The Bumper Clinic in Palm Desert is the greatest! I really tore up the front of my beloved BMW and a friend suggested I take it to The Bumper Clinic. When I arrived, I was immediately introduced to the owner, Mark. He went over to my Bimmer and explained the damage to me, what the repairs would entail, and the estimated cost. My car was in the shop for 5 days which is exactly what Mark told me from the get-go. He called me several times during the week with updates. Right up there with the worst companies I've ever worked with. I had to bring my Boxster back 3 times due to mistakes. There would have been a fourth time but they never called me back so I just wrote it off because the guy in the office, Derrick, never called me back and I was tired of dealing with him and the company. I always picked up my car on Friday and I would notice the mistakes over the weekend so I would call and leave a message over the weekend. Derrick never called me back, I always had to call him on Monday. These weren't just small mistakes. 1 inch gap on the edge of the fender where paint was missing, leaving compound across the whole edge of the hood, paint on a couple plastic pieces under the hood up by the top edge of the hood - easy to see when your driving the car. Also marks under the clear coat and the real kicker was when I had them replace the Porsche hood emblem, which had a dent in it before I brought it to them but discovered another little dent that they may have made, and the emblem wasn't centered. I mean way off. You would have to be blind not to see it. There was also a crack in the paint by the lower right side of the emblem. I believe they put the emblem on crooked to cover up the crack in the paint. When I showed the guys who worked on it, they just chuckled like it was no big deal. I asked Derrick to inspect the car when it was finished but he either never did so or did and thought I was stupid enough not to notice the mistakes. The last mistake was 2 light scratches on the hood - they did work on the hood so they shouldn't have been there. When I picked up the car, they didn't even have an invoice ready so Derrick was to email it to me on Monday. Of course, I never got it. I found out the company sold to Fix Auto a few days after I initially brought it in. I highly recommend not using this shop. read more

I received an estimate on June 6 and using the contact information I was given (760-674-8990; bumperclinic@verizon.net) I've called and emailed several times. I have yet to receive a response. No one answers the phone, returns voicemail messages or replies to my emails. Update: Found out the issue was with the service provider. Able to make contact after they switched. I recently had a repair done at the Bumper Clinic. Brian was awesome and Cynthia was so helpful at the front desk. The work was excellent! I did find my front driver's side floor mat was soiled from the workers after I arrived home (a paper floor mat was on the floor board when I picked it up). I immediately called Brian who apologized and sent a detail company out to my home the next day. They insisted on detailing the entire car. It was awesome. The Bumper Clinic went far beyond what you could expect in the way of customer service and quality workmanship. I went in on the recommendation of a very loyal customer to see about fixing the bumper on a 1989 Cadillac with some skepticism. Parts were very hard to find and expensive but the gal in the office, Imelda, worked with me to locale a used bumper and the technicians were able to repair the damage at a fraction of the cost for new parts. The car looks like new and the work was done in less than half a day. I would go back to them in a minute and you should too. read more

Stopped in to have an estimate on my mother-in-laws bumper that needed to be repaired before I sold it. Trevor, the new owner, looked at it and said to give him a few minutes and he will see if he can repair it without replacing the bumper. Within 15 minutes he came back and showed me an almost as good as new bumper. He was able to heat it up and get it popped back out and looking good. The price was great and he was honest and knocked it out so quickly. He helped me save time and money. Would go back to him in a second. It's hard to find honest repair guys. read more

This place is a rip off! The woman/owner wife said she would honor a 15% discount on labor coupon. When it came time to pay she said painting and sanding labor isn't labor. What? Even on her computer screen it says "painting labor" "sanding and prep labor". Very dishonest place. read more
