I would like to say I got pierced by Nick 15 years ago and had a fantastic experience and only have one artist to speak about (I'm sure the other ones are great). The artist that I had was condescending and rude and at the end of it did not ask if anything could be improved on, if I liked it, etc. (probably because they knew it was wonky). If you want a nice person to do your tattoo and to feel comfortable in their presence, that artist isn't the one. read more

Just brought my daughter in to get her ears pierced. We had them done when she was little and had an issue with one of the earrings getting embedded and when we finally got them out, she would never put any in again. We thought they closed and now after 10yrs she was finally ready to get them done again. Nick was very friendly and explained everything. He checked the openings and said he could still get earrings in them. So we just had to buy new earrings and he put them in for her. We were very happy and so glad we came in! Nick was amazing! every time i have gone in to get a piercing they are either too busy or don't have one on hand... I understand that the hours are 12-8 and sometimes people can't always be in, but it would be nice if they at least said something on the website. I have gone in multiple times to just be let down. Also, the lady at the front desk was not necessarily the nicest when we had walked in. I had called in advanced and there was no wait time... just to get there and be told it is now an hour wait. Saw Megan here for a simple line drawing of my beloved parrot Dill who passed away. She did a great job and I am very happy with her work. The price was $100.00 which I felt was a bit high for such a simple design but she was able to get me in with short notice so that was nice. Located in a strip mall in Eden Prairie next to Green Mill, Canvas has been here for several years and I hear they are a very popular place for parents to bring in their young children for ear piercing. People were very rude. I was 10 minutes late to an ear piercing appointment and I called them to let them know I had a work emergency and the person at the front said it was pushing it. Eventually I got there and I was shooed out of the place. Safe to say I will not be going there again. read more

I went in for a consult with Joshua and showed him everything I wanted to get and set up an appointment. Then when I showed up for the appointment he had no idea what I was talking about... had no appointment set up for me, and even mentioned that he remembered I came in and set it all up. He then offered to come in on his day off, at that point I declined since he didn't worry about it the first time. Then he seemed shocked that I asked for my deposit back from when I set up my appointment... since he seemed to think I was the one who made the mistake and got it all wrong, which you don't pay for a deposit without an appointment time set up???? So the first time I went to get a nose piercing and this time I went to get my stud changed to a hoop. I am PLEASED with my experience, and Nick Baurfield is PHENOMENAL! While in Minnesota I decided to get my lip pierced. Why do you ask? Well, because I've been wanting it for about three years and because I have a tendency to get piercings out of state. I like to think it is a small hobby of mine. My friend Ryan is pierced up, so naturally I asked him where he gets his holes drilled into his head and ears. He went on & on how great this place was for the price, and how the artists are cool as hell. Okay, I'm down for this. I walked in, felt like I was a kid sister of theirs, they had me sign a wavier, walked me through what they were going to do, and they even helped me pick out my jewelry. Being a bit scared (naturally, needles into your body isn't so fun) they let me bring my friend in the room to hold her hand! Thanks Katie! After some breathing exercises, it was already in. My friend and I came to get piercings about 9 months ago. I had my mid helix done and she did her upper helix. We asked prior to the appointment if the jewelry was implant grade titanium, as my friend had metal allergies and we were told all the jewelry was. months after getting our piercings, we both realized neither of us had the swelling go down and it was still painful. we both took proper after care precautions and avoided laying on the piercings, so there was no reason for the swelling not to go down at all after 4 months. we were very disappointed as we initially felt welcomed and comfortable in the shop but there seems to be something off in their precautions considering we both had issues. read more

Terrible experience. We were in just to do a jewelry change... for a minor. Canvas employee was rushed and not at all polite. Turns out he pushed us out quickly so that he could go get Subway for dinner in between appointments. We paid extra for titanium because we knew she had allergies. Three days later the titanium has turned black. Right, not titanium. Now my daughter's ear is so infected that we had to take out the new jewelry three days later and I'm taking her to urgent care tomorrow for meds. Don't go here. We miss St Sabrinas. read more

First thing I ever got there was a lip piercing. I loved it and Nick is very cool and chill. I also got my Medusa, bridge and septum pierced there, all reasonable prices. My bridge was crooked first of all, and for some reason after I got all these piercings I ended up getting bumps around them that didn't seem to go away. I assumed it was an allergic reaction so I had him take them out, he never told me why that was happening or any solution. So I decided to get pierced else where . I went to the one in Burnsville and I asked them about the weird bumps and they told me about this emu oil they have that should help with it. Thankfully it has worked. Then when I went back to Canvas I saw that THEY HAD EMU OIL! I never saw it before, guess I never payed attention but the fact that Nick never told about it, kinda makes me not trust him with my piercings, he's not too informational. But besides from that, their artists there are amazing! They're so nice and friendly people. My original artist isn't there anymore so I now go to Justin, and his line work is AMAZING! I have three pieces done by him and I love them! But just to warn you if you show him a picture of what you want, he'll take that and kinda make his own version, so If you're picky and want it exact then pick someone else I guess. If you want a realism tattoo, I suggest Megan! My previous piece is done by her and it is AMAZING! I love it! She does such a wonderful job, she's such a sweetheart, easy to get along with and super funny! Overall I love Canvas and will continue to get tatted there read more
