This place has bad service but okay food. The "famous" chip and dip is just a bowl of sour cream and cold potato chips. I usual like to write more in reviews but that really does sum it up and nothing else is needed. You can do better.

2nd time here with our two dogs. Great food and service. Sat on the patio at the rear and the dogs got a nice bowl of water and we ordered their pup cups which they both enjoyed. Will be back again when in the area.

First the patio is dog-friendly, it's spacious with many tables and beautiful place to hang out when the weather is great My poke bowl was huge! I couldn't finish, probably only ate ¼ of the bowl and I was full. Took the rest home. My husband's burger was also huge but he gobbled it all because it was tasty. He said the coleslaw was also the way he likes it, a little cranky and tangy. Parking is easy when we were there on Sunday.

Pretty good experience overall. Not many customers, they're all probably at Stray Dog. Solid food and drinks.

We stopped at Casey's for a casual date night. After reading the menu we decided to just order a bunch of appetizers. The drunken scallops, chips and dip, crab cake and pork belly tacos all hit the mark. The dip with the cups needed a bit more salt for my taste but the chips were really well seasoned. Everything else was great. The service was a little lackluster but not necessarily bad or anything. The patio was cute, not too loud, and with the ivy coming in and the sun shining it was lovely.

Had an incredible fried perch sandwich here today with an awesome side of pineapple coleslaw! It looks so good I dug in without taking a pic. We ate on the back porch and it was Wonderful. Service was on point.

My wife and I had lunch today (08-24-25). There was live music (starting at 1:00 pm) that was pleasant. Great atmosphere on the back patio. The staff was polite and playful. I had the Blackberry Jalapeno Burger with the Pineapple Slaw and she had the Grilled Cheese and Bacon sandwich with sweet potato tots. Everything was delivered to the table warm and with good presentation. We split our meals so we could both experience the unique flavor profiles. I would order both meals again as they were delicious, not on your typical menu, and decent portions. Wife loved the clam chowder. Side note: there was a ton of the sweet potato tots (we had plenty left over). Not the least expensive lunch in the area, but I feel the quality of the food and portions made it worth it. Would eat here again.

A great spot in New Buffalo! Excellent cocktails, friendly service, and a lovely dog friendly patio perfect for spring through fall. The food is fresh and delicious definitely stopping by again next time I'm in the area!

Stopped by Casey's recently for a game, and just had drinks and an appetizer. Standard bar experience, bartender was super friendly and fun to chat with. Came back tonight for dinner and had a great meal! The chef special was raved about by the (different) bartender so I gave it a go. It was a chicken thigh seasoned with what I think were Indian spices, and served as a deconstructed ramen with noodles, broth, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was so decadent. But Casey's is like a bar/pub so I was utterly confused - how did this amazing & creative food come out of this kitchen where I had only ordered cheese curds from previously??? New to the area but will be a regular at Casey's moving forward - whether for a chill time on the patio, saddling up to the bar for a brew, or dinner!

Very very mid. I had the pork belly sandwich and I couldn't eat it. It was 80% fat. The homemade chips were good.

Having a private room made the evening feel so special, and the team was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process. We also had some trouble connecting to the room's speaker to play our music, and the staff was so patient and determined to help. They took the time to troubleshoot the issue with us until everything was working because they genuinely wanted us to have the best night celebrating my sister. That extra level of care and hospitality meant so much and made the evening even more memorable. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone planning a private event or celebration. Thank you for helping make my sister's bachelorette dinner so special!

