Pros: -The shop is adorably decorated. -The Tres Leche was the best thing we had there. That being said, the flavor was good but texture was a bit gritty. -Customer service was good Cons: -The guava cheesecake was completely gelatinous (not good tbh) -The chocolate cake was meh, it had little icing and it was just not great. Definitely not as moist as I like my cake to be either. I really really wanted to like this place after getting three desserts but to be honest they were just not all that good :/ Maybe we will come back and try something else?

Beautiful chocolate cake with gold accents! Was delicious too!

Ordered my moms Chocolate cake with chocolate filling & frosting last week. We LOVED the cake. It was beautiful & delicious!! I love supporting small businesses that do a great job - will continue to order from here!!

For my wife's birthday I was looking to order a cake and wanted to try the new cake shop apart from the usuals. So i searched near me and I saw that there is a cake shop which offers amazing cakes. So, I went and i was amazed by the decorations that the shop had. They offer different types and flavors of cakes. From the flavor I decided to order the butterscotch cake flavor from the cake shop. I picked up the cake before the eve of my wife's birthday. The service was good. The cake was delicious and it was the perfect butterscotch flavor. Loved the cake as well as the cake shop.

We ordered cupcakes for my son's birthday. Andrea was so sweet and helpful, full of suggestions! We came here after finding out Publix received their cupcakes frozen - gross. I'll be coming here from now on - worth it and also I love supporting small businesses! We brought in Toy Story themed liners and and toppers for the cupcakes, and Andrea was happy to work that into our order. My son also has a dye sensitivity. She was ready with an idea of white icing and adding light sprinkles for the color. The cupcakes were PHENOMENAL! Vanilla and chocolate and each had delicious filling! So moist and full of flavor!

What a cute little cake shop! As soon as you walk in, you see the Very glam and gorgeous chandelier. When you arrive to the counter, there is plenty of goodies to chose from if you're looking for a sweet treat to go or eat there with a coffee. I was there to order a standard small birthday cake and had the option of 2 layer or 3 layer. Definitely a nice option to have as most places only do 2 layers. They have a variety of cake flavors as well as fillings. As I was walking around, I noticed all the other decorative cakes in the refrigerator which looked so good and beautifully created. The details were impressive. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area and nice to have a bakery like this instead of the other chain bakeries in the neighborhood.

This cake shop has so much to offer. I stopped in just to order my girlfriends birthday cake and ended staying for a nice cup of coffee and a spinach strudel. Everything was absolutely amazing and they did a wonderful job on my girlfriends cake. I'm not a huge chocolate person so this cake is the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Everyone loved it.

    Horrible cake job.

Horrible experience when it came to ordering my son's birthday cake. Marcus was the employee to take my order and "try" to answer my questions as this was my very first time doing this. Marcus not only was brief and not specific with his answers but showed me the wrong sizing to the cakes I had asked about, giving me false hope on what the cake would look like. As you can see in the pictures the top layer is 6inches but what was shown in store was a 7in top tier cake and an 8in bottom tier cake. The cake was not proportionate and was started to tilt over. I was extremely upset about this and explained the whole situation to the owner Jean Paul who said that that was the information on the paper and that's what they did. He did not apologize for the horrible cake job or for the incorrect information that Marcus had given me. He basically said that the cake was made with the instructions given. Not only that but I was given a price when I placed the order of 98.00 dollars but when it came time to pay, that price had gone from $98 to $160... Like what? Their only justification for this was because it was a decorated cake... what decorations? There were no decorations on it. This should have been a red flag from the beginning. Being a first time and last time client, Jean Paul did not provide a way of fixing this such as a partial refund for the inconvenience and bad presentation. I'm very upset about their service. I really hope this does not happen to anyone else. Beware of this place!!!!

Tres Leches Cake- OMG. Just go try it!

