I got the whole shebang, and at $25, it was worth every single penny! For the main, you can choose between catfish or red snapper.. I went with the red snapper, which comes with jumbo shrimp, fries, and one side... I chose the mac and cheese, and let me tell you, I was smiling from start to finish. I was already a huge fan of their old brick-and-mortar spot in Corona... I recently found out they shifted from the restaurant to doing mobile pop-ups, so when they popped up on my IG feed, I knew I had to pull up and support. Came from Moreno Valley to try this place out. Service and staff were 10/10 very welcoming, helpful, and the place was clean. The cherry cucumber lemonade was delicious, hush puppies 10/10! I got the Chabang plate with sole and shrimp. The shrimp was great, but the sole was paper thin. For a $30 plate, I was hoping for a thicker piece of fish. The tartar and hot sauce did help a lot though. As for the sides: the greens were good but oddly sweet, which was confusing? The mac was okay could use more seasoning, and I was expecting more of a baked mac instead of a pasta-style mac. Would I drive another 45 minutes for this plate? Probably not. This establishment has some tasty Catfish and great Mac and cheese. We stopped by for dinner and ordered the whole chabang meal, which came with catfish, shrimp, fries, and a side of mac & cheese. The customer service is excellent. This weekend was their last day for business at this location. They'll still have their vendor service. The food was good but I was not told that catfish is $2 extra. I got the combo with fish, shrimp, and one side. For $25 (including the $2 extra dollars for catfish) and about 4-5 shrimp, I wouldn't get it again. Other soul food restaurants/food trucks give you nice big pieces of catfish for the same price or lower. read more

If you're looking for something that will comfort you and just feed your soul, don't look any further. We ordered cat fish, shrimp and some chicken. Everything was fried perfectly. The coating stayed well and did not fall apart after biting into it. The Mac and cheese was perfectly seasoned. The collard greens was not my favorite but it was well seasoned as well. The person helping us at the counter was really nice and explained everything to us as it was our first time there. There was a a good amount of seating, Only downfall was it was super hot. Ohhh my goodness!!! So so so good. I ordered the shebang to go via DoorDash I chose the snapper, hush puppies instead of fries and then the shrimp. For sauces I did their barbecue and then ordered a side of the hot sauce. Now for the good stuff I will forever now dream of their hush puppies, good thing they are just a couple miles away. I haven't had hush puppies since a child and they were never this good. Remember the long John Silver days ... fun fact hush puppies were actually made to hush hound dogs up Shrimp ... to absolutely die for crispy fresh not at all fishy. I literally ate the tail as well lol. So so good Wasn't a fan of the barbecue sauce on the fish, but that's just a personal preference because I'm partial to sweetness with certain foods. That barbecue would've gone great with fries though Snapper I don't think I would order again... it's fried with the skin which on so it makes it a bit too fishy for me. The service was really good for a small spot like this, it was very attentive even for refills on water. The best thing here is the shrimp and grits, I'd say it's the best in SoCal. I ordered the whole shabang and it came with shrimp, fish, fries, and a side. The Mac and cheese was backed with flavor and the cheese was perfect! I am picky with my Mac and cheese. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and fish with fries. He got the Carolina bbq sauce on his shrimp & it was chefs kiss BOMB. I decided to go plain to test the flavor of the fish. Personally, I like a little more seasoning, but it wasn't bad. After asking for the Carolina bbq on the side, it made it all better. Terrible service.. placed and paid for a large order the day before. Call that morning to make sure they have the order and pickup time.. when do they start cooking?? When I arrive for pickup. Get home. No Cole slaw with any of the 3 meals I ordered. Call and the rude cashier says it's a garnish.. we'll then why does a side of Cole slaw cost $5 if it's a garnish??!!! Terrible service bad attitude. They still owe me $15 for my missing slaw.. lol the response is on brand. The cheese fries with blackened shrimp on top is FLAVOR TOWN ALL DAY!! They make their own cheese sauce and have a variety of other sauces you can have on the side. The hot sauce is very flavourful. Got the Whole Chebang with sole, greens, Mac, potato salad, hush puppies, and okra. All of it was good. Shrimp and fish were still crispy after a 15 minute ride home. Shrimp were a good size. Great seasoning. Really flavorful. Fries were super good too! Mac is on the garlicky side, greens lean more towards the vinegary, potato salad has peas and peppers, okra is okra, and the hush puppies are good and crispy bite sizes, quite dense and packs a punch off flavor. It was all great. No complaints. Food did take a minute to come out but I don't mind waiting at all for goodness. OMG and the banana pudding. Heavy of on the cinnamon and nutmeg. Gives it a unique taste but works really well. It'll definitely add inches to your waistline. Also got the cheesecake but too full so haven't tried it yet. Really good stuff. I remember the first time I tried them they were just a pop-up I came across in a Facebook group and they set-up shop in a parking lot along University drive in downtown Riverside. My brother happened to be one of those that are okay with the place and had been raving about their new salmon fries. One day as he was leaving somewhere to get some food, I joined him. Didn't know where he was going 'til we were halfway there. As he parked to order, I figured wth, I'll give em another shot. I must say, these fries were pretty good. I was expecting the typical loaded fries-beans, cheese, pico, sour cream with your choice of meat-but these were different. The fries weren't too hard or crunchy, but just right and seasoned well on their own with some Cajun type seasoning. It's loaded with crawfish and salmon, plus some type of cheese that worked really well with everything-it was a really good cheese. Didn't expect to end up so full but it was really filling. In addition, I ordered the fish with one side just to see if their fish got any better-I ordered the snapper. To my surprise, these were fried really well and also a better portion of fish-the best fish I've ever had from here. Only complaint is that it lacked seasoning. Happy to say that this business actually seeks to improve and do better and that this experience proved that. Went here on Sunday. I had the Whole Shabang which came with Filet of Soul and shrimp, French fries and one other side order, I got the collard greens. The fish and shrimp were seasoned and fried to perfection and the greens were pretty good. They make a homemade hot sauce and the tartar and cocktail sauces were very good. The best thing on my plate was the fish and fries, i wasn't crazy about the shrimp and the batter on it I didn't like the mac and cheese as it tasted plan to me and but the seafood sauces has good as they make their sauces in-house which i like. Ok so been wanting to try this place since I moved close to the area. The good: the young woman behind the counter, excellent customer service. I asked for fried medium, good job done with that. The sauces suggested, don't know the names but delish. The bad or mire like fixable: the shrimp and fish lacks flavor. The fish/shrimp without the coating, no flavor, the coating no flavor. The greens too sweet. The cherry cucumber limeade watery and can't taste any cucumber. Now with that said, if they add more flavor to the food, reduce the sugar in the greens and spruce up drink.....this will be a great place for me to go too! read more
