Terrible service in my opinion. Server was very unattentive. When after several issues I asked again for more coffee she stated rudely and with a mean looking expression that she had it just give me a second with her hand and palm to me. I was not having it. The manager said after complaining thank you for letting her know all the while the server denied telling me I dont care what you think which my wife and grandaughter and friend all affirm she said. I emphatically asked for check and server said why would I wait on you now. When I finally went and tried to pay another server the woman said I was rude to servers but was never even being a part of the original conversation. Never going back. keeping in mind that this is the first negative experience I've had here, it's a doozie. We walk in and a server screams something from across the restaurant (sitting in the booth with customers not wearing her mask over her face.) I didn't even realize that she was an employee and disregarded it. she yells again, with an annoyed tone "I said sit anywhere". I looked over to my friend like "wow, ok". we pick a table and have a seat. No one comes by for several minutes and then a different server brings us two menus and just walks away without a drink order or anything. we sit there and watch them take the orders of two other tables that came in after us, one had there order taken while they were still trying to sit down. the blonde server ( that yelled at us previously from across the dining room), finally comes by and asks "what are you having, sorry we're short staffed". (there were three servers which is the most I've ever seen working at one time, maybe a bus boy). I replied with " oh I just thought we were invisible today". then I started ordering (we still didn't even have a drink order in). she stops me mid order and says "hold on", walks over to the server who dropped the menus and disappeared, and whispered something to her while looking at directly at us. then she just walks behind the server station and blatantly ignored us. the other server was actually busy with her tables. the blonde was busy flirting with her table (from the booth at the beginning of the story). at this point I was done being disrespected and ignored so we got up, informed both waitresses that we were leaving due to the blonde waitress being rude. I then tried to directly message the owner/manager to let them know what happened to us. all I got was excuses and a thank you for letting me know. no apology, no making this right, nothing. I'm upset, because I love this restaurant and have been taking my adopted little brother here for YEARS, when he's staying with me, and have never seen anything like this here. I will not be back here again. time for new traditions. read more

Now before I arrived to this place, I was heading to PDQ to be honest. Then something told me, try this place out. When you're looking at it, nothing stands out and it's an older building. Probably been their 40+ years. Just before I arrived 10min before 3pm, Guess what; it was fried catfish Friday(All you can eat). It's from 3-8pm. The fried catfish is so worth it. Now, you wanna get their before 3:15 or so. After 3:30, its get pack before 4pm. Its older crowd that's comes in. Now I order fried fish thinking I will order seconds or thirds. I was full after the first basket. They pieces of fish are huge. But I couldn't force myself to eat anymore really. Now, not sure about the other things on the menu. I really didnt even give it try. Went on lunch today (4:30ish) and was met with a full dining room. Was hoping for breakfast, but they stop serving breakfast at 2 :( ordered the fried steak, which was okay. Loaded with gravy. Mashed potatoes were skin on, somewhat bland. The green beans were obviously from a can, and cold to boot. The roll was from a bag, and also cold. My husband ordered the chicken "basket" and received a generous helping of fries, and only 3 small pieces of chicken. Service was pleasant, sweet tea was awesome although the coffee was a little watered down. Not sure if we'll be back due the odd hours and not much home made food. read more

This is my second review. We stopped here for breakfast one weekend day (eaten breakfast several times now) and have since been a regular for Friday all you can eat fish. Biscuits and gravy are to die for. Wife loves the fried green tomatoes and the fish. Ive had the chicken fried steak, meat loaf and various other meals because I do not eat fish. Each meal I have here is better the last. Ive had the soups and the salads. Service is wonderful and we seem to get the only male server they have each time we come. Down home greasy spoon is the best way to put this. They have fresh homemade cooking. The decor is outdated the tables and chairs do not blend, but the food outspeaks the appearance. My fiancé and I went inside today, a waitress quickly took our drink orders and told another waitress that I brought Burger King breakfast into the restaurant . I am aware that every restaurant has their own rules and regulations but I had a small bag from Burger King because I'm pregnant and brunch box didn't have French toast sticks so I got Burger King drive thru and my fiancé wanted brunch bunch to dine in at. THEY ACTED LIKE WE WERE ONLY EATING BURGER KING AT THEIR PLACE AND NOT PAYING FOR THEIR FOOD . Another waitress comes up to me and states that I wasn't allowed to bring food , I told her I was pregnant and I needed to eat ASAP because I just finished throwing up at the parking lot (pregnancy morning sickness) and that I did not know that rule because it wasn't on a sign or anything ?! We the customers can't know the rules unless we were told PRIOR. That same waitress then said the beer analogy walked away . So a different waitress took our order and she was sweet but brunch box messed up this morning . Today is Oct. 22 and they JUST posted this on their door . They were really good when they opened. However in the last few months has gone downhill. The last 2 times I have heard the cook cussing and yelling. My daughters french toast looked like it was covered in grease. Makes you wonder when the last time they cleaned the grill was. They thinned down the pancake syrup with corn syrup which makes it taste really GROSS. And the Tabasco sauce was filled with another hot sauce. I use it at home daily and it was so hot I could not eat my food. I told the cashier and she did not care. still made me pay the whole bill even though she saw that we were unable to eat more than half of it. They did not even offer to remake it. Needless to say this place has gone downhill and we gave it 3 tries and all 3 were no better. This place is GROSS. read more

This place is a JOKE! An old Pizza Hut building that's disgusting. The service is terrible, definitely a cheap place to eat if you want more grease than food. Our receipt was even full of grease. Hope to try lunch there one of these days, but for now, can only comment on breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak omlet, yea, that was a new one for me and amazing! My old man got the skillet anx cleaned his plate! My mom and her friend visited the Brunch Box today, and they really enjoyed their experience. Mom said the service was GREAT, and they both enjoyed their lunch very much. They felt very welcome by staff, and Mom's salad plate (tuna salad and chicken) was super and they will be doing back again. My mom told me on the phone tonight (I live in California) that WE will be eating at the lunch Box when I visit her next trip, and she was in the midst of telling some friends about it. Today our food was cold, we sent it back, they literally took our plates and popped them in the microwave for 30 seconds, the plate was warm but the food was still cold. The Friday all you can eat Fish Fry is really not worth it even at $8.95. They take a long time to bring it out and not worth the wait. The fish is all mushy and some sort of weird Singapore fish I never heard of. It is also like going into an old age home, because every customer in the restaurant is very elderly. Service was mediocre by the one server working while the others were heard standing around gossiping. I was asked how things were at the register and I said "way to expensive" while the gossiping server lady said " never heard that before" under her breath for all to hear. We will never be back and will be sure to tell many others not to even try it. So disappointed and now 12 dollars less in my pocket and still Hungry! read more
