I found this restaurant from watching HGTV and decided we will eat there. My thoughts:…read more Customer Service: 10/10 Food: 2/10 I am giving it a 2 out of 10 because the presentation was perfect. However, I've never had any cold chicken and cold hard Jalapeño bread. In my conclusion, the food was yesterday's food. You may ask me how do you know? We arrived at 11:05 to place the order. We got our food at 11:15 which was quick. The chicken was cold. The mac & cheese was semi-warm and my okra was semi warm. You don't get this kind of food if a business opens at 11 AM and you receive your food at 11:15. That's why I am calling it yesterday's food. I wanted to ask so badly for them to just put it in the microwave because I saw it on HGTV and I wanted my food to be really great and I wanted to write a really good review for this business. However, I was highly disappointed. Now I am sure the food is probably hot on Sundays after people getting out of church in the south and all those good things. However, I was disappointed on a Thursday! Highly disappointed! The business is only open 3 hours a day so how could this happen? I am just glad we didn't have to stand in line for an hour and 30 minutes for some cold chicken. And I'll leave it at that!

I am not sure how I have never found this place before now, but I can tell you that everyone else has. This place was packed! Parking was a nightmare. I cut off a cop and stole his parking spot. Yea! Stick it to the man, Adam! Giant community tables full of buffet goers. I wasn't sure if I could find a seat. I was impressed by the size at that point and then realized on the way out there was a whole second floor as well. It is freaking huge! When you pay, there is a little old lady that douses your hands with sprays of sanitizer. I did not care to partake, she did not care, and insisted. We aren't buddies. You can see the stank face she gave me. I don't care though, hater gonna hate. The buffet is rich with country foods. I was in love from the jump. Fast moving buffet food is my jam. They had all the things I like and tons of other things you folks like. I made two trips, I barely got most of the second down so I didn't get to enjoy dessert. That's ok, I like protein way better than sweet things. Thank you Allah for statin drugs! I had all the fried things! Fried chicken livers are some of my faves, especially if there is mashed potatoes and gravy involved. The fried chicken itself was great. Hell it was all good. I see why it's so damn busy. I think it was like $16 maybe. That's with a drink and endless food and dessert. My server was such a sweet lady and the bus staff were great too. They made sure you didn't want for anything and never had a dirty plate in front of you. I will be back as soon as possible. Planning a visit now! '26 - 102

I wanted to go Tuesday but coworkers didn't want to go out. Tried to go Wednesday but they were closed for dinner. My flight was leaving later in the day on Thursday and I had to try to go. Online it said they were open at 10 am. I checked out of the hotel and headed to the restaurant. There were already a lot of people waiting for them to open. To my surprise they opened at 10:30. When the doors opened people were "fighting" to get inside. This is a buffet setting. You pay before eating. To go plates are available for purchase. There is an upstairs eating area. I think there were 3 hot stations, a cold station, and a desert station and an ice cream machine. All the food looked so good. I had to get a little taste of everything. The fried chicken and fried chicken livers were Hands down my favorite things. I like greens that are tangy with a little spicy - these were not that. The cornbread was hard couldn't eat it. Everything else was ok. Nothing that I had that "gotta go back for more" feeling (except the chicken). There were so many offerings, and they have Pepsi products. They have a drink station but The servers bring you drinks. I definitely would go back again if I'm in the area.

A waitress greeted us immediately, took our drink orders and answered all our questions. The fried shrimp were delicious! I also had fried catfish, hush puppies and mac and cheese, which were all delicious. I took the fried okra which was good, but I actually like mine more crispy. The fried green tomatoes were excellent! My wife also enjoyed à their fried chicken. We were delightfully amused at the tin pic pan for plates and old tin measuring cups for the drinks. Our waitress kept our drinks full. To be honest, we were too full for dessert, but I spied peach cobbler and ice cream. As expected, it was delicious! All of the staff were very friendly and we were happy with our experience. I wished it was closer to home to try the supper buffet!

They do serve your drinks in cool metal cups to drink out of which I found enjoyable My dining group was so disappointed in the food they left a pathetic tip which I was appalled at as the servers did provide fantastic service so I went and left a proper tip after my group left. The cost for the buffet was certainly on the expensive side and I could eat exceptionally better food at most of the best restaurants in New Orleans for what my buffet experience here cost. I believe most folks from Louisiana wouldn't enjoy the really bland food here. Overall this is simply just not the best food option for me but it sure seems popular with lots of other people so maybe it will meet your flavor preferences.
