I've ordered from Magic Kitchen maybe half a dozen times, and here are my impressions…read more FIrst off, I really like that there is no subscription required. All you need to do is order at least $50.00 worth of meals and you're good to go. Shipping is prompt and your order will arrive packed in dry ice, in a large polystyrene foam container (which is itself wrapped in plastic). Not the most environment-friendly packaging. Secondly, using their website to place orders is a snap, and I also like how they will email you discount codes on a regular basis. I've also been given a quarterly rebate (in the the form of a discount code) based on the amount of my orders during that time -- kind of a loyalty bonus. Finally, the meals are OK, and I like that they are generally healthy and on the light side calorie-wise. Although they are pricier, the Signature meals are where you will find the highest quality entrees. Some meals can be prepared in the microwave, while others require cooking in the oven (at least based on the instructions printed on each container). It's also convenient that their meals can be kept frozen and not have to be consumed with a seven day window. Overall, I think that Magic Kitchen is definitely worth considering as an option to add some variety to your diet. Some of their meals are better than others, though.

However, they are expensive and so is the shipping. Our last order arrived late and was only partially frozen. The dry ice on top in the crate was completely dissolved. The crate was on a FedEx truck for several days. FedEx driver never rings the bell or knocks either to let you know order has arrived. Customer service not helpful. Not sure if I will be ordering from this company again.

The chicken wrap was excellent too, served with a side of dill sauce that tied everything together. Went during happy hour, which was a great deal -- just get there before 5:30, it cuts off early. Small, cozy spot.

I just want to say what a GREAT experience I've had dining at Hemma Hemma! I've been there twice…read moreso far, and have been consistently impressed. This past week, I joined a friend for lunch, and we both want to formally thank Dana at the front counter for being so welcoming, gracious and helpful. I accidentally knocked over the menu holder, and she reassured me that it was fine and happens frequently. My friend and I split the bill for our order, and she cheerfully rang up each of our portions separately. She guided us through some of the menu options which was much appreciated as there were some new items since my last visit. The food here is FANTASTIC!! I can't remember what I ordered on my first visit (but I do remember that it was delicious!); this week, I had the Brookside Buiddha Bowl, which was AMAZING! Even the presentation was wonderful (see attached photo)! All the ingredients were delicious, and the flavors melded beautifully, and it was so satisfying; it kept me fueled and focused during a long afternoon at work. My friend had the Pickle Chicken Bacon Ranch salad and said it was mouth-wateringly fabulous. The weather was nice enough to sit in the outside patio, which is well-appointed (even a free water station); the first time I was here, I ate indoors and the dining area is light, airy, and expansive, with plenty of room between tables and quiet enough to chat. Having such a healthy, delicious restaurant in the neighborhood is marvelous, and I'm already planning my next trip back to Hemma Hemma! Thank you all SO much!

Clustertruck gets an A+ for convenience, especially if you find yourself in a pinch for lunch or an early dinner and are located near downtown or river market. This is a pick up and delivery only joint and it is a staple when it comes to The Pitch hosting special food weeks, which is fun. It's always enjoyable when local concepts come to play and Clustertruck is as local as you can get. RIP chef Matt but his legacy lives on through yummy decent priced food (excellent priced if you catch them running a half off special). Let's start off with the tacos, the dish I ate the most recently. These were divine and were dripping I'm flavors, the sticky sweet Korean barbeque pork wasn't chewy and provided the perfect Bute of succulent meat inside the white corn taco shells. The slaw was a perfect accent to the tacos with the right level of acidity and freshness. These tacos were top notch! Now, onto the salad which wasn't your basic bed of greens. The creamy homemade dressing was stellar with tangy notes of lemon and earthy Tahini. The crispy lightly breaded fried chicken strips made this salad a bona fide meal with the additions of salty parmesan and bacon it was a near perfect combination of flavors. The burger and the sandwich aren't as fresh in my memory but I remember one being a chicken parmesan and the burger being a barbeque bacon burger. Both weren't as unique as the other two when it came to flavor profiles but, they delivered comfort. And sometimes that's all food is supposed to do- not break boundaries but provide with a warm hug. Clustertruck is a solid choice, super fast and reliable sometimes, their prices are a little steep but, you're paying for convenience and you can usually find some stellar deals! This may be a Clustertruck but it's definitely not a Cluster...well you get the rest!

That being said, it felt like I was the first and only person to ever opt for "pick-up" -- so if you're feeling awkward, and like this is some back-alley transaction instead of a fast food pickup order, you're probably in the right spot. The food was good, but the process for obtaining it {walking around confused and eventually having a delivery driver that had been staring at me, inform me I should knock on the unmarked side door in the alley} was less than ideal.
