This establishment has some tasty Catfish and great Mac and cheese. We stopped by for dinner and ordered the whole chabang meal, which came with catfish, shrimp, fries, and a side of mac & cheese. The customer service is excellent. This weekend was their last day for business at this location. They'll still have their vendor service. We really enjoyed our visit here and recommend it for you seafood lovers. We're looking forward to enjoying other items on their menu.

If you're looking for something that will comfort you and just feed your soul, don't look any further. We ordered cat fish, shrimp and some chicken. Everything was fried perfectly. The coating stayed well and did not fall apart after biting into it. The Mac and cheese was perfectly seasoned. The collard greens was not my favorite but it was well seasoned as well. The person helping us at the counter was really nice and explained everything to us as it was our first time there. There was a a good amount of seating, Only downfall was it was super hot. They had 2 a/c boxes but didn't seem like it was cooling the place off. Definitely would order again to try the other items but would take it to go.

Whole Shabang with Mac and cheese

Me and my fiancé wanted fish and found this place from a TikTok review. From the moment you walk in you can feel the hospitality. I ordered the whole shabang and it came with shrimp, fish, fries, and a side. The Mac and cheese was backed with flavor and the cheese was perfect! I am picky with my Mac and cheese. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and fish with fries. He got the Carolina bbq sauce on his shrimp & it was chefs kiss BOMB. I decided to go plain to test the flavor of the fish. Personally, I like a little more seasoning, but it wasn't bad. After asking for the Carolina bbq on the side, it made it all better. I highly recommend trying it out, there's not many fried fish spots in the IE so it'll definitely do the job to get your fried fish fix.

Absolutely solid 4. Ambiance is open space & clean. I enjoy the bold color themes in the decor. The service was really good for a small spot like this, it was very attentive even for refills on water. The best thing here is the shrimp and grits, I'd say it's the best in SoCal. The catfish was fried so nicely & the sauces were perfect. The only dish we got that needed something extra was the crawfish salmon fries. The salmon was a tad on the dry side and needs a kick whether spicy or zesty. My whole group all got extra shrimp and grits to go

Picture of the Cole slaw that comes with the blackened salmon that the owner claims they do not sell. Lol. Closed with good reason!

Terrible service.. placed and paid for a large order the day before. Call that morning to make sure they have the order and pickup time.. when do they start cooking?? When I arrive for pickup. Get home. No Cole slaw with any of the 3 meals I ordered. Call and the rude cashier says it's a garnish.. we'll then why does a side of Cole slaw cost $5 if it's a garnish??!!! Terrible service bad attitude. They still owe me $15 for my missing slaw.. lol the response is on brand. I just posted a Pic of the Cole slaw that comes with the 3 blackened salmon plates I ordered that I did not get. Now they claim they dont sell it. What a joke! Closed with good reason

Food was good and the owner was very sweet. Her name is Cha've. I hope I spelled her name correctly. The menu is straightforward and the pricing is doable however I wish the portions for the dessert were slightly bigger for price on dessert. Other than that it's pretty good.

The cheese fries with blackened shrimp on top is FLAVOR TOWN ALL DAY!! They make their own cheese sauce and have a variety of other sauces you can have on the side. The hot sauce is very flavourful. Okay, now the catfish was fresh and crispy! Honestly, you can taste the freshness. The fried shrimp got devoured. They make their own juices. Quava is crack in and the other flavors did not disappoint. Service is top-notch. Friendly, patient, informative and ready to serve. It was a great experience.

IJS...My opinion...My review..... Got the clarion call, had to stop by and support this business. The owner was so sweet, had an opportunity to pray with the wife. God has his hands on them and they are elevating up. Check out my photos, I had a good time with the cheeszzy Mac&Cheese, Green& hush puppies. Shrimp was saucy and good. Tried that special sauce. The owner recommended The Whole Chabang, we got the red snapper, with hot sauce as our dipping sauce. It was good and done perfectly. The place is clean, just a little bit hot during the summer. Service was great and food came out pretty quick. We will definitely be back!

