A good ride for all ages. This ride takes you through the book Cat in the Hat. It shows animated scenes from it. I thought it was fun and nostalgic. Definitely a longer ride than some of the others.

This isn't a thrill ride, but very cute if you grew up with The Cat in the Hat like I did. Love the whimsical feel of the attraction, and you exit in a well-stocked gift shop. Definitely worth stopping in this area to ride and shop the store.

The cat in the hat is an iconic kids story book. This ride was decent to say the least. It had some fun elements like the spinning and turning. But the animatronics are in a desperate need of replacement or serious repair. The cat in the hat animatronics eyes are literally sinking into his skull, it is absolutely terrifying! And thing 1 and 2 also have very uncanny movements. Please fix the animatronics and then this ride will get a 4 stars.

"It is fun to have fun but you have to know how." The Cat in the Hat I am a huge Cat in the Hat fan although I always wonder why their mother never taught them about stranger danger when I read the book with the kids at school. Good thing they had that fish babysitter. My appreciation for the book was really sharpened during the few months I had a student read it to me everyday because it was the only thing that made him sit still for more than 30 seconds. Scores of children grew up learning to read on the Cat and the Hat. If you haven't seen it since you were a kid it is actually pretty long. The ride opened with the park on May 28, 1999 as the flagship attraction of Seuss Landing. It is best for small children or anyone who has never been on it but for me however it is more of a place to sit back and relax for a few minutes. We were able to walk on which is the only reason we rode. The cars and loading area were looking a little dingy. The indoor ride takes you through the story with audio, video, and animatronics. The Cat in the Hat makes a mess, the fish scolds, Thing One and Thing Two clean it up just in time for mom to come home and you exit out to the gift shop. It was a good place to rest before heading off to one of the more exciting attractions.

The ride will spin a bit

Fun for all ages and the theme is thorough throughout the outside, inside, and ride. It's true to the book and the detail is fun. Only disappointment is that the Cat's voice is not the one from.the live action movie so it's not as nostalgic as it could be, but that was likely too expensive. The three of us had no issue sitting in the same cart together.

This is a really enjoyable ride that my family and I went to while we were at universal studios. I enjoyed going through the whole cat in the hat book and having things come out at you and tells the story of the whole book. We enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun.

The Cat In The Hat is a ride at Universal Islands of Adventure. If you're a fan of the Dr.Seuss books, you have to ride The Cat In the Hat! It's a slow, dark ride, geared towards children. In the beginning of the morning, there was pretty much no wait time. Towards the evening hours, there also was a little to no wait time as well. During the day however, wait times can get to approximately 20 minutes, summertime. Inside the queue, it's air conditioned and "Cat In the Hat" themed. If you've gone to Disney World or Disneyland, this ride is comparison to Winnie The Pooh, or Snow White at Disneyland. The ride takes you through The Cat In the Hat story. The cat goes through the house and you get to see memorable characters from the story such as Thing 1 and Thing 2. There is several twists and turns throughout the ride. My family and I enjoyed the ride! It's a nice break from standing in waiting queues for certain rides like the Harry Potter!

The Cat In the Hat is a storybook ride. If you have been to Disney, this is exactly like a Fantasyland ride. Takes you through The Cat In the Hat book. With all its flashy colors and rhymes. The line looked longer then it actually look. It was only a 15 minute wait, start to finish. The line space is a bit tight though. Kiddos enjoyed seeing a book I read to them come to life. Located in Seuss Landing at Island of Adventure, not Universal.

Very cute ride for younger children. The ride takes you through a colorful and immersive Dr. Seuss story. There is almost never a long wait.

I had heard from locals that it's a great local option over the big theme parks. Fun Spot was pretty great, for what it was. Free parking, free admission if you don't plan on riding rides, also a discounted adult pass if you only are going on rides with your kid who is too young to ride alone. The whole place was small, maybe the area of a handful of city blocks. And on the Sunday afternoon when we went, the place was quiet enough that we never waited more than a few minutes to get onto a ride. As we were only there for a couple hours, the cashier recommended the 4 ride pass for my kids, and the companion pass for me. But if one were to spend more hours there, buying the day pass online for $59.95 is quite a bargain. Not all rides were open, but the "big" rides that most kids want (the roller coasters and the go carts) were open. My daughter, who is not a big roller coaster fan, had a harder time finding kiddie rides that she actually wanted to go on, and she watched the go carts and didn't even want to try those with me driving. However, the place was small enough that I felt fine leaving my 10 year old son to go on rides by himself while I went on the Ferris wheel or the merry go round with my 8 year old. There are a bunch of food options available throughout the park. They were definitely more affordable than Disney prices! Most of the places offered souvenir cups with discounted refills, but there were also water stations set up throughout with free cups. I'd definitely come back if I had a few hours to burn and the kids didn't want to go swimming. Hopefully at some point, my daughter will change her mind about roller coasters, though!

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. My only downside to Universal Studios is that some of the themes felt outdated or just aren't favorite characters of mine. At least this helped to decrease the temptation of spending money on apparel or merchandise.

The horror make up show was being redone during our trip. A few stores in the Harry potter store felt ... Smaller than I remember, though in that area our intent was mainly looking around. We were able to do everything we wanted to quickly and easily. During a non busy time we did everything my kid wanted to do in about a half a day. Saving a few things for when we did HHN as we knew we needed a few time killers while we waited for the staged openings of the haunts. We skipped the little kids area and Jimmy Fallon, due to lack of interest and not being geared to our age group. I'll be interested to see what they do to bring new life to this park when the Simpsons contract runs out, especially since they are closing the Animal actor experience. So that's a sizeable amount for something new! For HHN, it ran well for us. I liked that they had two houses open at 2, and then we hit some haunts as they opened at 515 or 545. Thought I will say our feet ended up killing us from having to bounce back and forth. Since where they had two haunts that felt like a long walk off to the side where one opened at 2 but the other didn't open for a little more than 3 hours after it, so made for some unexpected back tracking.

This is a short review because I didn't get the chance to experience everything Icon Park has to offer. However, based on my first impression alone, I can definitely say I'll be back. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.
