HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We walk in, sit down. We wait for water, none. And we never got it at all. The food was also terrible. My two dinner mates ordered eggs Benedict and the muffin was burnt to a crisp, they send it back.. and the manager or owner who ever she is.. yelling across the room to us saying, "well it's taking a long time because we had to remake the whole thing!" THEN, by the way I'm done with my meal, I'm sitting patiently whilst they eat and she runs over and asks, "Are you waiting on something?!" Anyways even more events that were very shocking.. the food wasn't good. Service here is beyond chaotic and there is a weird WET DOG SMELL on the dishes, cups and air. Maybe it's because I'm from Texas and we know how to actually behave with customer service and New Yorkers are something else but.. all in all don't even waste your time read more

I've given this place 4 tries! As it's close. Two of 2 times the people that worked there were friendly. The first time I went and ordered a turkey and swiss wrap, I arrived home with shredded brown lettuce and turkey on wrap. Nothing else. No swiss!, mayo, mustard, or any condiments included. No tomato as listed on wall menu. This time I got an apology and some swiss cheese, they had just converted from Bushwick Bagels. They had just re-opened. For $9.95 better spent elsewhere. I avoided the place due ridiculous prices for awhile. Their prices are so outlandish, I lived in the heart of Williamsburg, Bedford Ave, Brooklyn: and never saw $11.95 for a chicken quesadilla, I received with dried out chicken, avocado, and sour cream served on the side in containers the size of a quarter. It was after 11pm on a Tuesday night, nothing open, when I decide to pay $11.95 or a chicken quesadilla. So, this was my 2nd visit, I went back and the waitress asked for more cheese and gave me more sour cream and avocado. Third time, was sick over weekend and ordered for delivery. Extra cheese on quesadilla, extra sour cream, and extra avocado. Also ordered what appears to be canned chicken noodle soup for 7.95! Order totaled over $40.00 with tip. Quesadilla chicken was dry, barely any cheese, and again two quarter size containers, one of avocado, the other sour cream. Today I went in and told them what happened, the rude counter-person says she has nothing to do with online orders, but mentions Post-Mates, the service used without my telling her where the order came from. I did add a positive, telling her there was a lot of chicken.Without apology she asked me to move until I decided on my order, referred me to menus on counter. I looked at menus and of course there is an option for a regular cheese quesadilla at $10.95, one dollar less. I decided on this, as I had all this dry chicken at home I figured I'd order a plain cheese quesadilla. I stepped up to order and said, "I'll have a cheese quesadilla, this time you may leave the sour cream/avocado on, perhaps I'll get more." She then screams "you still get the same amount!" I say,"fine I'll pay extra for it." She says, "ok, so chicken quesadilla with extra sour cream/avocado", I reply, "no just a cheese quesadilla with extra avocado/sour cream." She screams we don't have that! look at the menu above on the wall! I say I'm holding your menu and it says "cheese quesadilla $10.95, add chicken, beef, veggies $11.95." I look at the wall and tell her it says the same thing. She says she's refusing to serve me because I won't like anything, and something about the sour cream/avocado, I remind her I was willing to pay extra. Then ask to speak to a manager, she says she is the manager. So I was refused service for ordering a cheese quesadilla. Really one of the most ridiculous restaurant experiences I have ever had. If the place wasn't 2 doors down from me it wouldn't have gone this far. Also they are the only American style diner for blocks. They know it and they charge for it! Avoid like the plague, the bagels are overpriced as well. Everytime I've ordered delivery it's a 2 hour process! I live 3 doors down from restaurant! read more

Literally the absolute worst service area. Sucks because there isn't much for breakfast options with table service. The staff is incompetent, slow and rude. Do yourself a favor and eat at home. read more

