OMG! So I have tried eyebrow tinting before... about 3 years ago but couldn't remember the results which means it wasn't impressive. I found Sandra on here and Instagram @thebrowtherapist and saw the amazing pictures! So I had to go. Making an appointment was easy and if you check in on yelp you get an extra $5 off the eyebrow shaping. I did both shaping and tinting ($32 reg)and the results were amazing! So I'm new to California, and I needed somewhere to get my eyebrows done. My friend Brenda gets her eyebrows done here so I decide to come because I love the way her eyebrows look. I scheduled an eyebrow appointment 4 days in advance. The person who does the eyebrows calls to reschedule for today at 6pm, it was originally for tomorrow at 12:15pm to be honest i don't kNow what city this is. I called and Uber pool because they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for a regular cab. I let her know I would be there late because of the pool. And traffic, while I'm in route She states that she has other clients and to reschedule. I live downtown Los Angeles. I'm now in Burbank. So I wasted money to make it to an appointment that was rescheduled to accommodate her. I am very angry this was money and time wasted. If you want to get your eyebrows done I would not suggest going to her, she may just reschedule your appointment to accommodate her, and then not have time for you at all.. read more

Sandra was friendly and professional. So 5 stars for that. My eyebrow shaping, on the other hand, negative stars. I literally cried when I got home and saw what happened to my eyebrows. I told her that I had grown my eyebrows out for many months (a very long and painful process) and did not like thin brows. However, she overly shaped, overly plucked, overly cut and overly arched them, making my already long face look longer and very harsh. My eyebrows are at their all time thinnest, and I'm dreading having to go more months growing them out again. If you're looking for more natural & fuller brows, and someone who knows more about eyebrows that match certain face shapes, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. When I reached back out to her to let her know that I was really upset about my brows, she offered free brow fill-in lessons, which I opted to pass on. It was a nice gesture, but it won't make my brows grow faster so I'll go back to crying now :( read more

I've been coming to see Sandra once a month since December. Originally I had been getting my brows threaded for over 3 years and my sister pointed out they were getting thinner and thinner and that one was starting to look higher than the other and said I should go somewhere new. I thought I'd try waxing again even though my first wax experience ever (back in hs) was pretty traumatizing. I found Sandra via Yelp and found her Instagram and saw that she kept the brows thicker and not too thin. Since my brows grow pretty fast I figured no harm in trying her out since mine literally grow out in one month. I told her my concerns about how they had been shaped before and how one side was higher than the other. She recommended that she should shape my brows differently than how they naturally grow in because they are too harsh for my rounder face shape. But I went against this recommendation because you always read that the best way to have them shaped is how they naturally grow in. The more and more I looked at them after they were done the more I realized she was right. So I learned the hard way that the general rule to "shape them the way they naturally grow" isn't reliable. So now I let her shape them to look softer. I always feel more like a grown up and like I have my shizz together when I have freshly cleaned up brows. I wish my brows would slow down in the growth department though. Let up on me for one month at least? She will fill in your brows for you after she's done but I just have her apply brow wax to tame my crazy little suckers because they're full enough already. Plus I normally only go study after I see her and me with fully done brows looks a bit overdone especially since I tend to not wear makeup on weekends. Just a personal preference. I really love how I can schedule to see her online or after my appointment. I hate calling and texting places to confirm appointments because I'm soooooo lazy LOL Overall I love coming to see Sandra because she's always so nice and friendly. I've never been burned by the wax which was my biggest concern and my eyebrows always look good now. read more

I went in to get an eyebrow tint and would NOT go back. I asked early on to keep my eyebrows looking light and natural. Instead of using a lighter color she used a dark one and took half of it off. It completely messed up the shape and I had patches where the tint was missing in my eyebrows. It was supposed to last 5-7 days and was gone the next day. Also on the phone Sandra said she would honor the $5 mentioned in yelp reviews but when in her salon she said no. Even after the awkwardly bad service she went back on the price! Also her information about location isn't current so I had to wander around trying to find this place. IT WAS SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE that I just wanted to get out of there and didn't care what my brows looked like! read more

Sandra was really nice! She took me in as a walk in. I get my hair cut at a barber in the same location and was looking for some quick easy brow clean up and she did a good job. As a guy it can be scary getting your brows waxed as I personally don't want them to look to shaped or feminine, just cleaned up. Sandra did exactly that, a great clean up.
