The artist that I had was condescending and rude and at the end of it did not ask if anything could be improved on, if I liked it, etc. (probably because they knew it was wonky). If you want a nice person to do your tattoo and to feel comfortable in their presence, that artist isn't the one.

Just brought my daughter in to get her ears pierced. We had them done when she was little and had…read morean issue with one of the earrings getting embedded and when we finally got them out, she would never put any in again. We thought they closed and now after 10yrs she was finally ready to get them done again. Nick was very friendly and explained everything. He checked the openings and said he could still get earrings in them. So we just had to buy new earrings and he put them in for her. We were very happy and so glad we came in! Nick was amazing! I went in…read morefor a consult with John C and he was extremely accommodating to what I wanted and was looking to get. He also was very knowledgeable about my piece as well. He also was very open to any changes and tweaks that I wanted incorporated. The session took about 6.5 hours and John made sure we took a decent amount of breaks. He was very meticulous and overall, I was extremely satisfied with the completed art piece. The tattoo shop was also very clean and everyone was professional and very friendly. 10/10 and I will definitely be going back for more work!

Today was one of those aimless adventure days where we didn't really know what was on the agenda…read more It started off with running to the gas station to get firewood and then we headed to Downtown Hopkins to get ice cream at Cold Stone. On the way we passed by Dragonland Tattoo and decided to walk in and see what it's like. As soon as we walked in you could tell it was a reputable shop. The wall was covered in Best Of and NTA awards. I've been wanting to get a star tattoo for a few years now and was surprised to find that they could get me in pretty much right away, so I figured what the heck let's do it! I got a quarter size outline of a star on my right wrist and it took all of 30 minutes from when we walked in just to check it out to walking out with my tat exactly how I had imagined :) My niece's boyfriend got a rose tattoo on his forearm and was able to get in right after me. Our artist Dustin was awesome and eased my tattoo anxiety, making my experience go much more smoothly than my overthinking brain expected. I would encourage an appointment and consultation for most tattoos as we got small, simple ones that didn't really require one. I will definitely be back if I work up the courage to start the sleeve tattoo I've been thinking about getting. I would highly recommend Dragonland Tattoo, 5 stars from us!!!

I browsed his Instagram page and was impressed by his black and gray realism. He also has great communication which is something you don't always see with artists, and I certainly appreciate. Not only has he done 99% of my tattoos he also does new work/ finish work on my wife. I was referred to Jon by friends because of his skills that he holds and the timely manner that he can complete a job. When we started my first sleeve it was a completely impromptu start. Which was something that I kind of liked. Always a good surprise to what I was getting everytime I came in. I have never been disappointed what we both choose that day to add of my canvas. Going to Handmade Tattoo Studio is very successive. The studio is a chill cigar lounge atmosphere with Jon and you just adding work of art to yourself. It has that exclusive/personal feeling! Not only is Jon's tattoo work speak for its self. The conversations are always something I look forward to. Your not just at one of those shops where you sit there get your stuff done in silence and sent out the door. You can have real conversations about anything with Jon and feel comfortable doing it. If it's life experiences, car, art, music, etc... Jon is good at making your tattoo experience relaxing.