Well, I was really hoping to like this place, but it was actually rather surprising just how terrible the food was. For starters, the only real vegetarian option was a veggie burger. It was one of those frozen, garden burger patties. I asked for it on wheat bread, which came toasted to the point of being so hard and dry that it literally turned to dust in my mouth. The accompanying fries had been frozen for god knows how long and tasted like oilly nothingness. My pal got eggs and home fries, which I tried (I had ordered home fries, too but fries arrived instead). They can only be described as mostly mushy, slimy, and somewhat flavorless. My other friend got pancakes, which were actually pretty good, if that's your thing. All in all ... nope. read more

The only thing worse than my wilted dry salad was the customer service. The waitress packed my food to go and when I asked for extra dressing gave it to me reluctantly. She never asked if my food was to stay or to go instead assumed it was to go... my guess is so she working have wait my table. I'll never be back it was a lousy $10 salad and I tipped 20% out of habit...before I received my food... read more

This place is horrible, especially for a first timer. I felt the service was a disgrace, especially if the owners condone this level of service. It was like they did not want to serve Black people, which if that is the case, then say it and we will be gone! They have terrible work ethic, lie constantly to you and have rude customer service. I walked out along with my friend after they served customers seated after us first, which made us leave. Glad we didn't eat in that place. read more

I'm not really sure why this place gets bad reviews. I ordered it on DoorDash. Everything was really good. The Mac and cheese bites are amazing!! The French toast is delicious too. I would definitely eat here again when I'm back in town read more

The food is just okay but whoever is taking orders over the phone is really rude for no reason. I could feel animosity over the phone even though I was respectful the whole time. Makes me wonder if she'll ask the delivery person to spit in my food. Not calling again. read more

Nice ambience and clean, nice staff , decent enough menu but very slow and disorganized/ badly managed diner. Never had a single order done right or delivered entirely. Last time I waited 30 mins for a pickup. Half the order was not there, the other half was not done as per instructions. There was one instruction - please go easy on the cream cheese AKA light schmear. This was not done. There was spoonfuls of cheese oozing out as soon as I held the wrap. Remaining order was delivered proactively after I called and complained. Person on the phone only asked if I wanted it delivered, did not say sorry or anything but The delivery man apologized for the mistake and was friendly. Overall my advice is this a spot best enjoyed, in person. Their delivery game and working-at-speed game, is not tight. read more

The male cashier is very rude. I ask him if he has change for a dollar. Because you need to pay to use bathroom. The food had not seasoning and over cook. read more

This restaurant is all over the place. I'm giving them 4 stars because I WANT them to succeed. Over the past year they've undergone 3 or 4 name changes and some major decor changes. I think their biggest issue is that they don't know who they want to be. For the longest time, they were doing great as a bagel and coffee spot. But maybe this wasn't lucrative enough so they've tried to become a trendy New American place. But they're still very confusing, as it's presenting itself as a sit-down restaurant, yet they still have a drink fridge, coffee bar with milk and sugar, and cash register to order from. I get that they want to cater to people on the go as well as folks looking for a more traditional meal, but they're straddling both worlds in a confusing way. Their quality is also such a gamble from visit to visit (once a month or so). So please, just pick a lane and stick to it. And stop changing your name so much. Best of luck. read more

Good food but just the woman working Monday night was rude and her attitude was not the best... I usually come here and always the experience is great. I think just was the girl. They now have a $10 credit card minimum - be warned, they are not at all lenient. My order came to $9.56, and was asked to purchase something was to use my card. My experience today past that has been nothing but disappointment. My simple order of an egg bagel with cheese and ham came out with no ham and the wrong type of bagel. I asked them to fix it since mistakes to your order are a commonplace here. It came back so fast that I knew it was thrown together on a new bagel. The cheese was not melted and the bagel was not toasted. Lack of care in my food prep.. On top of it all - the bagels are not that good anymore. If you're looking for bagels, The best bagels in the area are served at milk & pull! Not sure where they get them from but they're made with love. read more

