I've been coming here for a couple of months now. After I got out of the military I thought I'd never do a burpee again, let alone pay some place to tell me to do them! I hadn't worked out in years and all I have to say is the staff, trainers, and members here are great. Good vibes all around. I think I've encountered every trainer and they are all motivating. The struggle is real but they are encouraging the whole way through and are always there to help with corrections or modifications. Front desk folks are all super nice, they greet you by name, which I appreciate. I've seen a few of them work out with us, which is cool. I just completed my 6 week 20lb challenge, losing a total of 22.9 lbs. This was my 2nd back to challenge. The support and guidance from staff and other gym members is unbelievable. The owner also offers suggestions and support, as she wants to see you succeed and meet your goals. The Camp Transformation Center of Cypress offers hourly classes led by some of the best personal trainers. The classes usually consist of about 10-30 members/ challengers. In order to get the results you are looking for, you will have to push as hard as you can. And I'm so grateful to the team at the Camp in Cypress because they helped me push harder than I could push myself. I lost 26 pounds in six weeks and they helped me start my journey to have better health. If you're committed and ready to give one hundred percent, then you will get the results you are looking for. But just don't expect that there is any secrets or gimmicks. To succeed, you have to be able to complete the workouts, but you also have to be able to follow their low glycemic, low fat meal plan, you have to prepare your 25-30 meals for the week, and you have to be ready to spend for and consume countless protein supplements so you can lose weight without losing muscle (which would be counter-productive). I won't lie - it is hard. But hard is not impossible. And the environment was positive. Recent research in journals of nutrition (link below) have shown that a high protein, low calorie diet in conjunction with a high intensity interval training (HIIT) is an effective way to lose weight and you can see the results in the reviews here. But a key to your success is also with knowing your limits and with making sure you are doing things safely. If you are feeling pain/discomfort, check with your trainer about proper form so you don't get an injury (which would also be counter-productive). I did because what sense does it make to pay a membership when I'm not going to be able to attend. I thought they'd be more understanding of the situation but they didn't. It started as a skeptical experiment. I have a background in weight lifting and exercise. To say I brushed off the details of 6 week challenges would be an understatement. I rejected the idea of "quick fixes" or any program where you have to pay to make magic happen. But then my wife and my cousin went through the programs and The Camp had my attention. I will not deny a challenge, especially if it targets fitness or physical goals. I wanted to replicate the results my cousin brought home from his Hardbody Challenge. I had recently had a baby girl and let my body go a bit. I most definitely was heading towards Dad bod and I wanted to get off that fast track quick. The workouts are actually as fun as they are challenging. I'm familiar with the movements, being used doing HIIT training and weight lifting. Where Cypress camp hits home for me is the trainers and staff. Every one of the coaches led a great workout every time. I always left sweaty and breathing hard. It's really all about pushing yourself and following the damn instructions (FTDI.) I can't say more and more good things about May, Danielle, Andrea, Santos and Willy. I worked out with the ladies more often, because of my schedule, and I can say that I genuinely appreciate the warmth of their personalities and the intensity of their pushing. They made sure I worked every time. If there were an Ali at every front desk of every business, the word would be a better place. She was not only informative but consistently friendly every morning at the ungodly hour of 5am. All in all, the challenge, for me, was in the diet. I'm used to eating everything I want, all the time. Being restricted to the guide really brought to light how much of a food fan I am. I had moments of weakness, but as long as you FOLLOW THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS, you'll succeed. Trust me. I started at a surprising 30.7% body fat and ended at a lovely 24.5%. I think i'm getting those numbers right. Either way, I was impressed. I was aiming for 10% but 6ish% percent isn't too bad. The bottom line is this program is legit. I can only speak to the Hardbody Challenge, but if you want to tone up, do it. You're held accountable. You want your money back? Work for it. Work hard and every time that incredibly delicious box Captain Crunch's Oops All Berries tempts you, tell it: "Not today, Satan." You can do this. The Camp Cypress will help. On November 9,2020 i finished one of many challenges lol. The Camp Transformation never fails me. I just had my fourth child and as always its very hard for me to get back on track. My brother and I decided to come back and get that extra push we all need. I lost 20 pounds to be exact and aiming for a little more with a 2nd challenge. The work outs are fun, they go by fast. In February I joined Camp Transformation Center in Cypress. It has been an amazing process. They provide a meal plan as well as certified trainers that provide amazing workouts everyday that ranging from cardio to strength. The last few weeks were a challenge with everything that has been happening in the world; however the camp proved how much they care for their AFF members. They provided resources for members to continue on if they chose to, so able to continue to get my FTDI meals without worry. Many of the trainers moved to live streams of workouts through Facebook and Zoom to help keep me motivated!! They as well as many other trainers across the country really helped keep the members accountable.
