Great atmosphere, good drinks, and excellent service! One of my favorite places to go for concerts in Fairbanks.

Make sure you call a few days ahead to make reservations! They are very busy every day. Wait time is kinda long since they are super busy. Waitress is very nice, not super attentive because they are soo busy, but regardless, she's very nice! Lamb racks are super juicy and tender, definitely a must try here! We wanted to order cream brûlée but they run out, so we had Panna cotta instead! Panna cotta is super creamy and delicious, if you like milky flavor, u must try this!!

We had a large party and tried a lot of things on the menu. I had the vegetable lasagna and it was delicious but not warmed up fully so that would be something to improve in the future. My friends had the oysters and calamari and liked them. A couple of people had the salmon and really liked the sauce that came with it. The special pasta with manila clams was pretty good too. Services great, we were able to flag someone down wherever we needed it. Highly recommend the warm bread with butter, it was delicious and we couldn't get enough! Espresso martini was okay, a bit watered it seemed.

This would have been a five star experience for us had our first two course no been overcooked. We…read morereally liked it in here...great design and atmosphere and lots of good options for vegetarians. We came in after a recommendation from our tour director who knew we liked whiskey and that the Library had a peated whiskey brewed by a distiller from another city we had just been in. We had our shot of peated whiskey as promised and dug it. We were seated at the bar as the place was packed and we didn't have a reservation. We were happy to have the spot as well as to see not only did they have numerous vegetarian options, but they were all clearly labeled on their menu...so food options for us was not a token afterthought and we felt welcome! Unfortunately, I guess because it was so busy, the first two items we ordered took a looooong time to get to us and both were overcooked, like maybe the kitchen forgot they were in process which would explain the delay as well. We tried the Tempura Brussels Sprouts...a special menu item...overcooked...the tempura was a dark brown (tempura batter when cooked properly is a nice light golden brown with a nice light texture and taste to it) and the brussels on the inside were long void of any desirable texture. We also got the regular menu offered Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Flatbread. This was also overdone...gone was any chewiness in the crust leaving us with nothing but hard crunches and a pretty overall rich-tasting dish on top. Normally that would have been enough food for us, but we were only in town for one night and really wanted to try the cheese board...so we did and this was the saving grace of the meal. Served with cheeses, moosetard ground mustard, seasonal organic jam, house pickles, dried fruit, crackers, house baked italian crostini, house olives, this was plenty of food for us, looked really good, and we realized we could have just ordered this and we would have been indulgently full. There are many more vegetarian options in all of the menu categories to choose from, especially the "shareables" section, so vegetarians - show up and you will be well taken care of. We had a great time, also talking with the bartender! If we were ever in Fairbanks again, we'd definitely come back and try more.

I asked her which she preferred between 2 items and instead of giving me her opinion, she told me we're going with the 1st one because I said it 1st. She also seemed annoyed when she came to give me the hot sauce I asked for. The other server was cleaning the table next to me and asked me if I wanted the hot sauce before she put it away. I actually thought my server was going to grab it from that table to give to me, thought that'd be more efficient, but I guess she needed to walk away and do other things 1st before bringing me hot sauce. -C. F. S.: the gravy is good! One of the better ones I've had in quite a bit. The chicken fried steak was crunchy even though it was drenched in sauce. Delicious! I'm surprised that a bread item (was really hoping for a biscuit) didn't come with this dish for being almost $30. - Cajun salmon Benedict: delicious! I thought the salmon was overcooked but it was perfect! Hollandaise sauce was delicious. Not sure how it's Cajun though. The marinated tomatoes were tasty too! I would eat them on their own! Yum!

We…read moreended up getting there about 10 mins early and there were only 3 parties there so we were confused about the response. In any case, we had a great meal and the owners were so friendly. We had the churrasco steak and the halibut Cuban style. The steak sauce has a kick, while the halibut sauce was slightly creamy but also refreshing - olive and lime perhaps? I thought the halibut was overcooked at first but the bottom half was perfectly cooked, so it seem like just the seasoned top was cooked more so. They both came from vegetables and yellow rice that soaked up the sauces well. We also got the flan which is house-made. So good, even better than the entrees. It tasted so 'fresh', don't know how else to describe it. They also had the cheesecake that night and I wonder if that's housemade as well. Wife got the mango juice which is freshly squeezed it seems and I got a bottle of Alaskan white. I do like the arctic warrior draft better but this was decent too.

We made a reservation for a larger group, yet the table wasn't ready when we arrived, and we ended up waiting much longer than expected. For a place that requires reservations, this was frustrating right from the start. The food was just okay--not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. Given our background and familiarity with Latin cuisine, we expected much more in terms of flavor and authenticity, especially considering the high cost of the dishes. The live music, which we were looking forward to, started about 30 minutes late. To make matters worse, when one of the band members didn't show up, the owner asked a member of our family--who happens to be a musician--to step in and play. Not only did this put us in an awkward position, but there was no acknowledgment or discount offered for his time, even though we had other plans to get to. Parking is also inconvenient, with only street parking or paid lot options available. The restaurant itself is very small, which does create a somewhat intimate atmosphere, but it also feels cramped for larger groups. While the owner comes across as friendly, it also felt like there was a strong focus on maximizing profit. There are multiple additional fees listed in very small print at the bottom of the menu--something that should be much more transparent or reconsidered altogether. Service overall was slow, and again, the pricing does not match the quality or experience provided. At this point, I wouldn't personally recommend this place unless there are significant improvements--better service, more consistent food quality, fairer pricing, clearer fee transparency, and better management of their live music arrangements.
