I love this place. The food is excellent, and the people are lovely. It's not too noisy, and you can sit outside if you prefer. You'll love it. I've been there many times. Not sure why they named it The Burger Temple--do they even have burgers? I'm sure they must, but there is such a great menu, I haven't even looked. Unlike so many places in the neighborhood they have parking too! It's a big, airy room, and very pleasant. A great place to have a business lunch during the day, or to take a date in the evening. Unfortunately, they don't have a liquor license yet, so it's BYOB if you want wine with dinner, but they're happy to open it and pour for you. Really, I highly recommend it. read more

The environment is was clean and modern. The service was nice, our server was kind and attentive. I ordered the Picanha, medium rare, and it was cooked well. The portion was smaller than I expected, but nothing terrible. Their chimichurri sauce lacked some flavor, could definitely work on that. Their yuka frita and coleslaw was decent but nothing special. We also ordered the desgranados which we drenched in their pineapple sauce and others. I like the authenticity of this place for their Colombian food. I liked the flavors of the desgranados mixto, we also ordered 2 seltzer waters which in my opinion was a bit overpriced. The whole menu in general is a bit expensive for what they have to offer. My family & I were extremely upset that they had the audacity to automatically charge gratuity!!!!. I choose to give a tip. I'm forced to give a tip! A party of 10 or more is a gratuity, not 2 or 3 people or more, which is what the manager said, so when we complained he removed it from our bill and then we proceeded to tip our waitress Karen, who was wonderful $20. We had the grilled picanha (well done) with white rice, a fresh green salad, and a tasty house sauce on the side. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The highlight was definitely the coconut lemonade -- creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The classic limeade was great too! And don't skip dessert! The Colombian fruit salad was rich and indulgent -- a generous mix of fresh fruit, creamy sweetened milk, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a surprising (but delicious!) topping of shredded cheese. It's an unforgettable mix of flavors and textures -- sweet, creamy, fruity, and just a little savory. Truly a must-try! The staff were very kind, attentive, and polite. You can tell they care. I live around the area, have passed by this spot while it was under construction, and had it on my list for a while. The photos I have seen of the food made it seem like an authentic Colombian spot with wild burgers and hot dog selections (if you know, you know). What you would first notice when walking in may be the decorations. It's a space with high ceilings and seemed like they invested time & effort in decorating effectively. Started off by ordering the Arepitas Fritas. They were crunchy with soft filling on the inside. They came topped with guac and sofrito. The guac was unsalted, but there was a salt shaker on the table so easy fix. I personally do prefer for guac to come unsalted so I could add to my liking. Once I added a bit of salt, each bite was great. As far as arepas are concerned, these were above average. I ordered the Bombastic Hot Dog as my main. This was the only one that didn't have an image on their iPad menu, so I decided to take a chance on it. The ingredients seemed appetizing. However, I was not too fond of it. Instead of a dog, it had chopped pieces of hot dog, steak, and bacon. It had coleslaw and cheese which ultimately made it messy to eat as everything kept falling apart. But they did provide two layers of protection (plate and paper plate for the hot dog). We also got the TBT Burger which came with french fries. The burger was okay, it came well done; it seemed like something that we could have made at home ourselves. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to maybe ask how the patron would like their burger cooked? After a few bites, the burger was a bit dry. Thankfully, though, they do bring out sauces like ketchup, mayo, pineapple sauce, and pink sauce on the side for use. The fries were good and the perfect instrument for all those sauces. My favorite was the pineapple sauce This place is BYOB so we brought seltzers to enjoy. The smoothie and shake selection looked great which made us give in to temptation and order a Mora (blackberry) Smoothie. It was great! Ultimately, I would return and give them another chance by picking other menu items and another smoothie/shake. Maybe even sit outside, if the weather permits. But for this occasion, it did not meet expectations. The service was a bit slow, despite there only being 4 tables and I believe 2 waiters. Came here for the 3rd time and it was sadly not the same as our very first experience...the service, although welcoming and friendly has gone down. We were not checked on or asked if we needed anything else. The food quality has also decreased, I ordered the mixta atomic burger lettuce wrapped and it was beautifully wrapped in lettuce but dry and flavorless...I ate about half until I was done. I kept the adding their special and tbt sauce on it and still wasn't enjoyable. Note: We also weren't asked how we want our burgers cooked but they were super well done...the chicken patty was also dry and lacked flavor. I sipped on my son's brownie shake and it was ok, things just seemed to have change pretty quickly in the short time they've opened. In GOOD news, the yuca fries and tostones gratinados were delicious. My fiancé also enjoyed his cherry lemonade. They were great when they opened. Seating is terrible now. The entire place can be empty and you have to sit where they want you to. And not accommodating with the food. You have to order what they have limited to their hours. Don't come in at 3:15 and ask for an egg on your burger because it's not going to happen because it's after 3. I regret since they opened giving them so much business even tho O they are overpriced. The service is not the same. After spending 30 mins at a table and asking for an egg on my burger, they refused. I paid $12 for 2 waters and a can of Diet Coke that we could not finish drinking. read more

