My husband wanted to watch the UFC fight and so he bought tickets at Lex Live. We have never watched a fight on a big screen like that so it was really game changer. The seats reclined and were heated! We also found out you could buy food and bring it in, so we ordered some wings and a burger at the bar and took it on up to our auditorium. This review is only for the sports bar. The rest of the facility might be cool, but the sports bar is not. The setup is neat with a ton of TV's, but they weren't showing the most popular games. For example, there was a top college basketball game on ESPN and they were showing college wrestling instead. The bartenders were awful. Cheese curds were not hot, I only had one chip. I had salad and the lettuce was brown. The burgers they got were not cooked how they asked. Lex Live is a massive complex that has pretty much anything you are looking for. I bet it gets packed for UK games or other big events. We went on an off day so wasn't too crowded. We went bowling which was fun. The food was your standard bar fare. Not elevated in any capacity. The wings were undercooked and could have used a little more time to get crunchy. The cobb salad was ok. The flatbread pizza's were decent but they also needed a little crunch. It is a fun place and great for kids too since they have an arcade. I would come back. read more

We came for bowling with the kids after cheer competition so they could let out some energy. The adults payed for bowling and moved a large group of us to an empty table next to some guys eating. In all honesty, my wife walked in with a can beverage and the manager quickly, and appropriately asked her to let him throw it out. That's fine, but he said nothing about offering her a drink in replacement or that a host would be needed to be seen to get service. Now, if you order at the bar, they will walk food and drink past us to the bowling lanes, but because we sat without asking, we would not be served. 14 adults for food and drink. "We don't serve self-seaters," the Director of Operations stated. So, we approached the hostess, and inquired about getting service where we are already sat, near the bowling area and our children. They told us they closed the back section (the one with the guys eating next to us) and they could only offer us two tables, not connected to accommodate the 14 of us and not anywhere close to the bowling where our children are. Again, the Direct of Operations came over to try to tell us to move and see the hostess, to which I informed her that we will wait for the kids to finish bowling and leave to somewhere else that would accommodate our party. When asked to get a number for their customer service, she declined and said they were "a privately owned company." It really doesn't make any sense to lose out on so much opportunity for weekend income from out of towners looking to relax and unwind. But they could not be bothered to even make an attempt. read more

this movie theater is just awful. The parking was $25 to park in their parking lot, and they closed all but one entrance so it was practically impossible to get parking. Complained to the manager, she couldn't have been more rude and disinterested. Not the brightest. If you get your tickets online, they charge you a service fee, and the person behind a concession stand, couldn't get our order right. I will never come to lex live again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this movie theater with this kind of parking charge. Much better to go out to Fayette Mall or Hamburg, plus their movie prices are much lower. read more

Movie malfunctioned and we were given a pass with an expiration date on it. A cash or online refund was NOT offered. No good movies of interest had come out since then. Not our fault. I called and spoke with a male manager around 12 noon on 4/26/26. He was very condescending and not very friendly at all. He stated that the recent movie selection and malfunctioning movie were out of their control. It was definitely out of our control. Manager had zero customer service skills. Never gave me his name and hung up on me. I called back and got the same treatment from him. He was rude and talking over me. Please stay away from this poorly run business. We visited LexLive over the weekend during the graduation ceremonies at Rupp. It was pretty crowded, expected, and we waited at the bar. While waiting, a drunk customer was very rude to a bartender, also expected. But in this case, the bartender had no support from the manager who allowed the drinker to remain at the bar and sling insults at the server. Very uncomfortable. We were unable to speak with the manager about assisting the bartender as it was very busy. read more