Blackened Salmon Plate

I was down in So. Cal for the day and this place was recommended. The young lady that took my order was pleasant and professional. I ordered blackened salmon that came with rice pilaf and coleslaw. I requested to substitute rice for fries. The atmosphere was pleasant. The wait was about 20 mins. or so. Salmon was seasoned well. Great service!

Food so yummy I forgot to take photos. First time trying this spot and it exceeded expectations. Happy to see a black owned and operated business. Got the Whole Chebang with sole, greens, Mac, potato salad, hush puppies, and okra. All of it was good. Shrimp and fish were still crispy after a 15 minute ride home. Shrimp were a good size. Great seasoning. Really flavorful. Fries were super good too! Mac is on the garlicky side, greens lean more towards the vinegary, potato salad has peas and peppers, okra is okra, and the hush puppies are good and crispy bite sizes, quite dense and packs a punch off flavor. It was all great. No complaints. Food did take a minute to come out but I don't mind waiting at all for goodness. OMG and the banana pudding. Heavy of on the cinnamon and nutmeg. Gives it a unique taste but works really well. It'll definitely add inches to your waistline. Also got the cheesecake but too full so haven't tried it yet. Really good stuff. Will definitely come back.

First time here and it was an amazing experience. First impression walking in, everything was clean, not cluttered, fresh, easy on the eyes. The service was great! The young man was patient with us as we asked questions before ordering. The food was sooooo good. It was hot, well presented, extremely tasty. Proves were good, portions were nice.

salmon and crawfish loaded fries

This place has come a long ways! I remember the first time I tried them they were just a pop-up I came across in a Facebook group and they set-up shop in a parking lot along University drive in downtown Riverside. I went to support and wasn't at all impressed with what I got-I didn't even finish it. Fast forward, they got a brick and mortar. New additions to the menu, yet, I still wasn't really impressed with the food, everyone else online seemed to love em tho. My brother happened to be one of those that are okay with the place and had been raving about their new salmon fries. One day as he was leaving somewhere to get some food, I joined him. Didn't know where he was going 'til we were halfway there. As he parked to order, I figured wth, I'll give em another shot. I must say, these fries were pretty good. I was expecting the typical loaded fries-beans, cheese, pico, sour cream with your choice of meat-but these were different. The fries weren't too hard or crunchy, but just right and seasoned well on their own with some Cajun type seasoning. It's loaded with crawfish and salmon, plus some type of cheese that worked really well with everything-it was a really good cheese. Didn't expect to end up so full but it was really filling. In addition, I ordered the fish with one side just to see if their fish got any better-I ordered the snapper. To my surprise, these were fried really well and also a better portion of fish-the best fish I've ever had from here. Only complaint is that it lacked seasoning. Happy to say that this business actually seeks to improve and do better and that this experience proved that. Would be willing to go back and see what other dishes are better than I remember

So good we forgot to take a pic before we ate.

We also order one serving of rice to split between me and my bf. The total came out to around $80 with tip included, which felt pretty reasonable for the amount of seafood we got. Service was very attentive. They kept refilling our water, clearing our buckets, and checking in to make sure everything was good throughout the meal. We got the Cajun spice mild and the sauce was amazing, especially with the rice. It was very flavorful and comforting. The shrimp were definitely the highlight because they soak up the sauce really well. The mussels and crawfish were good, but the meat was a bit smaller and seemed like it might be frozen. If you are ordering, I would recommend going for the shrimp set because it pairs the best with the sauce. Overall a really enjoyable meal and a fun place for a casual date night.

For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. The banchan was delicious and had a nice variety, including radish stem kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cakes, soybean paste with nuts, fried eggplant, and more. Everything tasted fresh and well made. The soybean stew was packed with flavor and had potatoes, onions, and zucchini--super comforting. The short ribs were juicy and flavorful, especially with a side of rice. The pork cutlet was perfectly crispy, and the dipping sauce added just the right touch of sweetness. Even the salad was good, with a dressing that wasn't too overpowering. They serve hot barley tea and water, and you can buy canned soft drinks if you want something else. Everything we had was delicious--honestly, there wasn't anything I didn't like. Prices were fair, and the customer service was great. Our waitress checked on us several times to make sure we were good and even showed us how to make rice porridge using the hot barley tea and the crispy rice at the bottom of the pot, which ended up being really good too.