Yes, yes, yes. This decor has been seen before, HOWEVER, not as thought out or spectacular as here! Don't let the rather tacky signage turn you off, this place is just beautifully crafted. And yes, there's actually off-street parking! Staff is friendly and will go the extra mile to please. There are tons of burger options and all are HUGE. Try it out, it's got pancakes on the menu. Just wish their outside signage would have been more appealing. It took us a while to decide to try it out. It's well worth it. Close to Hoboken. Parking is available. The location is an old bank and they kept the vault :) which I think was a good call. My husband and son got us takeout from here and it made me so sad how terrible the burger was. It tasted like a burger that someone who's never had a burger would make. It's a super cool space for a restaurant, but instead of a burger place made by people who don't eat burgers they should turn it into a beer garden or a cool family restaurant that coincides with the food that the owners grew up on. We'd been scoping out this and the Cu Ban restaurants under construction for months and months. This side of town could really use a lot of life and energy infused into its food scene, so we were eager for a burger joint to open, and for late night eats. We went on the day the doors opened. The renovation from a tired Wells Fargo into a hip, brightly colored eatery was fabulous. The kitchen is open concept and the art work, lighting and furniture are modern with an inviting flair. The menu is expansive with American burgers with Latin infusion. Think a burger w tostones instead of fries and arepas instead of burger buns. The possibilities are endless. There are batidos of all flavors and tres leches for dessert. Perfect blend of culture and a straight up burger joint. The food was solid for a quasi-fast food space. It's super new so they get many passes on working out production and line kinks. Albeit new and novel, the staff were attentive and kind even though menu items were missing and there were a few hiccups. It wad FINE and I'm sure will be worked out in time. I loved sitting in the space and that alone would keep me coming back. They have a brunch so I want to try that too. The only downside is valet... like...WHY?!?! Why am I paying someone to park my car in an empty parking lot w 0 cars in there and I can park 50 steps from the door w 0 issue? That's so irritating. It's a cheap burger place; why are we wasting money to have someone park the car? That to me is a huge deterrent to returning. Otherwise check it out. Inside is marvelous. Finally made some time to try out this new addition to my neighborhood. It's in the old wellsfargo building so they have parking which is nice. The inside is spacious and nicely decorated. I started with a frozen coconut lemonade, DELICIOUS! I love coconut lemonade, but a lot of places don't get it right, here they make it perfect. I got some fries to start because I came starving. They were ok, nothing special. I do like the variety of sauces they have available. I like Colombian fast food but typically only for a late night craving, so I was really happy that this place has other options on the menu. I ordered the churrasco parrillada which came with salad or rice , an arepa, and another side. The little arepa really suprised me! Usually anytime these come in my meal they are hard and inedible. I've never understood why people eat them. THIS arepa was so fluffy and tasty, it really redeemed them for me. I got sweet plantains and rice. The rice was hard and either old or undercooked. It came with a chimichurri and garlic sauce, both really good. The steak with out the sauce lacked a bit of flavor but the sauce helped a lot. Steak was cooked perfectly and was a big portion. I got an Oblea for dessert, to end my meal. The wafer was crunchy and I got all of the fillings. The only thing it was missing was some chocolate. Overall had a really great experience and my waitress was very attentive. I look forward to coming back and trying other items. read more

