Cristin is wonderful! I have two cats and one has hyperesthesia and a few months after that started he was diagnosed with lymphoma. We've had such a tough year. Cristin stayed at my house for a few hours really trying to understand my cats and their behaviors. She gave me so much information and came up with a plan to help me and my cats. We've been in contacted even after the initial appointment and she's has helped me have a break through with my cat. My cats are doing amazing and so am I. Cristin saved our family!

Cristin solved all of Summer's kitten issues and she grew up to be one happy cat!

In just one session, Leonard provided us with more than a few mindset-shifting gems that we are now using daily to train Peter into happier, less anxious pup. Turns out, many of "Peter's" seemingly complex issues had been caused by us (the humans) reinforcing the wrong behaviors! Our little family of three is now on a clear path to a much more peaceful and happy life. Thanks Leonard!!! P.S. Leonard is as skilled a human behavioralist as he is one for dogs!

Where do I even begin with this review?!…read more When we first reached out to Leonard, we were completely at our wit's end with our dog. She's a six year old Portuguese Water Dog with a ton of energy and was EXTREMELY leash reactive, constantly overstimulated by everything around her on walks. Despite wanting her to come everywhere with us, taking her out felt dreadful & exhausting. I always dreamed of having a dog I could take to a coffee shop, sit, relax, answer emails, and just enjoy being out together. But that felt completely out of reach for us. I knew something had to change, I just didn't know where to start. That's when I found Dominant Dogs and came across Leonard Ludovico. I was hesitant, but after our initial consultation, he gave us confidence that things could improve. He recommended his three week boot camp, and we decided to trust the process! By the two week mark, I was already blown away. By the time we picked her up at three weeks, it truly felt like we had a completely different dog. Walking her is now easy. Being outside with her feels fun, freeing, and effortless, something I never thought I'd say. What really stood out is that this training wasn't just about changing our dog, it changed me too. Leonard helped shift how I showed up, not only with my dog, but in how I approach interactions more broadly. I truly cannot recommend Leonard enough. This was hands down the best money we've ever spent, and we absolutely plan to work with him again in the future. Thank you, Leonard, for everything. Your work is one-of-a-kind, and we're so grateful!!!

Heather completely exceeded every expectation I had for Charlie's 3 week off leash training program. Truly one of the best investments I've ever made for both of us. Charlie came home not only incredibly well trained, but genuinely HAPPY, confident, calm, and so clearly loved and cared for during his stay. That mattered the most to me. You can tell immediately when someone treats dogs like family instead of just a job, and Heather absolutely does. Before training, Charlie struggled with pulling, consistency, and focus. Now he walks beautifully, responds off leash, listens reliably, and honestly seems more relaxed and fulfilled overall. The transformation is kind of unbelievable. Heather also kept me updated throughout the process, answered my anxious dog mom questions with patience, and made me feel completely comfortable trusting her with my baby. The amount of care, structure, professionalism, and knowledge she brings is rare. If you're on the fence about training, do it. And if you're looking for someone trustworthy, skilled, loving, and genuinely exceptional at what they do, HEATHER IS YOUR GIRL !! Charlie came back better trained than I imagined possible, and still completely himself: goofy, loving, joyful, and thriving. I could not recommend her more highly.

From day one, Heather sent thoughtful, detailed updates about what Saturn was learning, how she was progressing, and little moments from her day. Reading them made me feel like I was right there on the journey. There were times I laughed, times I teared up -- it brought me so much comfort while I missed my girl. You can tell Heather truly loves the dogs in her care and treats them like her own. When I picked Saturn up, the difference was incredible. She was calm, responsive, and so well-mannered, but still completely her sweet, happy self. It felt like I got my puppy back with a whole new layer of confidence and understanding. I've already been recommending Heather to friends and will continue to do so. The communication, the care, and the transformation exceeded my expectations, and I feel so grateful Saturn was in such good hands. Thank you, Heather

We highly recommend working with Dee for any and all dog needs!…read moreWe rescued a 10 month old puppy this spring and added her to our family with two other dogs and a cat. Within the first week we discovered our new member was extremely anxious (she escaped once and was gone for hours), was up through the night and not housebroken. This prompted us to connect with Dee where we collaborated on our goals together, and set our focus on reducing anxiety, potty and crate training, and teaching hand signals to keep our pup from bolting out the door. Two months later, we are THRILLED to report that our puppy's anxiety levels are down dramatically, she is 99% potty trained, fully crate trained and sleeping through the night and not a single attempt at an escape. An added bonus is seeing the benefit all of this has had on our other dogs and how quickly the puppy and cat were able to integrate. We did our meetings with Dee over FaceTime, starting at 3 to 4 times a week, and naturally decreasing as Dee's program was so effective. Dee is extremely knowledgeable, provides clear instruction, and has a way of explaining situations from a dog's perspective that makes it easy to understand the interventions. Scheduling time with her was easy. We greatly appreciated her being firm about following guidelines because it kept us on track. However, she is also understanding and flexible when we expressed needing adjustments based on our own lifestyle or goals for our family. We have a calm and cohesive family and are beyond grateful for Dee who was integral in this process.

But the most amazing experience was when my dog Ros was grieving the death of another of my dogs. She wouldn't get up and go out. She was so depressed I could barely get her to potty or eat. It was breaking my heart. Dee was so concerned and patient and attentive, helping me understand how to give Ros choice and not make her feel pushed while still encouraging her to participate in life again. Within two days she had come out from under my desk and started interacting with me and the other dogs. I will always be so grateful to Dee for helping her!

Everything was explained in a way that made sense, and I left feeling like I had real tools to help my dog. I'm so grateful for her compassion, knowledge, and care. A little long but it's been nothing less than eventful with this place. I had hight hopes for this…read moreplace as the hours are so convenient for our family's busy schedules. Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.
