Very good pizza. My family loved their pizzas. I loved the salad bar (they charge by weight) and gluten free pizza. The servers were very kind to get gluten information for me on the salad bar ingredients so I could load up on everything I wanted. I actually ate here three times during our stay because it was difficult to find other restaurants who could accommodate my gluten allergy. Thankful for a safe, convenient place. read more

Great pizza downtown Laurel. The crust is so good and so is the sauce. Rox and John have outdone themselves again.

I added anchovies to my pizza, made it a little salty. But very good pizza and service.

This is a new pizza joint that just opened in downtown Laurel, MS. I arrived right when they opened and it already had quite a crowd inside. I ordered the 10 inch Margherita Pizza for my first visit and it had some good flavors. Overall this seems like a nice addition to the area! read more

Horrible pizza it was thin burnt and dry. The service was ok, but my mom has silica disease so she can't have gluten and she was looking for something gluten free and all they had was salad which and on the salad all you can get on it is onions tomato's and dressing which who wants that but when we ordered she then told us that they had cauliflower pizza which would have been a good thing to know before we ordered... so in conclusion if your looking for a good place to get pizza it's not here. read more

The pizza is SO good! I summer in Laurel and was excited to try this place out. It didn't disappoint. I know they haven't been opened long but they are very busy which is a good thing. This restaurant owner needs to learn what is considered good service. After being seated you are ignored for several minutes before anyone acknowledges your presence. The servers do not understand the steps to waiting tables and giving great service. No pre bussing so our dirty appetizer and salad plates remained on the already small and crowded table. Very slow to offer refills of drinks... we wanted more Coke but the young male server never returned to the table. Servers never checked on us to inquire about our food order. Third visit this evening and two out of the three times we visited our pizza order was wrong. The server delivered our food then did not come back to the table. We were ready to leave and could not get his attention so we got up and stood at the bar until someone noticed us. He presented our bill along with a yellow ink pen... could not see what I was writing so I had to ask for a blue or black pen... the female server said that she had a purple one. Food: Meatballs were dry and served over an extremely thick tomato paste! The paste would not even stick on the meatballs... They need to remove the meat balls from the oven at medium then place in a liquid marinara sauce... Would be better if the sauce was hot, had a true marinara consistany... and the meatballs should be held submerged in the sauce! THATS how you do Italian meatballs... Pizza order was wrong... I even repeated the order...and he repeated it back... Italian sausage with pepperoni... and when it came out there was no pepperoni and 3 of the 8 slices had ZERO sausage on it. Pizza crust is fantastic!!! The quality of the ingredients is also fantastic! The service, on the other hand, is terrible! No one there understands the following cadence... 1. Seat and greet 2. Server acknowledge the table within the first minute. 3. Return with menus and be ready to take drink orders. 4. Return within 3-4 minutes to ask if the party is ready to order. Take the order. Repeat the order back. 5. Deliver appetizers and or salads first, quickly, and BEFORE the pizza comes out! 6. Understand the definition of appetizer and understand it must arrive well before the entree!!!!! 7. Pre bus, ask about refills. 8. Advise party that food will be out soon... 9. Deliver the food, ask if everything looks good. Be prepared to bring more napkin's. 10. Wait 3 minutes then ask if everything tastes ok and if the party needs anything. Refill drinks at that time. 11. Glance back and monitor the table! 12. As meal winds down suggestive sell desert options. Clear dishes-pre bus. 13. Deliver to- go box with check, thank the party for coming in. I owned and operated several restaurants years ago and understand the manager or owner must set the standard, enforce it, train servers the chronology of servicing a table! Salad was fresh. I am searching for a reason to return... just a block away is an Italian restaurant that had better trainer server's! read more

Waaaaaay over priced we stopped in the other evening and our server she only came to the table a 3 times to get our drink and food order and to bring food and then our check! We asked her if they made their crust she said "No we order the crust but our owner wants us to tell people we do!" She kept goofing off with a male kitchen employee and wouldn't refill our drinks! The foul language coming from the kitchen was horrible! The table next to us had little kids they don't need to hear that type of language! We will not be returning. read more

I genuinely enjoy the pizza here but the service I've received the last few times I've been here has been frustrating. This time I ordered a take out order. I ordered a margarita pizza over the phone and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I sent my husband in to pick up the order. He got there 20 minutes later and waited another 20 minutes for the pizza. It was inconvenient but we are patient. The part I am disappointed about is they gave him a cheese pizza. When I was on the phone it was confirmed that I ordered a margarita pizza. I don't mind waiting extra for my order but I at least want it to be accurate. read more

Me and my family stopped at Homeslice the other day and it was our first time going here and the food was amazing. The service was even better! We had a lovely little server with short hair who was just a doll. She was so sweet and very attentive to our table and our needs even though it was quite busy at the time. I believe her name was Kayla or Kaylee, something of the sort but I just wanted to give praise to the owners of the establishment for making such amazing pizza and hiring such good staff. I will definitely be returning, Best restaurant with great food and service that I've seen in a long time. 10/10 recommendation. If yall are looking for a good place to eat with great food and amazing service with such a clean and homey feel I definitely recommend Homeslice pizza! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME EATING HERE. When we got there over half the tables were empty, but dirty. Everything was dirty. It took them over 15 minutes to clean off a table. Because the waiter would carry one plate at a time to the back. He also kept taking a bite of food every time He went to the back. We were patient and stayed. Took them another 15 minutes to come to get our drinks. The waiter was not busy and had no other tables. We should have left then. Finally took our drink orders and got them wrong. The pizza was ok but not worth the service. They forgot one of our sandwiches and didn't tell us until everyone had their food for 10+ minutes. The waiter said it was the cooks fault that the sandwich didn't get made so he went and made it. This was some of the WORST service I have ever witnessed. There were about 5 people in the kitchen (it's open so you can see everything) that were cutting up and not working. We were really looking forward to a great local pizza place with good atmosphere, but I will be shocked if this place stays open much longer. Can I give a negative!!!??? Run! First off if you don't like Parmesan be warned they LOAD the pizza with it!!!! I don't eat parm! But I clearly said I'd like a 16" with red sauce and fresh mozzarella only. I got a 16" LOADED with parm! I sent it back and what did they do!! They sprinkled shredded cheese on top and heated back up... didn't even melt it all way and sent it out to me! It was not melted enuff that I pulled the stringy unmelted shredded cheese off one piece (btw I ordered only fresh mozzarella not shred mozzarella) and what did I find!!! It was layer of parm!!! Yes they half asses and tried to still give me that shit after I clearly over and over said I don't eat parm!!! So when I confronted them about it he took it to the kitchen to where the cooks start out loud dogging me in front of everyone and making fun of me pulling the cheese off to see the layer of parm!!! And loudly and rudely talking about me and mad that I caught them being a half ass!!! Then I tell the waiter and ask where a manager is because that's unacceptable and inappropriate and I was told "there is no manager" I will NEVER go back to this place! They openly mock and treat customers rude. I did nothing to them! I was very nice about them screwing up and putting parm on my pizza after I asked for none, I was even pretty nice when I confronted them on the half ass "cover up job" but to be openly made fun of by all the kitchen staff when they screwed up is just unacceptable!
