cubano Sanguich is the first one you should try if you're OK with eating pork. This is not only the most picture-perfect Cuban sandwich in Miami, but also the best tasting. It starts off with the bread, which is traditional Cuban bread that has been brushed with MANTECA and flattened out and pressed to crispy perfection. As is traditional, this Cubano includes both ham and roasted pork. I love the contrast between the cured pork (ham) and the fresh pork (roasted pork). The roasted pork is garlic and citrus infused. The cheese is Swiss. Yes, there's a pickle and it cuts perfectly through the fat. They have a dressing on the sandwich that's garlicky and has a hint of mustard, as is traditional with this type of sandwich. This is the new gold standard in Cubano sandwiches in Miami. The Pan con Bistec (steak sandwich) is the sandwich I get when I'm not in the mood for pork. They use the same great Cuban bread, which is reason enough to come here. The steak is so thinly sliced that it's not tough like many other Pan con Bistec sandwiches that I've had in Miami. If you look closely at one of the pictures I've included, you'll notice the super-thin fried potato sticks that provide a great crunchy texture contrast. French-style potato sticks are a traditional ingredient in the Cuban Pan con Bistec, but these are slightly different and I enjoyed it. The spread is slightly tangy and garlicky, not spicy at all. Get this sandwich if you want to change it up, or just don't want pork. The Pan con Lechon is an adventure! This sandwich is focused on maximizing the garlicky roasted Pork experience. It's delicious! Same bread as the Cubano and the Pan con Bistec. After the Cubano, the Medianoche is my favorite Sanguich. I am at a point where this is the sanguich I get if I'm going to eat in my car or take it to go. Let me explain. The bread in this sandwich is a sweet egg bread that's similar to Jewish egg bread. After they press it and crisp it up, it totally flattens and creates a crunch without cracking and minimizes the crumbs that fall off. This is still a sandwich that should be eaten warm or warmed up, but on the go, it's hard to beat. It also works great the day after, as long as you warm it up in an air fryer, pan, or oven. I have also had all of the hot sauces and can briefly describe them. The Pa'La Piña sauce is a pineapple habanero sauce that's only medium spicy and really too thick to enjoy. It's almost like a thinned out pineapple preserve with habanero. The Havana Green is a Jalapeño sauce that's too similar to the green hot sauces you can get at a supermarket for half the price. I would skip this one. The two standout Sanguich Hot Sauces are the Guava Brava and the Ajo Ardiente. I typically have at least one bottle of each of these sauces at home. You can (and should) ask them to bring over to your table one of each of the sauces to try them on your food. If you're only in town for a few days, buy a bottle of each of these to take home and enjoy. They're unique enough to impress the people back home who didn't get to come to Miami with you this time! This is a beautiful sandwich shop that's even great for an early dinner. They close at 9PM, so I always keep that in mind. read more

We also had the rosalita iced coffee which albeit delicious it put you on a different planet. I was so caffeinated after i could land a spaceship with my eyes closed. Nothing but amazing things to say about this place! The spot is pretty and there's seating inside and out, the staff were friendly and attentive and their sanguiches were freaking delicious!!! I only tied a couple Cuban sandwiches in Miami but by far Sanguich had the best. The bread was perfectly toasted, meats tender and delicious and cheese perfectly melty. Overall you would think because of the ingredients that it would be a salty sandwich but it was not and was perfectly seasoned. Besides the Cubano we had the Lechon sandwich which had tasty shredded pork and delicious pickled red onions. The cortaditos were made perfectly.
