The food was SO GOOD. Every single item was exceptional. Had an omlette. The staff was lovely. Cute and clean.

    Cute spot

Great friendly staff large menu with lots of options quick walk from our hotel. Cute eclectic decor inside!! Stopped by while in Fairbanks looking for a quick breakfast. We loved the chicken and waffles it had a hearty amount of crispy juicy chicken. And home fries. They were fabulous, nice and crispy. We also tried the blackened salmon Benedict. This was the show stopper. Love to try regional food and this salmon came close to my expectations. We had the grapefruit and Pima colada mimosas! Yummy! My favorite was a surprise side dish. I tried the marinated tomatoes and fell in love!!! Give them a try when you visit Fairbanks!

I visited the bar and was happy to find a true gem dive. It's old but clean and super interesting in the bar. It's warm and friendly in the bar area. The bartender was really fun and just the right balance of pleasant and sassy. She shared a couple sample beers with me to help me choose and I found a great beer to go with my sweet chili salmon dinner. The food was excellent. There's a fabulous list of fun food on the menu and you can't make a wrong choice. Get into Salty's and have a great local dining and drinking experience.

Food so yummy we licked the plate clean!

Everything was fantastic!! The service was top notch and the food was eye rolling to the back of your head good!! We went for breakfast and I had cheesy grits with crab cake Benedict! Amazing! Hubby had an extraordinary California Omlet! I meant to take photos but forgot. I should show our just about licked clean plates!

Our Uber driver and the hotel front desk told us if we wanted to eat to head over to this restaurant. Since it was winter and freezing outside we were glad they had floor wall heaters. We went to eat breakfast and didn't have to wait to be seated. They were a bit busy but we ordered a veggie omelet, house potatoes, and a side of sourdough bread. The omelet was delicious especially with the grilled onions.

BLT with the Carolyn Wallace (half fries, half onion rings: brilliant!) and buffalo cauliflower salad NY style.

Came in for lunch because other restaurants we tried were closed for the July 4th weekend. Sat at a high top in the bar because there were several folks waiting for tables in the dining room. Yes it took awhile for our order to be taken but the poor gal working the bar kept checking with us and was doing the best she could. HB said the BLT was "okay" but the onion rings were the best he'd ever had! I had the buffalo cauliflower salad NY style; it came with lots of fresh salad greens, bleu cheese crumbles and nice spicy buffalo style cauliflower.

I really want to give them more than 2 stars, but the service was so subpar I just can't. Four of us stopped in for a late lunch after flying into town. I was a tad worried because of reviews, but thought we would try it anyway. I especially like to support women owned businesses. It took a bit to get a hostess to seat us. Then I tried to ask the hostess a couple questions about the menu because our server hadn't came around, but she said she knew nothing about the menu because she was a hostess. I then asked her if she would send our server in. It took over 10 minutes for server to come to our table after being sat down. We sat in the back room instead of the bar which had more people in it, so maybe we would have had better service if we had sat in there. We ordered the garlic cheese curds, the pork belly tacos, and the chicken strips. All to share family style. The cheese curds were very greasy, but had good flavor. We really enjoyed the pork bell tacos and would order those again. Their homemade guacamole that came on the side was great. The chicken strips and fries were standard and solid. When our server brought our food she only brought tableware and napkins for two people even though we had four. She never came back, so I had to steal some from the server area by the hostess stand. We ran out of water and couldn't find the server for our check. I wish I could say that the service is an anomaly, but reading other reviews, it seems to be an issue. I hope they can get that sorted out, because it would be a pretty good place.

Very upfront that the kitchen was slammed. Regardless, my food came out so quick. The bartender was quick and efficient. My fried chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy and tasted great. Everything was hot and fresh. Beer tasted great. Really couldn't ask for more during a busy Friday lunch rush.

Drinks are always spot on! This is a local favorite and has been on food network a few times! My fav is the BLT- it's on a house made hoagie the bread is to die for! They use the bread for their avocado toast and a few other dishes and their croutons. A lot is made from scratch here and it shows. Locally owned by two baddies. Covid has been difficult for so many restaurants Saltys does their best and has retained cooks for years! My hubs loves the Phillie wrap I've tried to make it at home several times but it's impossible to replicate. Fresh salads and house made dressings. Breakfast is the best in town their holly is amazing and I don't usually like eggs Benny! Large portions, locally owned and women owned! Oooh also if you want some real halibut get the fish n chips it's bomb and most places have switched to cod (gross)

What are the hours that food is served? I see it;s a breakfast/brunch restaurant, but is it served all day? If not, is there some fashion of food served while enjoying an adult libation?

It depends brunch on the weekends is served till two. They have a dinner menu only served during summer time. I'd call and ask them specifically since they are newer and working things out. The brunch was really really amazing both times I've been.… Read more

Unfortunately, when we…read morearrived, I noticed that all the crepes were being placed on the same skillet once finished. That meant egg-based crepes were potentially touching the vegan ones. I asked if one skillet could be wiped down so I could safely order, but they weren't able to accommodate that (it also wasn't very busy at the time, which is why I asked). Because of this, I decided not to risk ordering a crepe. I did end up getting the hot chocolate, which was actually excellent. It was really well balanced, rich, and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Everyone else in my group ordered crepes and loved them, so it's clear the food is good. I just wish there was a bit more flexibility around cross-contact for people ordering vegan options or with dietary restrictions. Based on my personal experience, I would lean toward a 2, but since others really enjoyed their crepes and the hot chocolate was great, it feels fair to land on a 3 for my rating.