Such a cute little cake shop! My mother in law ordered my baby shower cookies from here a couple months back and I was intrigued what else they had. What I ordered Guava Cheesecake Tres Leche Creme brûlée The Tres Leche is amazing, so fresh and not complete creme. It was so tasty, I ate half the tray before offering any to my husband of which we got desserts to split, oops! I would come back for this alone. Go try it The Guava cheesecake was simple. The guava pasta topped it, it did have great cheesecake texture however to me it was just simple. I really wanted to hope the Creme Brûlée was going to be bomb, it just wasn't. It had the consistency of soup, and not enough flavor. The shop however had several cake slices, a variety of larger cakes and different menu options like cookies. I would definitely come back but took of a star for not really being consistent through out. The Chance are good that you may find something you truly enjoy, I know I did.

This stuff looks so beautiful until you actually "try" to eat it. I can tell it's been in the case for awhile or that it's frozen but this just wasn't edible. I feel like I wasted my my money. I really can't say much other than the fact that it was terrible.

I will give a round of applause to The Cake Shop. While one of my friends like to rave about their cakes, I was never a big fan... however, that was then; this is now. I will admit that they have improved tremendously from my first visit cake experience. The cake I purchased most recently was for one of my daughters to split with me and I must say that we both thoroughly enjoyed each bite. The soft icing was perfect (not overly sweet, but just right) and the cake itself was moist and fresh. They also have macaroons, cupcakes, and specialty cakes that looked delicious. The interior design is so cute and resembles a swanky dessert shop. My 5 year old told me it reminded her of "Hollywood". We eat a ton of sweet treats so we certainly will be back for more. Two thumbs up!

    The decor is dope

The 4 stars are based on what we tried thus far. This is definitely a hidden gem. My wife and I was looking for some dessert this evening. As we're driving north heading home on Bruce B Down. My wife saw it but didn't say anything and I read her face and asked do you want to stop. I saw you looking at the the cake shop. A quick u turn and they were closed but open up for us. How awesome is that!!! The decor is so elegant with the statement chandelier hanging right above you. It is definitely a game changer for the neighborhood. We were secluded to only a few cakes left, I mean they were closed. But what we chosen taste freaking amazing. Moist and talk about yummy cake. My wife had the Italian rum cake and mine was the chocolate coconut. Definitely worth the stop and the owners are definitely welcoming. So if your ever in the neighborhood it is a must you stop and have some cake with a cup of coffee or tea. For the tea cups are so dope. They also rent out the venue for events which I thought was also great. So we are definitely going back and I know my 4 stars will turn into 5 stars. Kudos to "The Cake Shop" for baking with love and proving that getting the customers in is more important then rushing them out.

The desserts do not disappoint…read more We made a last-minute decision to come get dessert here after dinner. I want to say we arrived about 930, and found out that we were the last table they were going to accept. So make sure you double check what time they will take walk-ins for dessert. I feel like everyone knows this, but just in case the dessert room is all upstairs and each table is in its own private little room. We were right next to the piano player so we got to hear his playing. Otherwise, if you're a little farther away, then you can choose music in your room, but for us, his piano playing would've definitely drowned out. His piano playing was beautiful though, so I'm not complaining. You can pick up a phone and request songs, which we did. For dessert we got the peanut butter truffle and the vintage lush chocolate sundae. We switched out the ice cream in the sundae for the macadamia ice cream. Everything was super rich and delicious. You need to have a major sweet tooth to eat here, because the desserts were punch you in the face sweet. It is Valet only in Valet is eight dollars. They do let you tip with card, which is nice. Service here is fantastic and everyone is dressed to impressed. This is old school Tampa. So don't expect any modern decor. It's all dark woods and velvet feeling. This is definitely an experience that I think everybody would love.

Every detail was thoughtfully curated. Perfection plus! I can't wait to come back.

My personal favourite was the Raspberry Fizz bottle candies, which I believe are from Sweden. They were absolutely delicious and easily the standout candy from our haul.
