The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made our visit special was the outstanding service and their genuine dog-friendly atmosphere. Our waitress, Julia, went above and beyond--she even surprised our dog with a pup cup, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel incredibly welcome. That level of kindness and attention really added to the enjoyment of our meal. Our server, Chloe, was great! BBQ pulled sandwich was pretty good, but the pineapple slaw is nothing special. Average coleslaw with golden raisins and canned pineapple chunks. My friend's friend fries were far superior. Everything needs salt, which is provided on the table. Would like to try other menu items, but will ask more questions next time. Ambience was nice! First the patio is dog-friendly, it's spacious with many tables and beautiful place to hang out when the weather is great My poke bowl was huge! I couldn't finish, probably only ate ¼ of the bowl and I was full. Took the rest home. My husband's burger was also huge but he gobbled it all because it was tasty. He said the coleslaw was also the way he likes it, a little cranky and tangy. Parking is easy when we were there on Sunday. read more

We stopped at Casey's for a casual date night. After reading the menu we decided to just order a bunch of appetizers. The drunken scallops, chips and dip, crab cake and pork belly tacos all hit the mark. The dip with the cups needed a bit more salt for my taste but the chips were really well seasoned. Everything else was great. The service was a little lackluster but not necessarily bad or anything. My wife and I had lunch today (08-24-25). There was live music (starting at 1:00 pm) that was pleasant. Great atmosphere on the back patio. The staff was polite and playful. I had the Blackberry Jalapeno Burger with the Pineapple Slaw and she had the Grilled Cheese and Bacon sandwich with sweet potato tots. Everything was delivered to the table warm and with good presentation. We split our meals so we could both experience the unique flavor profiles. I would order both meals again as they were delicious, not on your typical menu, and decent portions. Wife loved the clam chowder. Side note: there was a ton of the sweet potato tots (we had plenty left over). Not the least expensive lunch in the area, but I feel the quality of the food and portions made it worth it. The best part about our experience for dinner was immediate seating at a very busy time in new Buffalo. We showed right to a table indoors with comfortable air conditioning. The menu is fine. The food was average. But the wait? Interminable! finally, the server brought one of our four meals. We then waited 25 minutes for the other three. I stopped by Casey's for a casual cocktail when in the downtown New Buffalo area. Their cocktail and beer selection was pretty decent but the service was not it. Staff were immediately dismissive and rather rude to our group. We were told that if we wanted to sit outside, we needed to order at the bar and bring out ourselves. We got a round of drinks on one tab at the bar but requested to switch one before our bartender entered it into their system. He kindly rolled his eyes at us and asked if we wanted to change anything else sarcastically. It took about 15 minutes to make all (5) drinks which wasn't terrible but also got sass when reminding him we asked for one water. Outside of the service, our group really enjoyed the drinks. They were well balanced. I got the pear cosmo which was my favorite drink of the evening! Some others we got a spicy margarita, hazy ipa, and moscow mule. Stopped by Casey's recently for a game, and just had drinks and an appetizer. Standard bar experience, bartender was super friendly and fun to chat with. Came back tonight for dinner and had a great meal! The chef special was raved about by the (different) bartender so I gave it a go. It was a chicken thigh seasoned with what I think were Indian spices, and served as a deconstructed ramen with noodles, broth, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was so decadent. But Casey's is like a bar/pub so I was utterly confused - how did this amazing & creative food come out of this kitchen where I had only ordered cheese curds from previously??? Crazy good sandwich...I wrote a general review of Casey's a year ago, which still holds. Needed to write a specialty review, however, after having the pictured Philly Cheesesteak. My son got the same sandwich and we agreed, it's one of the best we've ever had. Tons of flavor with the perfect mix of ingredients and mildly messy. If they ever take it off the menu I'm boycotting Casey's for life. Side note: I did not like the sweet potato tater tots as they are dusted in cinnamon and it's just strange (seems like some will love them, some will hate them). Food was below average for bar food, I got the pretzel bites and beer cheese dip. The pretzel bites were burnt and hard, the dip had no flavor. We came back later because we were told it was the only bar with a band in town and it was one singer not a whole bad. The outside bartender was not at all friendly and pretty rude. Service was very slow at lunch when it wasn't busy and when they were busy. None of the staff greeted you or even tried to be nice. Outside area is nice lots of trees, but you can smell the dumpster in certain sitting areas, we did at lunch. read more

Our server, Tamara not only made our meal a total joy, but even corrected a problem with one in our party's dinner. Tamara figured out the problem and had the kitchen fix it the best way possible. I loved this hidden charmer on the Main Street of a tourist town. I had walked by several times, thinking it was a just a casual bar. We were looking for a late lunch and popped in. The bar itself is more stunning than you would expect. A big vintage bar flanks the left side, tin ceiling, varnished wood and classic tile gave off a bit of an Art Deco vibe. Interesting music was playing too. We headed out the back into a lovely backyard oasis. What appears to have been the garage or coach house is now part restaurant and bar. They took great care in adding greenery to match the Ivy covering the extra building. I appreciated the artwork too. There's a fire pit for chilly evenings. The relaxing vibe was real. Our cocktails and food were delicious. My margarita was tart and exciting. My salad was huge and super fresh. Our server was incredible. First time here-came for the lake perch, which is getting a little hard to find on a regular basis. They were busy, but we were seated immediately and our server was with us right away. They have a large outdoor area out back and to the side that we sat at. It was a Thursday night around 8 and there was a decent number of people there but it wasn't crowded. Just a short hour drive, Casey's has been part of our tradition for a summertime drive to New Buffalo and lunch. We love their outdoor seating area, which I refer to as their "secret garden" because if you don't know it's there, you wouldn't know from the looks of the street view of the restaurant. Went here for lunch today with my son and was pretty underwhelmed. My burger was undercooked and my fries were not just cold but tasted old, if you can imagine such a thing, and half the beers on the tap list were out. I get places have off days but as an eatery with a focus on drinking and a fairly high price point they could have done a lot better. Our food was great be warned it will be flaming hot when you get it. It's a cozy place. The chairs are super hard to push back if your outside and on the tall tables cause you can't reach the floor and your on rock. My last fish smelled bad and was a little chewy and too flakey.