Kentucky alumna here! Visited Lexington last weekend and spent the afternoon watching basketball at LexLive. Everything from the food to the service (Jazmine and her trainee were fantastic) to the atmosphere were great. Even with an event at Rupp we were able to find parking and get a table quickly. It was so much fun to be there during the tournament and lovely to see UK fans cheer on other teams, even though our team had not advanced. Most impressive was the crowd. You could have heard a pin drop during the national anthem, as everyone respectfully took a minute. But once it was over the crowd erupted with cheers. Completely heartwarming and reminds me why I love Kentucky. We will definitely try to make our way back there soon. Hopefully, we will get to cheer on Kentucky next time. The movie was great but the parking garage they direct you to park at is supposedly not run by the same company. We have been stuck in the parking garage for about an hour and after going in to speak with someone, we were only told "that is not our garage but here is the phone number of the person who is in charge of it". I called 859-457-7084 as they instructed me and a very upset and unpleasant man told me he was "not in charge of how much the movie theater charges for parking and this is like a food truck line, everyone must pay". The Fat Man and his wife wanted to grab lunch and catch a matinee movie. Lex Live in downtown Lexington allows you to do both. Lex Live Game Day Sports Bar offers several options on its menu: TVs, drinks, and gaming or movie entertainment for the whole family. We started with an order of Blood Orange Habanero boneless wings. The wings were a good size and cooked well, with a nice crunch to the breading. They had a sweetness on the front end with a low but lingering heat on the back end that was not overpowering. There is an excellent tangy orange flavor throughout the entire dish. The wings were coated with a good amount of sauce on them. My wife tried the Lex Live Burger. She ordered it to be cooked medium and fully dressed with pepper jack cheese and sweet potato fries. The burger came with two 4oz patties. Her fries were cooked and seasoned well with a slight crunch. The burger was cooked past medium, dry, and without much flavor. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The brioche bun was stale and too big for the burgers, causing the burger-to-bun ratio to be off. I had the lunch portion, Fish and Chips. This dish has beer-battered cod, fries, tarter sauce, slaw, and lemon. The fries were crispy on the outside, had a soft interior, and were seasoned well. The cod pieces were big and fried to a nice golden brown, flaky inside with a crunchy batter on the outside. They were a little oily, but it was not off-putting. The slaw was very dry, without much flavor. The tarter sauce tastes homemade and goes well with the fish, offering a good balance with the thick batter. A little malt vinegar would have been an excellent addition to the dish. Lex Live Game Day Sports Bar is a large sports bar with several TVs attached to a bowling alley, arcade, Imax, and movie theater. There is also a bourbon bar in the complex. The menu offers several burgers, appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees. The Fat Man says Lex Live Game Day Sports Bar is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin. read more

While visiting our daughter at UK in Lexington a group of parents went to LexLive for pregame drinks and snacks. We were in the sports bar area. The food was pretty good and came out quick after ordering. The place seemed clean and well kept. The downside - the service was terrible. Hard to get a server to pay attention to our table(s) of 12 even though the area was only about 50% capacity. The bartenders acted like the didn't care if they waited on any of us. The waiter was not good. I don't like leaving negative reviews. This place has great potential. But they need some serious service training. We may try it again... maybe. read more

This complex has a movie theater, a bowling alley, and a bunch of space for a sports bar/restaurant. The main attraction is probably the theater. I would agree that it's probably the best large screen in Lexington (though not IMAX). I'm not a fan of the leather seats, though the reclining and heating is okay. The price isn't crazy expensive. Finding a movie worth watching is a challenge, of course, so it's hard to know whether the largely empty theater I experienced is attributable to anything specific this place is doing. I'm not that hopeful for the future of the industry. The bowling alley underground is fine, the food that I tried is okay. The people who work here seem mostly to be kids, and the place has a pretty generic vibe as if the customers are mostly just settling on something easy and convenient, but at least it's clean, nice, and has some things to offer. read more

We went to see a movie which was showing at 230 we got there at 245 and we were still able to go to that showtime . We paid 21.00 for two people . The woman at the ticket counter was super friendly and so were the people at the concession stand . There is a kids snack pack for 5.75 which includes a drink, popcorn and candy The seats in the theater are heated and can recline as well . I have to say that they are pretty comfy . As for the rest of the building we could see the entrance to the bowling alley and we could see the two bar areas on the main floor plus we saw the bar area upstairs as well. Since we live downtown Lex Live is convenient to walk to when we want to see a movie or go bowling . (Not that bowling is my jam because they all end up in the gutter !). But they do have other games to play just in case bowling isn't your jam either . read more

On a recent road trip with my college best friend we stumbled across LexLive and it was just what we needed. Lots of sports to watch while he and I took advantage of their 1/2 price appetizers special. So for dinner we just ordered 4 apps and split them. The potato skins were solid and just what you want when you order them. The cheeseburger sliders were again solid and exactly what you would expect. The BBQ pork spring rolls were my least favorite, but still really good. My buddy liked them quite a bit more than I did, so it was just a matter of subjective taste. Finally, we got the Nacho Stack with pulled pork. It was very good, but we could barely put a dent in it. All-in-all, if I pass through Lexington again I will for sure consider returning. read more

Came here after the UK vs WKU basketball game, the place was absolutely packed. I can imagine it's equally packed on the weekends as well. There is a lot of things to do here like watch a movie in one of their movie theatres, go bowling using one of their bowling alleys, play games in their arcade room, but my favorite activity of all is to eat, drink, and watch games on their big screen. When my friend and I arrived, there was about a 30min wait, so we decided to grab a drink at the bar in the meantime. Unfortunately, all the bar seats were taken up, so we ordered drinks from the bar and grabbed a nearby, unoccupied table to sit and talk at. I first had a long island iced tea, made fabulously and deliciously by the bartender Devin. After our table was finally ready after about 45mins, I then had their lime margarita. Unfortunately, the margarita was not the greatest and I actually had a hard time finishing the drink, but what made the experience so much better was their margarita pizza!
