Shack Burger (Very Greasy) with Fries (Overcooked)
    Steve D.

This was my first burger at any Shake Shack. I was surprised by how greasy it was. Maybe that's the way some people like their burgers, but I'm not a fan. My shack burger ($9.49) with fries ($3.49) was brought to my table six minutes after I ordered at one of the four order kiosks (cash customers can use the counter). The burger had fresh veggies and two nicely sized, slightly overcooked, greasy patties that completely saturated the bottom bun and the tray liner. The generous portion of crinkle fries was also overcooked. The dining area was nice and new, but the tables had not been wiped down from the night before. I noticed a patio out front and 80's background music in the dining room with other competing music coming from the kitchen. I'm thinking 2.5 stars but rounding up because it's a new location that may eventually get their act together.

First time visiting a Shake shack. Upon entering, you walked up to a kiosk order your food. Not a lot of seating you can get it to go or they will bring it to your table. We chose double cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato, special sauce, and french fries we chose the regular fries did need a little bit of salt on them, but they were good and the star of the show is the True Love Chocolate Shake you have a dark chocolate hard shell around the inside of the cup filled with chocolate shake topped with whipped cream and strawberry shavings. Then you can squeeze the cup and break the chocolate shell into your shake . Overall everything was good and I would go back to this cute little eatery that was nice and clean service was good .

We decided to try out this restaurant since it's relatively new to the area. The service was good and friendly and helpful. My husband's hamburger was good and juicy and his pomegranate tea was good as well. My first burger was undercooked and I had them remake it which they gladly did and gave me a coupon for a free next time item. I had it on a gluten free bun which I am glad they offer but the bun was terrible and fell apart instantly. Some restaurants use certain GF buns that are great and this was not one of those buns. I also think they need to bring out the items on individual sheet pans instead of both of our orders on one which is awkward to eat from and prevent grease from dripping all over the table. The place is quiet and casual and clean. I won't go back because of the bun quality for me. But in general it seemed to have pretty good food.

Nasty ! what should have been a good burger was a fishy tasting burger not once but twice . Don't get the burger get the nacho.

All I can say is don't get the burger it tasted like fish had it sent back got a new burger nope still tasted like fish. The nachos were good, drinks and atmosphere was fun and relaxing. If you try the burger let me know please.

Double ShackBurger Chicken Shack Fries Cookies and Cream Shake

Came here after a trip to Ikea. I have been to the plaza location but never this one. I liked the setup better at this one. The restaurant was pretty empty besides a few people coming in getting pick up orders. We dined in because it's about 40 mins from my house. We ordered on the kiosk and got our number for our table. Wait wasn't longer, our order came out in less than 10 mins. The food was hot and delicious and the shake was cold, flavorful and all was sooo good! We got the double shake burger, the chicken shack, fries and a cookies and cream shake. This place is pricey with a small tip we paid over $35. It's not somewhere we eat all the time so a nice treat when we are near one. We had minimal interaction with the staff but they did greet us when we came and and they brought our order to our table. Only cons that I have are none of the tables looked clean and their water station doesn't give the ability for self serve ice.

    Burnt Chicken Sandwich

They actually had the audacity to give me a burnt chicken sandwich. We did a mobile order and didn't want to travel back. Absolutely terrible.

I also noticed that they have multiple gluten free options (do note that there might still be cross contamination from being in the same case as others with gluten). The cone selection was also nice! Service was excellent, and the space had a great atmosphere. The indoor seating looked comfy, but we decided to eat outside this time around and really enjoyed it. Even though they're next to a big parking lot, there's landscaping that helps the patio feel more comfortable and enclosed. Everything was also very clean and tidy, and I appreciated that the outdoor chairs were easy to move while still being sturdy and wide enough to sit in comfortably (for reference: I sat in the black metal chairs and I'm plus size, specifically a women's 2X in most brands). In the future I'd love to come back and try one of their ice cream flights with some friends. Ultimately this is a great spot for a hang out with friends or family, and would be a great spot for a date too!

One thing I didn't realize is that you can only try 2 samples. I suppose that makes sense since they've had lines both times I've been there and it's popular with families, but I'm generally not a fan of this with ice cream places, especially ones with tons of flavors like Sylas & Maddy's. And there are many other ice cream places in KC that don't limit samples so... I also couldn't help but feel less than welcome here this visit hearing everyone get a "Merry Christmas" before and after me but not me. It could definitely be just accidental, but as a minority it's somewhat harder to brush off. Anyway I think I'll probably still come back here but not in a hurry to do so.

It was quite busy when we stopped in nevertheless the staff was very friendly and happy to let us sample flavors before ordering, which I appreciated. The one thing that really stood out was the price ... and not in a good way. We paid $16 for two scoops of ice cream, which felt pretty outrageous for what we got. I truly enjoy supporting local businesses, and I understand that rising costs and high rent can play a role, but it still didn't feel worth it. I didn't rate them too low based on that because they're doing a great job! If you're going for the atmosphere and experience, it could be a fun stop. But if you're thinking about value for money, it may come across as a bit underwhelming.

The ones I tried were lavender honey, chocolate fudge, coffee, and lemon cake and I honestly loved all of them. I also asked if they had any ice creams with less sugar since I am a diabetic and they had no information about it. I ended up getting half a scoop of the kids cup :) I don't understand why this location has less rating than it deserves. I would give it 5 out of 5 and surely recommend everyone to check it out.