There as a last resort. That late night last minute type of spot. They have breakfast all night long! Food is decent. Waitresses are about as enthusiastic as teenagers working the midnight shift can be. Yea they just don't care. The owner is an authentic Brooklyn guy who's sweet and loves his regulars. Can't say I won't be back. Hope the service gets better. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. ENDED UP SPENDING $40 ON AN OVERPRICED BREAKFAST FOR TWO WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD THAT MADE US SICK. The first time I went, the place was pretty empty, the service was pretty good, and the food was tasty. Went again and it was ridiculously bad. As soon as we show up they're a little busier, but still had a good amount of tables open and we followed another couple that seated themselves since there was no staff or sign by the door to tell us otherwise. Once we sit after a few minutes, a nice waitress shouts over that she'll be there to help us in a minute (totally fine cuz they were busy, we didn't mind at all). Another waiter comes to take our order...chewing gum...doesn't greet us...takes our order...doesn't repeat it or ask any specification questions (how do you want your eggs, etc). Then another waiter comes and gives us water, drops a filled cup on our table and us (again accidents happen and at least it's just water) but gave a half ass apology and was laughing. Then we get our food from yet another waiter and its incorrect and they hadn't brought us silverware or napkins yet. At this point we don't even know who our waiter actually is to ask for silverware and to refill our coffees and waters that sat there empty. We got the silverware, then finally asked two random waiters and one of them brought us refills and then proceeded to clear the table right in front of us before even asking if we were done. Got our bill and they overcharged us for two items... Icing on the cake...my boyfriend threw up when we got home and my stomach was off all day and then next morning. A shame because the place is cute and has a lot of potential, but will not be going back to a place that made us sick and stressed us out sitting there because the service was that terrible. Truly never felt the need to write a bad review before and I feel bad about it cuz it seems like some staff is really trying, but this was well deserved... read more

The order I was delivered on Christmas was not what I ordered. They refused to make it right unless I paid for another meal, no refund, no meal, just pay more for more questionable service. i had the chorizo and jalapeño burrito and it was delicious! this burrito, chased by coffee, is one of the best flavors in the vicinity.the servers were super kind and helpful. received free refills of coffee and water. the bathroom was very clean. the music was poppy and upbeat and kept the rhythm going, though i think a chiller vibe would fit the place better. thank you read more

I've had better bagels in upstate NY. Didn't ask for an egg bagel, but I got an egg bagel. This bagel must have been sitting out for AT LEAST 24 hours, it was like trying to chew cardboard. Good afternoon everyone at Bushwick Diner I have a complaint. There is a female server that works at this establishment with the worst attitude I've ever seen in my life. I come here with my partner all the time- it's a really good option for a reasonably priced, well-portioned comfort meal. This establishment is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I placed an order for delivery through UberEats and a part of my order was missing. I ordered a French toast platter which charged me extra for bacon. Fine. When I get the order the bacon is missing and the female on the line has the nerve to tell me she packed it herself and the bacon is in the platter. MISS!! I am looking at the platter, moved everything around, there IS NO BACON. She basically had the nerve to accuse me of lying. Why in the HELL would I lie about two pieces of bacon missing!?! YOU messed up, it's fine, you're human, but can you please give me the refund on the fee for the bacon I didn't receive? With her nasty attitude, she basically said no. So fck me because YOU made an error right? NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN! There is ZERO professionalism! Good luck if you order and items are missing. It's basically a lost cause. Smh! read more

I've never taken the time to write a review in my life but my experience here was unreal. We didn't receive half our order after asking 2 times (it happens we weren't concerned about it). When we receive our meals my boyfriend and I were asked to GET UP and move tables so 2 parties that walked in could sit next to each other. The waitress then stared at us while we carried our own meals, water, coffees, backpacks and coats to a new table. Didn't offer to help, legitimately just stared at us. As were asking for the bill they ask if we still wanted our side dishes (?). The waiter gave us a dirty look and walked away when we said no thank you. Keeping our cool the entire time, we received NO apology or acknowledgment of our horrible service. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this place read more
