This place is filthy and disgusting, flies flying around, the floor is so dirty and sticky my shoes got stuck to the floor as I stood thrrr waiting on my order I placed 30 minutes ago and they were not busy at all. The older man with glasses was nasty digging in his ears for wax and was prepping "clean" silverware, so do not eat here if you value your health and safety and clean environments. Mrs. Foot and myself managed to sneak out this past weekend while the little ones were off with the grandparents... figured it was time for a real breakfast. Not that bagel-and-cereal situation we usually get over at the in-laws' den. Pulled this place up on my Yelp app and it just kind of called to me... something about The Egg Station and the railroader in me gave me a good feeling. Like it was sending a signal to a wandering cryptid in need of coffee and meat. It's a cozy little spot... reminded me of those roadside diners I used to hide out in back in the day. It was close to noon, but luckily they do breakfast all day... which speaks to my kind of schedule. There's a small parking area right out front and a grassy patch across the way that's perfect for oversized vehicles or an inconspicuous forest-dwelling footprint. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever. I scanned the whiteboard with the specials at the entrance like I was decoding ancient cave glyphs. There were knick-knacks scattered all over... a real treasure trove of decor. We picked a spot by the seasonal holiday tree... festive without being over-the-top. Our waitress had a shirt that read something about "Throat Punch Saturday"... made us laugh and instantly set the mood. No fancy brunch tension here... just folks who know how to serve a proper plate of food without fuss. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash Blitz Skillet. Two eggs... corned beef hash... peppers... onions... tomatoes... all piled high on home fries and buried under sausage gravy and cheese. It came out sizzling like it just came off a logging camp fire. It was a true breakfast mountain, the kind you climb slowly, fork by fork. The corned beef hash was tasty... though I would've liked it crispier in places. The sausage gravy was surprisingly good... not that canned paste stuff. This was the real deal. Mrs. Foot got the Meat Lovers Omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. That omelet looked like it could feed a small search party. She's not big on potatoes usually, but she really liked these hashbrowns. They had that all-over crunch, not just the top and bottom. No mushy middle. We both nodded in appreciation... silently acknowledging a well executed spud. Only thing that caught us off guard was the payment. We assumed you paid up front, but turns out your waitress handles everything at your table and carries it over to the counter. Not a problem, just a twist in the trail we weren't expecting. We walked out full and satisfied... no need to forage again until late evening. Definitely planning to come back and try their lunch menu next time... but for now, we know where to find a solid breakfast spot when we visit the family in Lakeland. read more

TACKY!! don't offer it or charge the same amount, it's like a punishment for needing a GF diet, especially when you are bringing other paying guests. Will not return. First time coming to the Egg Station and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Our waitress Sandra was amazing. The Egg Station of old no longer exists. After 40 minutes and no food, the waitress indicated that they were really backed up - in a restaurant that was only about half full. We canceled our order. We offered to pay for the drinks and she indicated it was on her. We never blame servers for kitchen issues. We left a good tip and bailed. read more

To be honest I was kind of disappointed. First off it took 25 minutes to get our food and once it arrived it wasn't anything special when compared to other places that "specialize" in breakfast. I've had egg sandwiches from McDonald's that are better than what my wife ordered. The waffle was okay but the strawberries had to be out of the can there was nothing fresh about them. The biscuits and gravy was the best part if the meal. Probably won't go back. On a positive note service was good other than food taking forever. read more

After reading some people recommend The Egg Station on Facebook my wife and I decided to give it a try for a late Sunday breakfast. We arrived at 11:00am and the place was full which is a good sign. Unfortunately, that was about the last of the goodness. We weren't greeted and guests at a table near the door told us to seat ourselves. We found one of the last two open tables (several were waiting to be cleaned off) and our server came by about 4 minutes later to give us menus and take our drink order. Drinks were delivered quickly but what followed was a painfully long wait for our food which wasn't delivered to the table until 12:10pm. Yes, that's right. It took over an hour to deliver my wife's order of sausage gravy and my two eggs with hashbrowns and bacon. I was told my toast was 'on its way' but it never arrived and there were no drink refills offered the entire time we were there. While we waited we overheard servers telling new guests it would be a hour wait and several guests left. It took both my wife and me 6 minutes to clean our plates and then we sat (still toast less) waiting for our bill even though by that time the place was half empty of guests. Our bill was delivered to the table at 12:26pm with no ask if we wanted anything else and I noticed it had a timestamp of 11:11am. We mentioned to our server my toast never showed and that it wasn't a big deal but just wanted to let them know. She took back the bill, crumpled it with an honest apology and brought a new one back with a 10% discount. Overall, the food was alright but the speed of the kitchen staff and service was enough to make this a one-n-done for us. read more

