I've heard a lot about Broiler on TikTok lately so I'm glad I got to visit while in this area last week. It was easy to locate from the street and there was dedicated parking in the back of the restaurant. It was around lunch time so they had a constant flow of customers in and out. Many customers waiting had been before and had great things to say about the food. I ordered the Deluxe steak and cheese with fries. The sub was so good. It was well seasoned and the buttered bread was a nice touch. The fries were good too-nice and crispy. I would definitely return. I love a good steak and cheese and this did not disappoint. The customer service was great and service was quick.

Service was good and fast. But the steak and cheese not good at all sadly! It didn't have any flavor not an ounce besides the hot peppers which they put so much it was just hot that's it. I got the spicy American with lettuce and tomato Eh

So this spot has been around for 50 plus years in Arlington Virginia. Know for their massive STAMPED Steak n Cheese's (that's we call them in the D.C. area), they have FINALLY came across the bridge to Maryland. I'm had to GET THERE!! . Where I am: @thebroilerdmv . Location Reviewed: 9021 Woodyard Rd., Clinton M.D. . Menu Includes: Subs, Breakfast Subs, Cold Cut, Chicken, & Steak Subs, Burgers, Fries, Pizza, & Beverages!! . Items Reviewed: Their Traditional Steak n Cheese (A 12 inch large sub with provolone, green peppers, & onions $15.90). STAMP!! They don't miss!! Meaty, cheesy DELICIOUSNESS!! Their Chicken Steak n Cheese (A 6 inch sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, & mayo $7.95). LIKE THAT!! Surprisingly tasty, nothing special on here, but GET IT!! Their Crinkle Cut Fries (with ketchup $3.95). DELICIOUS. Crispy...good. Their Square Pizza (with sausage, pepperoni, parmesan dust, & hot flakes $15.95). LIKE THAT!! Better than most square pizza spots in the area, with quality ingredients. . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: Decent . Recommendations: The Steak n Cheese & the drink. . Customer service was excellent. Ordered pick up and the food was ready on time. Pizza looks and smells amazing, not really a fan of the crust. It gave me pie crust vibes. I did add turkey pepperoni at home. Would I order the pizza again for myself, no. The steak and cheese had excellent flavor. It does get soggy quick. I suggest eating the sandwiches there for the freshness value. I can say I would stop again for the steak and cheese.

This sub is from The Broiler in Clinton, Maryland. It's supposed to be a 12-inch Deluxe with no green pepper, no lettuce, no tomato, double American cheese, and light mayonnaise. However, I couldn't eat it due to my digestive allergy to green peppers. The cheese is provolone with extra heavy mayonnaise. You tell me what you think. A TikTok reviewer, who tries steak and cheese subs in the DMV area, recommended it. Since I didn't want to go back to Clinton for a refund, part of the sub will go to my dogs, and the rest isn't worth salvaging. The second is a 12-inch sub from The Broiler in Clinton, Maryland, is supposed to have double meat ($5) light mayonnaise, double cheese, and double onion, but it tastes like a Steakum lacking salt. Both of these Subs were 50 dollars.

Updated Review: originally had given the Clinton location 3 stars but what I had today dropped it to one. I ordered the deluxe and had one delicious bite, before feeling something hard in the next bite. Upon spitting it out I noticed one of the ties that you typically use on bread was stuck right in the middle of the sub. Take a look at the picture. Absolutely disgusting and makes me wonder how much they care about the quality of their food and safety of their customers. Yall can keep on going, but I don't plan on visiting this location anymore unless there are changes in the future. A disappointment to say the least 3 stars for three main reasons. 1. The deluxe s&c is good, but could use a bit more seasoning 2. Each time I get a sub there is an extremely fatty piece where the fat hasn't been rendered and is extremely chewy. They should either cut the steak into smaller pieces or render those pieces down more 3. While the provolone is good, the American cheese they use is yellow american. They should switch to white American because the flavor is more subtle and it would ruin their subs including the deluxed or others. If all these were resolved I could safely rate this location a 5.