We started with the meatball appetizer, which was outstanding. The meatballs were incredibly light, tender, and flavorful, and the accompanying focaccia was just as impressive. It was fresh, crusty, and perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the rigatoni. The house-made pasta was cooked perfectly, and the slightly spicy tomato sauce had just the right amount of heat. The generous portion of sausage made the dish hearty without being overwhelming, and the portion size was spot on. My wife ordered the ravioli, which was served in a rich and creamy sauce that was absolutely delicious. Like my dish, the fresh, house-made pasta really stood out and elevated the entire meal. Between the beautiful setting, excellent service, and outstanding food, Terrace Room delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

I made a 6:30pm reservation and noted the occasion, and the staff sweetly sat us right by the window with a stunning view of Lake Michigan. I started the night with an Aperol Spritz. While their menu doesn't explicitly label items as gluten-free, I had called ahead and knew they could accommodate me. The appetizer options were a bit limited, so we shared the Brussels to start, followed by the corn and tomato risotto for my main, which was delicious. Our server was relatively new but incredibly attentive, even making sure to double-check with the kitchen that everything was safely GF. They offer multiple gluten-free options for mains and desserts, including GF pasta. We shared the ricotta cheesecake, and our server also brought out a complimentary chocolate mousse with orange slices and a birthday candle. Don't let the unlabeled menu scare you off--the staff is wonderful, the food is great, and you can't beat the lakeside view!

Certainly, there is no shortage of dining options in a fairly concentrated area heading up and down N Whittaker St. But the place you really need to visit is a bit north from there on W Buffalo St. Villa Nova is an unpretentious establishment that makes you feel at home. Don't go if you are in a rush, as you will want to hang around and soak in the environment. Also, the food is made with care, not with haste. You have to try the simple-ingredient derived marinara sauce topped with a large dollop of goat cheese and served with toasted crusty baguette slices. You can also partake of this marinara ambrosia on a pizza. The crust is probably the best I have had. And I have had them all. We had sausage on one of our pizzas, and it is deliciously kissed with fennel seed, and they are not stingy on the portions. We also had margherita pizza which was divine. Even the Caesar salads my wife and I had were tossed with the exact right amount of dressing. So, make your way here a little off the 'touristy' path. On a recent family trip, it was suggested that we stop in for a late lunch. Given that it was a holiday and a lack of other options in the area, I went along. When you first step inside, you'll notice that it wants so hard to be an Irish sports bar. Lots of sports memorabilia and statues accompany cheesy, over-done Irish slogans and designs. With its location, the sports angle is a logical slant. I get it. However, this is no Irish pub. One section of the restaurant is elegant, with linen napkins and beautiful dark wood trim. Its appearance is reminiscent of Victorian age dining and probably more typical of a finer resort-style atmosphere. Another section is a little less fancy, with white tablecloths and a more casual appearance. A third option, where we dined, is in the sports bar area, complete with patio and view of the golf course. The menu is fairly typical pub fare: burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and appetizers. I didn't see anything that stood out. With the exception of a shepherd's pie, it also lacked curry fries, which was disappointing, given the facade of an Irish pub. Right off the bat, I suspected we were in for a lacking experience when we were told that the staff was short-handed due to the holiday. I initially cut them a bit of slack because I understood. However, that's where my forgiveness ended. Our server, apparently covering the entire place, won no points when she took our drink orders and couldn't tell us what they had on tap for beers, nor did she have a list. The group ordered a few appetizers, including wings. For my meal, I opted for a turkey burger with avocado. The wings were barely flavored, except with too much salt and the only redeeming qualities were that they were crispy and served with both ranch and blue cheese dressing. The celery was even a tad soggy. My turkey burger was served to me with an added note that they were out of avocado. Had I been told that from the beginning, I would've ordered something else. The burger was peppery and also quite salty and the bun barely stood up to the challenge of keeping my tomato in place. The sodium levels gave me a hint that it was probably a frozen, low-quality patty. Ick. I drank far too much soda and water to try to keep my heart rate down for the rest of the day. The fries were also nothing special and also likely frozen items. The plus of the place is that the patio does have a pretty view of the golf course. If you like golf courses, that is. Other than that, it's a way to enjoy the outside and there are a lot of tables and room to walk around. If you're looking for a place to park yourself for some drinks and conversation this may just be the spot for you. I'd consider giving the other dining options a chance, though I wouldn't count on seeing me here anytime soon. Otherwise, if you do, I've been driving around the area looking for something resembling civilization and was hungry or drug along for family time when I'm not the decision-maker.
