Our first visit to the Burger Shop was a mostly good experience, the food tasted great and the portion sizes are what you would expect for what you pay. I am personally a big fan of thick-cut fries/steak fries and the Burger Shop delivered on that. The burgers themselves were Large and tasty. I really only have two complaints to speak of the first being that I ordered well done and received a medium cooked Burger but I ate it and enjoyed it regardless. My other complaint being the manner in which they assembled the burger with the veg being at the bottom. If you've never received a burger in this manner or just don't understand what I mean let me explain, If you stack onions lettuce and tomato under a piping hot meat Patty the vegetables previously mentioned will start to expel there moisture which turns the entirety of the bottom bun into a Hot soggy mess which I do not like. Keep in mind I am a bit of a burger connoisseur and have learned a lot in my search for the most epic of burgers and know a thing or two when it comes to Hamburger assembly. Honestly think about all of the places you have ever eaten a burger and I would imagine you will come to the same conclusions that I have. There's a good reason that more than 80% of burger restaurants assemble their burgers in this order (bottom bun, meat, cheese, veg, Sauce, and then the top bun. and if you want to be super secure about it you can add a fatty base to the Buns that will prevent moisture absorption such as mayonnaise or even cheese. "no more soggy bun hooray!" Now I must put a disclaimer here due to the circumstances in which this review was made. At the time of my review, the C19-virus was running rampant and heavy in Texas so we chose to take our order to go and enjoy it at home. I imagine if I had dined in as I normally would have done there would have been no issue with a soggy bun as it would have been served immediately after preparation and I would have inhaled it into the bottomless abyss that is my stomach immediately rendering my second complaint null and void, Buuut... I still do believe that a proper burger assembly would have saved my bun. Mediocre food. Don't bother unless you want just average. Burger, wings, Mac n cheese. Burger was cooked nicely but virtually tasteless. I don't understand, but it's true. The wings were big and meaty. They weren't cooked enough for me, a little pink still They were heavily dressed which was a bit too much for me. Somehow the Diet Coke tasted like "bar coke". Too sweet and under carbonated. The Mac n cheese was your standard out of the grocery store box kind. On the up side, the young man serving us was great! He was pleasant, very respectful and helpful. Came up as a recommended place so I decided to try it. The burger was pretty average, nothing special but no real complaints about it. Was excited about the stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeños because those are hard to find. They were overall not bad, I usually like it stuffed with actual cheese where as this is a cream cheese on the inside, but I know a lot of people like it that way. $16 for a salad.. that's outrageous. The inside was nice and felt clean. They didn't put any utensils to eat it with so that's a negative. Also they must not sell a bunch of salads since the croutons were old and stale. The chicken was decent not too much flavor though but the lettuce itself was good and fresh. The burgers here are the best. You can tell that they season the meat because every bite taste good. The young employees that they have working here are always friendly. The food is alway cooked fresh to order and the place always looks clean. They have a pretty big menu to choose from and they always have daily specials. Was served by Diana and Ty was the cook. My husband got a chance to eat here first and bragged about it to me. Today we are officially moving to Forney so decided to give it a try. It's me and Tre Boy first meal in Forney and it did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection! It was juicy, fresh veggies, and loved the seasoned fries. Diana told us about the specials available and my husband decided to try one of the specials. He said it was even better the 2nd time around. My picky eater son also loved his meal. I literally left and felt like I was leaning to the side I was so stuffed! The prices were a good price and conveniently located to my new home so I see me and my family coming back plenty times. I also observed Diana and Ty work so well together and tend to other customers as well. Was impressed with their pace of making sure to get every customer out quickly, they came to ask us did we need anything several times, and they both had on masks ensuring to keep the customers safe. This place sucked me in about a year ago when I saw they have bacon wrapped jalapeños (surprisingly hard to find just anywhere). They were DELICIOUS and I went back for more an ungodly number of times. I was ordering there multiple times a week, to the point that I'm almost positive they knew it was me before they even finished reading the order. This place has definitely improved from the beginning of their opening. They have improved on their service and being consistent with how the food is prepared. There was a time when my family and I had stopped visiting this place after 2-3 visits but after some time elapsed and apparent change in operating plus them being located right outside my housing development; we decided to give them another shot and extremely happy that we did! Went to visit my mother in the area and decided to have lunch here because I was craving a good burger and fries. I found this place searching on YELP and it did not disappoint! The waitress was very kind and attentive! Wish I had gotten her name. Tried the bacon wrapped jalapeños as an appetizer and got a burger and fries for my entree. Brioche buns are always a plus in my book when it comes to burger buns! They also give you an option on how you would like your burger patty cooked. I love that! Everything was cooked to perfection and my fries were very well seasoned and crispy. My mom got a corn in a cup and she enjoyed that as well. Unfortunately I had to update my rating a little lower. I was pretty disappointed with my pickup service today. I was so excited to get another delicious burger. I called at 1:15 and was quoted 10-15 minutes for pickup. I got there about 10 minutes later and was fine waiting for a little longer, but I did not get my burger until 1:50. Which would've been fine had I been given a correct wait time. I also clearly specified over the phone that I wanted my cheeseburger plain with only meat and cheese. I had to go back in and have it fixed because it had all the veggies on it. The only reason I'm not rating lower is because I really do enjoy the food, it is very tasty. Well let's get the negatives out of the way.... the pattern on the table made me dizzy. Solution, don't stare at it even though it's tempting. That's it. Now for the good stuff. Server was extremely polite and attentive. Food was everything a cheat meal should be. Cheese fries were loaded with bacon, and the shrimp burger was excellent. Would have never considered shrimp on a burger to be a good match but it was excellent. Wife had wings that were flavorful and a good size. Pablano burger looked tempting for next time as well.
