I had the 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon & it came with potatoes. The waitress asked if I wanted real maple syrup with that, I said sure. Enjoyed this place for breakfast. Fresh food. Nice and good wait staff. The lemon pecan pancake had a subtle lemon flavor and was light and fluffy. Loved it! I asked for the yokes to be runny for the poached eggs; that didn't happen, but the egg dish was good and filling with the hollandaise sauce in it. It wasn't a Benedict, but it was very good. It's slightly pricey but average for the area, I would assume. It was a hearty breakfast. The bacon on the side was greasy but tasty. They do not blot off the grease. I got the vegan skillet with an egg. The potatoes were not as crunchy as I thought they would be, they were a little soft. The vegetables were nice and yummy and the skillet was well seasoned. We can on a Sunday around 9:30 am and had about a thirty minute wait. Honestly not bad! In San Diego, you'd be waiting an hour at least for a breakfast place like this one. Service was great! The coffee and half and half was fresh and tasty. I have mixed feelings about the food. I had the eggs Benedict which unfortunately just wasn't good. There was SO MUCH HAM. Like layers and layers and layers of ham. Wayyyyy too much. The eggs were a bit too runny. The hollandaise sauce just didn't do it. The potatoes were mushy. But I also tried the pecan caramel quesadilla and THAT was a knock out. I've never heard of a concoction like this before but it's genius. Every part about it was delicious. The menu is really expansive so I think I just picked a loser for my entree. I would definitely return to try something else! read more

The Buff is a great restaurant with great food. It's a classier, more expensive alternative to Le Peep which is a stones throw away. This restaurant is always packed on the weekends and you will often have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table but while you wait the bar is fully accessible to you. The drinks are slightly expensive, but good. They have mimosas on tap which I found very amusing. The food is great and has huge portions. It can take a little longer to come out, but it is understandable due to the amount of people in the restaurant. You can order anything on the menu and most likely will not walk away disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a lot of space. This is certainly one of the most popular brunch spots in boulder for a good reason and definitely deserves consideration for your next brunch. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch after arriving in Boulder. Had the Breakfast Burger and the Chicken & French Toast (gluten free, but you can't tell). Both were amazing! The French toast was incredibly flavorful and both crunchy but not overly crunchy. The chicken was perfectly fried. And it came with some amazing maple syrup and plenty of bacon--would definitely order that again. The breakfast burger had some delicious bacon and an egg cooked to order on top. The bun was tasty and overall it hit the spot. Both were served with some decent breakfast potatoes. Had a coffee, which was locally brewed and was just OK. Next time I may skip the coffee. The buff is an excellent restaurant. It's bigger then what it looks like too. The waitress was good. We were seated in the bar area which was pretty busy and kind of tight. The wait time was pretty close to the time we were told. It was well worth the wait! Plates are large portions! The food has such good flavor. We had the breakfast quesadilla, kid strawberry waffle, eggs and potatoes. I also had to try the large iced coffee that everyone raves about in the reviews, that was good! My friend had the sunset mimosa which was pretty yummy. It was nice having non alcoholic and alcoholic options. I loved their homemade jelly too! While on a visit to Boulder, I opted to check out The Buff since it was close to my hotel. Weekends are packed, so I chose to visit Monday morning for breakfast. I had the Eggs Florentine Benedict and boy was it good. The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy; just perfect over easy over eggs, spinach, and tomatoes on an English muffin. Portions at The Buff are big, so come hungry. The menu is large and there's something for everyone. There's plenty of outdoor seating and social distancing protocols are being followed. Came here for brunch! It was already 1:30pm(the restaurant closes at 2), but there was still a pretty long line. We got a table outside on the patio. It was shaded with a big umbrella. We ordered the fruit/granola/yogurt plate, eggs benedict, and huevos rancheros. The servings were huge and we were so full after the meal. We still had some fruit leftovers. The granola and fruit was fresh and delicious. I loved how it came in a cut out canteloupe. It was also served with bread and jam, which was still good after a few hours. The huevos rancheros were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The eggs were soft and the salsa, guac, beans, and rice really put everything together. Went there Sunday morning 8 AM Nov 3, sat at the counter for breakfast the girl that just got on her shift treated me with incredible rudeness . I left the restaurant without ordering and will never go back. The restaurant needs to pay attention to the college drop outs they hire, and test them and train them for people skills. There is nothing special about scrambled eggs to pay S30 dollars , drive a while to get there only to be treated with rudeness. I normally wouldn't give a "diner" type restaurant 5 stars but this place was top of the heap. I don't think 5 stars need to be reserved for Michelin Starred restaurants. This place did what it does REALLY well. They run an extremely efficient service, the staff is super friendly and their food is great. Our food came out so quickly, I was amazed. The restaurant was packed with people still waiting to be called in for seating. (We were there for Sunday brunch). So it would be challenging for any eatery. But shortly after we placed our order, the food came out. I didn't time it, but I feel like it was no more than 3-4 minutes. I could see they had a fairly large kitchen and an equally large prep area in front of the kitchen. The employees I could see all appeared to be enjoying their work. That's always a good sign. I'll definitely go back there every time I visit Boulder. Even though there is a crowd of people standing outside to get in, it only took us about 20 min to get seated. read more

The chicken had virtually no flavor pretty much same with the French toast. The bacon was undercooked. I won't say my breakfast was hot but rather components had been sitting around a while. So it was not worth the $15 price tag. My husband had the Blt on brioche with sweet potato fries. His was really good he said although it was skimpy on the bacon for a blt. I was served a mediocre breakfast that included some inedible link sausage (it sat under the heat lamp so long that it had become hard and dry). I told the server and she said she would tell the kitchen. Then came back with my check, charging me the full amount for this meal. I suggested to her that it didn't make sense to charge me for inedible food. "That would require the manager," she said. And then she just walked away. And still she did nothing. Madison was our waitress and she was so cheerful and attentive. I had the pancakes and added blueberries and granola. So good! The potatoes were so flavorful.
