The shrimp seems like it's bought from your local grocery store it's thin and not thick like your ordinary boiling crab shrimp. I go to the Ontario location mainly. I came here once a long time ago and it was the same sauce/food/everything, but this recent time it was completely different. Took my friend here for her birthday and I thought we would be getting the same food. I can now officially say that after trying various different alike places like Kickin Crab, Wild Crab, Boiling Crab, Star Crab, etc that Bucket Crab is the best, especially this location. The fried catfish and fried shrimp are absolutely delicious. Love their Cajun fries too. We usually get two pounds of shrimp bucket style medium with sausage pieces and corn with a side of catfish and Cajun fries. Their chicken tenders are also great for kids. I started this review (below) while waiting for my food and honestly I can say service is very underwhelming, but the food was actually good. I would come back for the food and hope that service gets itself together. I ordered wings, sweet potato fries along with a combo meal with two pounds of crawfish and one pound of shrimp. My grandma, who is normally very picky with her crawfish, ate so much of it and enjoyed it more than her usual pick of kickin crab. What started as a one star review went up to 3, but they would've gotten a higher rating if their service wasn't so awful :/ I came here for a combo of shrimp and crawfish along Slow service, the people in the back were not all wearing masks and they are the ones working directly with the food. The cashier in the front also makes the drinks while collecting payments and not sanitizing her hands in between doing both. Her English wasn't very great so there's also a language barrier that makes customer service feel like it's not as great because if she would ignore the question or respond rudely and shake it off. There is no printer that delivers the orders straight to the kitchen so the person at the register has to go back there with all the tickets and post in the kitchen. This causes a lot of problems as you can imagine. There was a rush when I went in and I watched as all the tickets stacked up and were brought to the back. I waited an hour for my food and watched everyone who came after me pick up their order when I called ahead also. When I first came in to pick up my food, I was told I would just be waiting on the fries. An hour later after everyone after me got their food she told me they are just waiting on my wings. Turns out I waited extra time because they made a mistake and gave me an extra order of wings. I didn't want the extra order .. it would've been nice to have my food on time. read more

In my opinion, I will go with the hot next time. Medium didn't punch me in the mouth like I wanted. (QUICK TIP) The sauce is very thick and on the sweet side. So make sure you use the pepper and salt containers. Squeeze the lime in there and mix it up. Use that juice and mix it with some seafood boil sauce on your plate. It will take it to the next level!! REVIEWING TAKEOUT SERVICE~ NOT IMPRESSED AND WOULDN'T RETURN What a disappointment! $40ish got us a large side of fries, side of Mac n cheese, fried shrimp appetizer, and a pound of snow crab (about 5 legs) My husband tried to surprise me with a seafood treat and stopped here per my special request. He even mentioned that it seemed really fragrant in the restaurant. Fifteen minutes later he's home and we open my takeout meal. Fries are NOT Cajun!!!!! There was NO FLAVOR. There are a few flecks of what looks similarly like a Lawrys seasoning salt. I expect somewhat~soggy fries due to the delay in eating my meal, but even McDonalds fries aren't THIS soggy in a takeout. Then to get home and not even have my ranch dressing that was requested makes it even more frustrating. They included TARTAR sauce instead, clearly marked with a "T." Side of Mac n' cheese (not shown in photos) was the only decent item and seemed creamy and buttery to taste. My son seemed to enjoy it. The pound of snow crab (note: 5/6 legs) didn't even have any flavor. I've never encountered a seafood place to not use even old bay seasoning to boil crab legs, but this crab leg cluster is stark white bare. We thought the seasoning sauce would be in the crab boil bag, but there wasn't any immersion of flavor whatsoever. So, to enjoy the crab meat, it was dipping it in the red sauce like you dip chips in salsa. That is not enjoyable whatsoever. Photo should make it very clear that there is no color to what should have been a more vibrant meal; there is little to no flavor to anything I tried. The rocket shrimp themselves are as big as my stumpy chubby thumb. Again, no flavor. Crispness lacking only because it took him a few min to get home, I get it. Then, why do I have TARTAR sauce??? This meal just made no sense and to top it off, spending $40ish is a HUGE disappointment. In my opinion don't waste your time or your money here. Even when we called to ask why the sauce was separate and if this was typical, and to comment how flavorless it was, the guy on the phone was confrontational with us and was so disrespectful. It only infuriated my guy more, of course. It was my first seafood boil-type of meal and one I've been wanting to try for ages; I've seen the travel and YouTube videos blog their takeout meals from restaurants like these and I'd salivate while watching their opening a hot steamy bag of spicy sauciness and seafood, IN CONTRAST, this place was a FAR CRY FROM the presentation I anticipated. The way the guy spoke to us on the phone isn't even worth our time to bring the lackluster food back to this neighborhood. This location is so convenient- just off the highway. Restaurant was half full when we arrived on sat night around 6ish. Servers were attentive and friendly, knowing it's our first visit, went through menu with us, made some recommendations. The combo meal options were great if you have a group and like carbs (comes with the corn and potatoes). We like salads but they don't have any vegetables options. Not complaining just stating our diet restrictions. We ordered the garlic mussels appetizer, shrimp in bacon wrap, a pound of steam shrimps, garlic noodles and yelp check in threw in a small order of fish balls (which they forgot but brought it out with an apology after they were reminded). Everything was tasty, shrimps were very fresh but there was grit/ sand in the shrimps. I had thought it was just one piece, then another... hubby tasted a piece and said no sand in one but sand in another so I tried to dismiss it but when I had the next pieces that went crunch crunch in between my bites, it made me have to choose to continue chewing and swallow or spit it all out.... In the end, at least 3/4 of the shrimps had sand/ grit. I had tasted sand when eating other shell fish but rarely in shrimps so I'm not sure how they clean the shrimps to leave sand in so many pieces. In hindsight, should have raised it to them from the first couple pieces I tasted. They did check in with us on how we were doing at the beginning of the meal but that was when I was still deciding if it was a one off piece. We enjoyed the sauce on the side - it's perfect spicyness. The banana ice cream desert was a nice finish to the dinner. Our bill came up to over $50 plus tip, no beverages.
