The quality and taste of the food is what saved this spot! The parking situation SUCKS. As a first timer I had absolutely no clue how to navigate the line to order my food. There was no sign or arrows to direct guest (i was not the only first time guest) on where to order. One customer told me she was there for more than 40 minutes and no one told her that she had to go up to a small 3 x 3 box in the wall and order her food BEFORE shifting over to the grand window where you make your payment and confirm your food order. Once we figured out that process together It was still a pretty long wait for the food to be served (Togo). Please please order yourself a banana pudding, red velvety cake slice AND. A strawberry crunch cake slice. do yourself the favor. The desserts were PHENOMENAL. I ordered a rib dinner which was pretty tasty. If you like smoked oxtails this is the spot forsure. They are definitely big, meaty and flavorful. Everything I've tried here is good from the smoked chicken, ribs to the sausage which is probably my favorite. You definitely have to try his tomahawk steak. It has that smoked flavor and is tender and juicy. So far as the sides are concerned they are just ok. They sell sliced and whole cakes. They taste pretty good. Parking here is limited and it is takeout only. Greedy is a cool guy to talk to. You could chat with him whole he's on the grill. Definitely go check this place out. read more

I have been hearing about Greedy Lee's for a while and finally decided to try it out a few weeks ago. It's located on Osbourne and 42nd and you may need to find parking. I came at a good time because the lunch crowd already been through. I ordered the 2 meat combo which was ribs, chicken, baked beans and potato salad. Everything was plentiful and good. I couldn't eat everything and I had to finish the next door. I know Saturday is a very busy day there because tomahawk steaks and oxtails are served. I also got the banana pudding with bananas. Listen!!! This place is fire! It looks like a little hole in the wall and there's no seating in the inside, but you come here for the food not the ambiance. They have a tomahawk steak dinner for $49.99. They have ribs, chicken, links and all the things you expect from a BBQ joint but what is special and unexpected are the Greedy Tails! These are oxtails cooked on the grill and they are absolutely delicious!!! Seasoned to perfection and they give you a good portion! I highly recommend!!!! And it was only $25.99 for the oxtail dinner which is great! The macaroni and cheese was solid, green beans extremely well flavored but a tad salty. I loved the potatoe salad... perfect. We got there early -- actually before they even opened -- and the line was already super long. The place is small and they move a little slower, but it's 100% worth the wait. I got the two meat platter with ribs and chicken, both seasoned really well. They had a honey mustard sauce and a barbecue sauce -- both were really good. There is not a set place for parking so I parked on the side of the road. The restaurant itself seems to be an order and pickup your food- not sit down and dine. Food is ordered through a small window . I planned to order the chicken and ribs but there would be a wait for chicken so I ordered the rib dinner. The employee who took the order and the employee who provided the order were very pleasant. I ordered macaroni and cheese and baked beans for the my sides. The macaroni and cheese did not have much taste but the baked beans were good. The ribs were delicious and well seasoned. I ordered a slice of 7 up pound cake which generously sliced, delicious and moist. The prices for everything were reasonable. This was my first visit to the barbecue joint. I heard so much hype about it that I paid to visit. My wife and I the meat was not smoky. The reels was boil and I'm thinking the chicken was boiled, but put it on the grill for a little smoke. The sauce taste good. The service was good. I came on all different times and different days, still no luck. Today I came after 2pm and there was only sausage and only potato salad, rice, and green beans.