The Breakfast Steak and Cheese SUB was great! It's hard to find a location in my area that has a really good steak and cheese, imo. We were planning to eat in a different restaurant that closed early unbeknownst to us. We weren't in the mood for sandwiches but it was getting late and not many restaurants were still open. After checking Yelp for other options, we decided to give this place a try. I am not disappointed. While this place is not very close to home, I'll travel here anytime I want to have a real steak and cheese. It was clear to see that it was made from very tender and delicious ribeye steak. They did not disappoint on the size of the portions either. It was prepared as requested and I could only eat one half of a 6-in sub. Even the fries were good. The service was wonderful. They were very nice and accommodating considering we arrived 30 minutes before they closed. To be kind since we arrived so late, we asked if they were okay with us eating in and they said, Of course! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a real steak and cheese, great service in a clean environment.

GREAT addition to the Clinton, MD area. We were fans of the last restaurant in this same location, but we are not mad at this new establishment in the least! My husband has already been here several times. (I do cook y'all ... he's just a huge fan of steak n cheese subs.) I enjoyed the chicken cheese steak (just ate the filling as I'm working on trying to eat less carbs). As you can tell from all of the pics posted in my review and others, the quality of their food is quite consistent! #BraggingRights for them. My only complaint would be the darn traffic trying to get into their lot. At the end of the day ... it's worth the hassle. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

First, let me say I like this place. However, I've only done carryout. It's always clean and homesome. One night I stumbled upon a book club meeting in the restaurant. Local poets/writers were sharing their work which was quite impressive. The food is consistently decent and seemingly fresh. I particularly like the catfish and greens. And now it's the greens that I want to address. You get a very small portion as a side dish. I think it's $8. At least twice I've witnessed the person preparing the greens to-go realize they needed to put more greens and less juice. Well today topped any other day as far as the portion of greens I received with my dinner. In the attached pics, it's a large piece of skin that came out of the small container of greens and a picture of what was left once it was removed. That's it. That's the review. Smh

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with the food quality. The chicken wingettes were burnt, and the crab hash was overwhelmingly covered in Old Bay seasoning. Had I not been rushing, already home and between meetings, I would have returned the entire order.

First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

He was pleasant and didn't do much talking because he was working. They have canned soft drinks, from a dispenser lemonade, sweet tea and are happy to make it a half and half. I got sweet tea and it had a weird taste. This made me think that it's from a mix and not brewed. I didn't event drink it all because the taste was off-putting. I went with the turkey wings, collard greens and sweet potatoes. Thank goodness the sweet potatoes weren't overly sweetened. The turkey wings weren't as tender as mine and needed some attention to detail to remove the small remnants of feathers. The greens had to much stalk and were not from a can. Seasoning on the food was to my liking, but not overdone. My friend had a taste for fish and went with the 2 piece catfish combo. Inside you feel like you are at your Italian grandmother's home with old photos and old world decor thank you so much Giselle Y'all need to come in and have some of the best pizza there is...

there were employees at the front who sat me right away, he asked me for my preference, booth or…read moretable. my waiter took a while to come after I was seated. the table next to me was seated after me, but their waiter came before mine. my waiter was very kind tho and he initially came to my table with extra plates and plenty of napkins. he did forget something and I had to ask again for it. he did not check on me often when I needed my water refilled, but I did notice him busy attending to multiple tables. he was considerate with helping me with boxing my remaining to go food and asking if I needed additional untensils. I asked for a side of ranch and it wasn't an additional charge and gave me a large cup portion. food came out at a reasonable time, dessert came out quick. drinks took a while to come out. they do serve alcohol and specialty drinks. there is a visual bar area but not a bar seating area. good pricing for the size and delicious. there's plenty of seating inside. they have their own free with plenty of parking lot. there are multiple stalls bathrooms available and it was clean.
