And this one did not disappoint. Covered with cream cheese frosting, it almost melted in your mouth. One of the best in the Cities! For our main courses, we had the Crab Cake Benedict and the Damn Good Egg Sandwich. Unfortunately, the sandwich did not live up to its name. Cost is a bit on high side but worth the spurge. Coconut macaroons were the best although sticky buns were also good too. We wished that the egg bake had a mix of vegetables and meat. However, it was good and light not dense at all. Pick up was not too complicated since it was Sunday. Limited street parking but lucked out on Sunday in front of store. Two stops in a row for us is a record! First for lunch, then for breakfast/brunch. This nice bright spot does have a downfall--on weekends when there is a wait, there is not much standing room, but thankfully the standing room they have is right in front of the bakery case, so you really waste no time! They have a great menu, but get ready, nothing is quite as you would expect. First we tried the Cubano. It was delicious, but definitely more of a pulled pork sandwich with pickles, mustard and ham thrown in. It was great either way, just the TBT version. The greens we had added on the side were fresh with a very light vinaigerette. We also added one of the chocolate chip scones. Great flavor! A bit dry for my taste, but I know that is common for scones. The next time we were there we had a that ordered loaded hashbrowns (comes with greens on the side and plenty big enough to share), a tuna melt--which is a warm sandwich, but not really a melt. It's not on toasted bread. Still delicious with a little lemon zest and a side of kettle chips; the huevos rancheros benedict was good, although maybe a little too much chili powder. Still a keeper. Honestly if I only got the coffee and a biscuit with their house made butter and jelly I'd be giving 4 stars. The actual food is somehow very bland. I don't really understand it, even their eggs are flavorless. I've been here twice now and I told myself after the last visit that if I come back here again I will get a black coffee and biscuit and be satisfied. This place is super kid-friendly. They made my grandson and granddaughter feel welcomed and had such a great attitude even when my granddaughter started screaming at the top of her lungs. There is a really cute bakery and cafe called "Taste" it's a Scandinavian bakery that has donuts , macarons , cheesecake , amazing coffe and cafe drinks , cookies that aren't stale and so much more , and most of their items in bakery start at $1.69-$2.00. The other day I got a fried cinnamon maple roll , a brownie , a raspberry danish , AND a maple bacon donut all for $10.36 and it tasted amazing . No shade only facts that TBT is overpriced - you pay for sticky floors and $5 stale cake slices . Prices of eggs being $8 a box at the moment in the US , I thought I'd put everyone on to this amazing little bakery , they're surprisingly busy even in winter which I cannot say the same for this restaurant. I was disappointed, since the reviews were great and I'd never been here before. The eggs were snotty and the meat was all very very dry. I got the biscuits and gravy, the sausage gravy had big chunks of dry meat, my mom had the ham and it was visibly dry and hard to swallow, my wife had the standard breakfast plate with turkey sausage and the sausage was bone dry, and on top of all of that, both mine and my wife's eggs were way undercooked with snotty, goopy egg whites.
