Happened to be in the area and noticed it was the spot I saw on TikTok so I decided to give it a try. Staff was warm and welcoming. I decided on the goat curry small a la carte entree. ($10). It was good but there were pieces with cartilage that made it hard to chew. It also needed some more seasoning but it was still pretty good. I was hoping to try the tandori chicken wings, but they weren't available. I'd say give them a try. read more

I love Indian food and this place did not disappoint. I was just driving by and thankfully made it just before they closed. I ordered the butter chicken with basmati rice and garlic naan. Also got spinach saag paneer. I was skeptical since it was so near closing time and I was getting what was left at the end of the day, but everything was delicious. The rice was fresh and cooked perfectly. The butter chicken was tender and the sauce was flavorful and just spicy enough. The spinach was bright and seasoned just right. It's exactly as I expected. It's kinda like Panda Express but Indian food. It's was all tasty and great pricing. I think the portions were generous. Great for take out. Rating is isn't exactly warm and cozy, but similar to a Panda Express. It works just not a restaurant vibe. If you want a sit down experience, go to their parent restaurant, I think it's called Taj Mahal. The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. I had driven past this place a few times and told my husband we should check it out. We went on a weekday evening and were the only ones there the entire time we spent there. The food is all prepared and you just order it at the counter and take it to a table. There are some items always on the menu and a few that they rotate. The gal behind the counter was friendly and helpful when answering our questions. There was a slight language barrier, but not too bad. We chose our meals and sat down. The portions are generous! We each had enough leftover for another meal. I had the butter chicken and it was just okay. It wasn't very flavorful. My husband had the goat saag and said it was pretty good, but very greasy. I like samosas but I did not like the one we had there. We also ordered garlic naan and there was no flavor at all. All of the food was warm and should have been hot. There are so many good Indian restaurants in the area, so I don't think we'll be going back. A few people I know said they liked it, so maybe you'll want to go there! read more

I finally got to try this spot after driving past it all summer. The butter chicken was really good. Not spicy at all and the sauce was nice and creamy. I ordered it in the #1 combo so it came with basmati rice which was nicely flavored. The naan was also really good. It all tasted like wonderful comfort food. It was served hot and was large enough to save half for lunch the next day. They have a lot of cool fusion options that might be good for a next visit. It would be nice if they had descriptions of the items so that you could be more informed of what everything is. I'm not that well versed on Indian food. They really need to work on the menu and communicating with customers how it works. Online ordering doesn't match what is on the menu and the menu doesn't describe what is available in the store. Apparently I learned that any entree can be ordered in store if you are willing to wait 10 mins for it, but the online ordering system didn't allow entrees to be ordered. A handful of the entrees will be offered on the buffet line if you are in a hurry and need a meal to go fast. These items are rotated, but there is no documentation as to which items will be available on which days. I noticed on my way out there was a sign on their marketing truck in the parking lot advertising a $9 box lunch. Had no idea that was an option either because it wasn't mentioned in the store or on the menu. Menu just has Indian names of dishes without an explanation of what it is. I like Indian food, but haven't had a lot of it, so I had to Chat GPT stuff before I came so I knew what I was getting. I ended up getting #2 combo that comes with 2 entree choices, rice, and naan bread. I got the regular basmati rice, butter chicken, chicken korma, and garlic naan bread. The butter chicken was absolutely fantastic! I will definitely get this next time. So rich and creamy and flavorful. The chicken korma lacked flavor and wow for me. Fantastic addition to stellar Indian food options in the Chesterfield area. This place offers to make American style fast food with a Desi twist. They have a solid butter chicken sandwich. This is a handy concept - compact menu with several remix (fusion) options, but the main draw for us was the combo meal. It's one or two entrees, rice (or vegetable pulao for $1 more), and naan. There is always butter chicken, and then about 5 other options that rotate weekly - so you don't have to worry about getting bored. The wife got the smaller combo meal, and I went with the two entree option. Entrees were all mild, which is good for someone like me that like Indian flavor but not necessarily the heat. Butter chicken was pretty standard, except that I would have preferred larger pieces of chicken vs. the more sliver-like pieces they served. My other entree was a lamb choice. I don't remember the name, but I liked it quite a bit. Had a good mix of bright flavors. The wife went with vegetarian butter chicken. And I have to say that it was better than the regular option. Pieces were larger, and had a nice, meaty texture. The basmati rice was pretty good, again standard. My vegetable pulao was a nice improvement for $1 more - think vegetable biryani. The combo also comes with 4 pieces of naan, pretty generous. If you're a garlic lover, you can get garlic naan for $1 more. I do like garlic, but sometimes garlic naan is soooo garlicky that I can't enjoy it - so I passed. The combo sizes are very generous. They were really heavy in the takeout bag. The wife could only eat (less than) half of hers. Pro tip: Order the two entree combo for only $3 more ($15 vs $12) and split it with someone. The two individual entrees are each about 2/3 the size of the smaller combo, and the rice is probably 1 2/3 as much as the smaller combo. A $3 chai was also a good deal. Nice & hot, tasted fresh-brewed. It comes unsweetened, which is how the wife likes it. I like mine sweetened, and the worker tells you it's unsweetened so that you can grab a sweetener packet if desired. We didn't try any of the remix options (sandwich, salad, nachos, gyro, loaded fries - all with butter chicken). So I might have to do that next time. The one-star reviewer has a point - the website does not have a menu even though it says there is. But come on, that was the total basis for that review. read more

The restaurant was quite empty, it did look nice on the inside though. Well decorated. The curry had been sitting out for quite a while and it had a thick crust covering the top. There were flys and all kinds of stuff. We got butter chicken, which looked like it had been somewhat moved around. It tasted pretty flavorless. Wow! This place is phenomenal! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We got 2 combo plates with their famous butter chicken, basmati rice, and garlic naan. We shared an order of malai kofta and cheese naan. Plus I got a chai to go. The butter chicken is famous for a reason, tender meat and a luscious sauce. The rice was fragrant and fresh. The malai kofta was excellent, the sauce was perfectly spiced and so delicious. Seriously it was like eating a warm hug. The naan was hot and fresh. Chai was a lovely finish to a great meal. The owner is a ray of sunshine and you can just tell he loves what he does. The restaurant was clean and bright. We will absolutely be back, hopefully very soon! Even when I go to other Indian restaurants, at least half the time I order my tried-and-true favorite comfort food: butter chicken. So, when the Butter Chicken Spot opened near me, I was excited!! The namesake dish is excellent, and my kids love the butter chicken sandwiches (they have the best French fries in the area). The rotating dishes are equally good - I had half butter chicken and half of a lamb dish the last time we were there and loved them both. The price is right and I will definitely be back - perfect for "don't want to cook" nights.
