From my personal experience after 3pm -9pm is the most packed times for this location. Before 1pm you should be good considering everyone is at school / work & those that are going after 9pm should be set as well because people do wake up early in the mornings so they have to sleep early. So the gym should be good at that time as well. As far as equipment goes they constantly keep up with broken down equipment it never really stays out of order for more than a few days if the machine is out of order or up for maintenance. This gym is really quick about turn around time for stuff like that compared to other gyms that let their members suffer by not repairing equipment fast enough. Only down side I would say to this gym is not enough 45lb plates. It's a pain to have to search for the plates but other than that the dumbbells go up to 150lbs which is great considering most commercial gyms cap out at 100lbs. The sauna is great too and not tiny so don't worry about having to be super close to someone in there. The gym stays clean and I will continue to come here. Thanks Golds for keeping such an awesome gym for all. ** ALSO ** this gym is service animal friendly !

I also like the infographics on the wall, like the one about how to live to 100 like those in Blue Zones. The gym is dead quiet in the early mornings, which I love. The gym is open 24/7 but staff is only here from 12-6pm which is during regular working hours. The 24/7 hours are the only reason why I even looked into this gym. So it looks like I have to jump hoops & get out of work early again to be able to come back again & finally have the manager assist me with my membership. I'm paying for this gym already but unable to use it because of the access only a manager can provide. I completely understand why the staff member there today was unable to help, but at least have someone who can during the hours that are advertised to have staff on site. It's been two days in a row now of time wasted & gas wasted that no one will return just to join...

I want to be clear that the staff members I spoke with were nice, but the way this billing…read moresituation was handled feels completely unethical. I canceled our gym membership in December 2024 because of a health diagnosis. In July 2025, I noticed I was still being charged a monthly membership fee. I called, left a message, and when I received a call back, I explained the situation and was reassured that I would be refunded. Now it is May 2026, and I found out I had continued to be charged the entire time, along with an additional $50 membership fee. These charges also caused overdraft fees, which made the situation even worse. I went into the gym today, explained everything again, and even shared the voicemail showing that I had already addressed this months ago. Instead of refunding me from the original cancellation date in December 2024, they are only offering to refund me from the July phone conversation forward. The staff may be kind, but the ethics behind this are seriously concerning. It is not my fault there was internal miscommunication, and I should not have continued to be charged after canceling, especially for medical reasons. I am now waiting to see if the refund is actually processed.

I originally found this gym because of my trainer, Bob, and I'm so glad I did. Metroflex is definitely old-school but in the best way possible. It's not overcrowded, there's room to actually train, and you're not fighting for equipment like you do at commercial gyms. What I love most is that they literally have everything: powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit-style training, boxing, you name it. No matter what type of training you're into, this gym has the equipment and the space to support it. Coming from a commercial gym where it was always packed, limited machines, and chaotic, this place was a breath of fresh air. The vibe here is different. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and actually there to work. Another huge plus: this gym is always open even on holidays. Hours might be a little shorter on a holiday, but they're still open, which means you can always get your workout in. That alone says a lot about how much they care about their members. It's hard to find a gym that checks all the boxes, but Metroflex really does. If you're serious about training and want a gym that feels like a community instead of a zoo, this is the spot.

Quick shoutout to Diego, David, and Herbert for always being great! The space itself is really well put together and has a great vibe that actually makes you want to work out. I've been a member for a year and a half and it was time for me to say goodbye. I think this gym…read morehas a ton of potential of being okay to great, but it starts with the owners (which I believe in them - and I'll get to that later. Given that I've been a member for quite some time, I've observed so many things about this gym: the good, the not so ok Let's start with the good: - Equipment: Definitely top notch equipment - Outdoor Area: I didn't like it at first, but once you start going every so often you just get this different energy (plus we need more Vitamin D!) - Innovative: This gym is growing; I remember when it was just two workout areas, now expanded to 5 total as well as a sauna (free), a barbershop, a soon to be coffee shop, and a recovery room (additional pay). Oh and pilates! The not so ok: - Turnover: There's been a high turnover of employees, and I think this is where it starts with the owners. Granted, the owners from what I'm noticing are learning and they're only going to get better. But I feel like there's been a high turnover in the last year and a half so that says something. - Lack of Communication from Higher Ups: Again, every time I would speak to a worker, they know nothing about what's happening to the gym. As if, the gym is kept top secret. I just feel like there's a disconnect there, and should have more transparency with the owners and to the employees. - The vibe is preference. Some may like it some may not. I liked it at first, but recently it's starting to give me that 24 hour fitness vibe or EOS (used to be golds in Cerritos) vibe with "influencers" shirtless left and right filming. Filming is OK at this gym so they're setting the standard for that. But, I guess it just makes it awkward for someone like myself if I'm in someones film unintentionally. It's like I need to cater my workout so they can get the best footage. - I think for the price now ($179) they should serve towels, probably do better on maintenance like their drinking fountain, and heck even offer free pilates. If you think about it, club studio and other gyms are in this price range and all the classes are free. So maybe there's something to explore there I'm unsure. But if we're looking at the competitive landscape, at $179, there has to be some form of distinguisher, and top notch equipment can't just be it. Also, going back to employees. David here has been the longest one and I feel like this guy should have some form of ownership, or promotion. This was the only guy in my 1 and half years of being here that went above and beyond at the front desk. I remember he was genuinely concerned about my overall being (had surgery), and gave me options (freezing my account) before even closing it. Every other front desk is just "hi" "bye" "I don't know." But this guy really cares about the customers at the gym. And to the owners, you guys are trying I see that. And I can definitely see you guys improving and making adjustments. Just recently, you closed all membership, and that's because you want to make some changes for the better. I really do hope this gym continues to get better. But for me, the chapter has ended! Thanks All One!

Sure, parking was chill and it wasn't packed, and shoutout to Phoenix at the front for actually being a decent human and being so helpful and friendly. But let's not ignore the elephant lifting weights in the room.... this place is rocking older machines and somehow skipped all the fun recovery perks: NO massage chairs (well there's the old Gold's hydro massage chair thing but didn't get to try) NO cryolounge NO compression boots Not even a sad attempt at one of them. If you're gonna rebrand, at least commit to the glow-up, man!!!! Also, gym etiquette? Missing!!!! Not the gym's fault, but some folks out here treating machines like petri dishes!!! Disgusting!!! As someone w a strong microbiology background... yeah, you don't wanna know!!! Might be a Gold's culture but there aren't a lot of wipes & spray stations (1 was actually broken, interesting) they're spaced far apart (you know, to get those extra steps in)... but maybe if they had more of these stations available it would motivate the members to wipe down after use. Sauna was broken (what the cardio fudge) and typically this would've been a deal breaker but because I had to catch up for missed days, I stayed to get more time in. Restrooms!?!?!?!? Let's just say they were going through something.... no toilet paper, questionable cleanliness, emotional damage!!! End result: Solid 5 hour workout with sub-par machines, zero recovery, broken sauna, no toilet paper in restrooms, and a lingering feeling that this gym is still in its Gold's Gym identity crisis era.
