Visiting my cousin in Lex, we decided to check this place out. It was a Tuesday which meant free pinball! We played a few different machines, they were all so different. We grabbed 2 beers and then hung out at the tables near the fun colored TVs. This place was chaotic in the best way! The crowd was a random mix. The vibe was early 90's for sure. Went here and was charged $28 per drink. I ordered 6 drinks total for my partner and I, my bill was $168. I was shocked when I saw the total! I wish we were told the drinks were more than triple the drinks on their craft cocktail menu (they are all are around $9) and almost quadruple the amount we were charged for the same drinks the night before. For context, we ordered double Milagro & sodas (a whole bottle of Milagro costs $30 at the liquor store!) I contacted ownership/management to confirm the pricing of the drinks (maybe I was mischarged?), they emailed back saying they would look into it and one month later I still haven't heard anything back. I'm writing this review to warn people to maybe ask what the price of a drink is before ordering because I think the bartenders just charge whatever they want. The price discrepancy between the two nights we were there was insane! OR maybe that is the price for a drink at The Burl (and it's an insanely expensive arcade bar), but in that case an email back from the owners/managers would've been appreciated. read more

Drinks are reasonably priced and there's games...who doesn't love a good arcade game? Be sure to grab a pic by the cool TV wall while you're there. I don't even like video games and I love the Burl Arcade. I read about this place on Yelp a couple months ago, thought my husband would love it, bookmarked it, and finally surprised him with a brief trip to the Burl one weekend after a month ago. Easy to miss, the arcade is tucked away in an industrial area down near an overpass. Small parking lot between two buildings: one is the Burl (for music, etc.) and the other is the arcade. Inside, there is a bar (appeared fully stocked) near one end of the building. The other end of the building has a couple skeeball games, and a large wall of televisions playing old movies, along with a few televisions hooked up to old-school video games available for play. In between the two ends of the buildings are about 3 rows of old school arcade games. I've always enjoyed pinball, so I was delighted to see some pinball machines. Husband was in love with the place and promptly began to play. I thought it was neat. Our son was overwhelmed but really enjoyed the skeeball game (even though he didn't quite grasp it). Skeeball is $.25 per game, other games in the building are also priced low. You can easily come here for a drink, some games, and conversation any time of day. What a fun place to pop into from time to time! Lots of old school arcade games and a bunch of pinball machines along with a few skee ball lanes and a big Connect 4 game. Adults and children were both there on a snowy winter Sunday afternoon which may be why it was only mildly busy. I'm not sure how the traffic is normally, though. They have what appears to be a fully stocked bar if you'd like to enjoy some beverages as you hang out and the games were pretty inexpensive at $0.25 to $0.50 to play. Of course, if you haven't brushed up on those old school video games, the replay costs add up quickly! Hahahaha! As always happens to games, some are out of order but with the number of games they had, only a couple were broken so that's not bad! Pretty cool place and definitely worth a visit if only for nostalgia's sake. read more

My husband and I went here for a date. It's a cheap way to pass time and have fun. Lots of retro games and pinball machines. Staff was polite and were able to break change for us. There's an ATM inside as well to withdraw money and another to get coins for the games. The only downside is that several of the games eat your coins. REVIEW FOR KISMET: Went on Sunday night around 9:30pm for a late dinner. Waited a bit for service but the guy who helped us was friendly. Waited about 20 minutes for food so we got drinks--I got lemonade (which the bartender said she rarely makes) and my partner got a beer. Food was sooo good! Strangely good for a late Sunday night dinner but I'm glad we went. I had the garlic noodles with pork belly (a bit crunchier than I expected) and my partner got the Cubano which was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the Kismet Cookie--crunchy cookie with a lingering flavor I couldn't place. Try the food for yourself and play hit or miss with the dessert. read more

The burl and the arcade are giving me liiiife during this pandemic. They have found a way to do contactless ordering by providing virtual menus and online ordering. I got to see live music and never had to leave my seat to order - I clicked on the $5 mojito (yes, that's right) and it was brought to me within a couple of minutes! They also serve food now and the burgers are AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend this place ... they really enforce the mask wearing when you're up from your table, so you don't ever feel at risk. read more

So fun! If you love skee ball, this is your place! $.25 per game. It would be so fun if they put the tickets in the machine even if it were just for fun - I used to LOVE accumulating the tickets. Always wanted to try an arcade bar and this one was pretty good! It was awesome playing the old video games plus skeeball and pinball. Pinball and a couple others cost 50 cents to a $1 to play but everything else was 25 cents. The wall of TVs was especially neat too. Besides all the video games there is also a full bar too. The Burl Arcade is tucked away on Manchester, across from the Distillery District. While I'm not a fan of these video games, I was excited to see skeeball in the corner, a childhood favorite on the boardwalk. There's a small bar at one end and a wall of old TVs on the other, not on at the time of my visit. If you're an arcade buff, you'll probably enjoy a stop here to test your gaming skills. I attended a Creative Mornings event at The Burl across from the arcade so I can't speak for it as a music venue. read more

A fun and interesting bar in Lexington. Everyone loves old school arcade games. There's pretty much every single one here. There's even skee-ball! They have cheaper drinks as well. Also, for beer lovers, there's a great selection. While it is fun, the bartender when we were there wasn't very friendly. We had a large party since one of our coworkers was moving. This is one of my favorite bars in Lexington. Pinball is $1 a play, some arcade games are .50 the rest (including my fav) skee ball are .25 a play. They have a full bar, draft local beer and some beer in a can. They also have throwback consoles -- including Super Nintendo, and Xbox--- as well as board games like battle ship to play.