We came here to eat with my grandparents who just moved to the area. We sat at a table that had ads all over it, so my fiancé asked our waitress how much it is to get on the table. she replied "i don't know baby he just gives me stuff you have to fill out a card". Okay thanks lol. She takes our order without writing anything down. Brings out my grandpas food wrong. No side and the egg was cooked wrong. she never apologized, not even once. she came to check on us maybe twice after we got the food. we had to wave her down to get more coffee... the floor was so sticky it felt like my shoes were about to be ripped off my feet. the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, and there's at least 10 flies swarming our table and our food. that was our last time coming here. this place is so disgusting. read more

Dismal! My breakfast of eggs & hash browns came out without the toast... sloppily thrown on the plate & cold. No pepper on the table....The toast finally arrived cold.... butter on the side.... so no melting butter going on there.... the service... if you want to call it that was slow and as cold as the food. My husbands pancakes were ok at best... we waited a long time to try this place.... and we will not be back. Sad. read more

Three might be generous ... My friend got the biscuits and gravy and her opinion was "if I just wanted Hardee's biscuits and gravy I could have gone there" ... Nothing special, no better than fast food, but nothing wrong ... I had chocolate chip pancakes ... Ditto the sentiment, they were similar in taste and texture to McDonald's hot cakes, just with chocolate chips added ... And the syrup tasted just the same and was in fact corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup as the first two ingredients ... I asked for crispy bacon and it was nice and crispy, the over easy eggs (mine) and scrambled eggs (my friend's) were prepared properly ... Nothing really wrong, but nothing worth repeating read more

WOW what happened to the Egg Station??? This was my favorite place to eat. The service and food has really gotten bad. Had THE worst breakfast there the other day. They have changed the type of homefries and mine were grey and mushy. If you do a carryout order, check your order before driving all the way home. Cole slaw was to have been included with the order and the Greek salad was missing the potato salad. What you order in should be exactly what you would get when you do a carry out! read more

Do not eat here unless you have all day to wait for your food. The service was beyond slow! Our waitress we found out was helping in the kitchen cooking the food. You would think the other waitresses would pitch in to help out but they only took care of their tables. So this used to be our favorite place for breakfast, always good service, quick, fresh good quality food. Well after a long hiatus (been low carb) we decided to treat ourselves to our favorite and came here for a Station bowl and home fries. Well we were greatly disappointed, the home fries are now frozen diced potatoes not fresh sliced fried potatoes like they used to be, the Station bowl was well below standard with watery grits and a light sprinkle of bacon bits rather then the normal 2 slices of diced bacon. The gravy tasted like an instant mix as well. Now they are no better than any other and worse than many. Unfortunately this is likely our last visit. read more

We wanted a casual late brunch and this place was perfect for that! Very casual, almost diner feel. Chicken and waffles covered in gravy was a hit. Chicken was cooked just perfect, crispy and not too much breading. Gravy was ok but all together was great. Chocolate chip pancakes were ordered as well and were huge. They both said their meals were good. Nothing to write home about but both cleaned their plates. I ordered the chicken salad melt with sweet potato fries. The fries are some of the best I've ever had! I'd come just for those! Dipped in syrup was perfection. The melt was good, I think it could have used a little more mayo/sauce and wasn't very melty/cheesy but the marbled rye was delicious. Overall a good brunch meal for the price! read more

I went there this morning wanting a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with butter salt and pepper and they gave it to me on a hamburger bun. WTF? Then there was no butter salt or pepper and the girl tells me they dont season the food. Wondering why she didn't say that BEFORE I paid for it when I clearly asked for it when I placed my order? Then she had had the worst attitude with me when I asked for a manager and she said "I cant deal with this" as she handed the phone to the manager. Not worth it ever coming back. Horrible experience. They brought us a biscuit that was supposed to be homemade every morning and it was cold plus they charged us extra to have one biscuit instead of toast. Pretty sure the biscuit was leftover from the day before. The worst part about the place is it is filthy. Restrooms were trashed, black hand prints all over the door next to the restrooms, and the floors were dirty even though they had only been open about an hour. Who knows how filthy the kitchen is. They now only have 2 waitresses working , not only did it take us an hour and a half to get our food they served 3 other tables of families that came in after us first. The food at egg station is outstanding and I've NEVER had a bad meal. Now, the reason I came here is to talk about the chicken tenders. I hope the chef reads this because I NEED you to know how important, life-altering, standard-setting and just all-around amazing your chicken tenders are. Every restaurant has chicken tenders but now that we've had egg station chicken tenders, all others pale in comparison.