Tasty food and friendly service. A little understaffed, we waited quite a bit to get our food. Manager then came and gave us free empanadas as they seemed to have had a kitchen issue. This is one of a number of new places that have opened up on either side of Park Avenue in the last few years. New eateries are definitely welcome. But they do need to meet a minimum of standards. Please. So after returning from a show in the city my companion and I decided to stop in for a bite. He had a been here once before and enjoyed a quick casual meal recently. The restaurant occupies the former Wells Fargo bank building. There is an open kitchen and the dining area is large and attractive with high ceilings and colorful decor. But I noticed that the place was nearly completely empty and this can sometimes be a bad sign. There is a hostess station and we were simply waved away to seat ourselves. We were soon given menus which featured a number of burgers and some Cuban regulars, lots of juice concoctions and desserts. While perusing the menu I noticed that many items had a fifty cent addition for charge orders. Since a charge is only run once per check this seems like a pretty blatant ripoff. Not cool. Jon ordered a burger and I got an arepa con carne desmechado. Our order didn't take long to be served. Jon's burger was large (but to my eye way over done.) The fries looked ok but why wasn't a fork provided? Don't ask me. My arepa was well filled, warm and crispy but didn't come as promised, missing the pretty little quails egg promised on the menu. After a bite I realized that I was given chicken and not beef. How the order was screwed up I cannot imagine considering we were the only diners in the place. I did point this out to the waiter and the cook offered to make me another sandwich but I declined. The chicken was tasty. However, after working my way to the middle I thought I had hit a small bone which turned out to be a toothpick! This was a very unwelcome and potentially dangerous addition. At one point I decided to try the variety of sauces which come in plastic squirt bottles in a cute little basket. One was just ketchup. One was mayo. One was combo of ketchup and mayo and one tasted like a reduction of sweet lemon soda. Ugh. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the music which, for the most part, was unobtrusive but at one point included contemporary hip hop prominently, loudly and repeatedly featuring the f-word! This would be wildly inappropriate for any ordinary restaurant but the only other customers here had been a young family with, as I recall, three or four very young children! The efficient but unattractive service, the mediocre food, the accumulation of errors add up to a pretty poor experience. With all the great new eating choices on Park Avenue I won't be returning here. read more

Went on a saturday for lunch, no wait. The menu was on tablet, which was kinda confusing, for ex: it had both lunch and dinner menus but did not specify the days and times for lunch specials. Another ex: the menu doesnt specify that you choose # of sides. The tiny sauces on the table was medicore and there were no ketchup for the fries...The burgers were overpriced for what it is and not memorable at all. They dont even have water and charge by the bottle so it just felt like a sit down take out place more. This was more expensive than bareburger and the shakes were small. read more

15 for the waffle tower and I have to say this was probably the most average thing I have ever eaten I think the fruit had more flavor than the actual waffles themselves. I got a chance to look at the other food there and it looked better but charging 15 for basic waffles with no filling or flavor except drizzled whip cream is not it. read more

Bad service. Food is meh, based on the one time I went there. Was really excited to try this place shortly after it opened since I'd seen them renovating it for awhile. First thing that stood out to me - the vibes are all over the place. It's a "burger" spot but they treat it like it's a nicer sit-down restaurant. Ok cool but you can't push that narrative -AND THEN- also have bad service. I asked if I could order something to go but the first waitress I spoke to didn't speak any English and didn't seem interested in trying figure out what I wanted. In fact, none of the several people on the staff I spoke to did, so after a long bout of pointing at the menu and pantomiming, I finally got it across that I wanted a burger, fries, and a shake. Even if we didn't speak the same language, isn't this order common? Haven't you seen people order to go before? It's not even the non-english speaking part that bothered me; I knew where I was, after all. It's the lack of interest in solving the issue. After what seemed like a long time, especially considering how few other customers there were at the time, the burger wasn't cooked to my liking and was pretty bland & mushy. The milk shake was half filled with melted m&ms. not really my thing and would've been nice to at least have seen it noted on the menu that they prepare it this way.
