This was our second time dining at the Cedar Room Ordered: RYE BREAD: house made warm rye bread with birch butter QUINOA & SPROUTED LENTIL PRESSÉ kimchi, wiseats mushrooms, oat and arugula pesto 14oz BERKSHIRE PORK CHOP w/ perigourdine sauce CEDAR ROOM CARROTS & ROASTED FINGERLING POTATOES Drinks: SALTED CARAMEL ESPRESSO MARTINI LUIGI BOSCA MALBEC The dining room is nicely lit and lots of room between tables, yet gives off a cozy vibe. I ordered the same thing as last year (pork chop) but tried a different sauce. The perigourdine sauce was nice but not as good as the bacon jam; I'll stick to that next time. The pork chop is so good I know that I will only be ordering that from now on. My husband tried the quinoa and sprouted lentil presse - it looked kind of like a meatloaf. It was full of flavour. Very surprising! The carrots had little chunks of bacon in them.. drool! Service was fantastic! Definitely worth a visit!

Last dinner before returning home at Cedar Room within Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Fantastic service and beautiful venue. We started with Alberta Grass Fed Beef Tartare. It was very tasty. When in Alberta must order steak right? Hubby had the 12 ounce beef strip loin with bacon jam and smoked bone marrow mash potatoes. Doesn't that sound delicious and decadent? It was highlight of our meal. I had the Pan Seared Arctic Char and was cooked and seasoned perfectly paired with a glass of white wine. This was a relaxing and memorable experience at the end of our trip.

I dined here on Saturday night during a bachelorette weekend in Kananaskis. I was told by someone at the front desk of the lodge that the cedar room was the nicest out of the lodges 5 restaurants and that it required reservations. The restaurant is lovely! It is very elegant and had an open concept so you can see the bar. We received good service overall and enjoyed our evening there. The bride and i shared the pork chop, the mushroom ravioli and the mac n cheese. The pork chop was delicious! It was tender, juicy and flavorful with a hint of sweetness. The mushroom ravioli was very creamy and tasty. It was by far my favorite dish of the evening. The mac n cheese was a bit disappointing however. My girlfriend and i found it a bit bland and the crumble on top tasted paper-like. Overall we enjoyed our evening! I can't wait to take my husband here the next time we're in kananaskis!

We arrived at their closing time at 10pm but they served us happily until we finished dinner around 1140pm. Food was delicious and presentation was impressive! It turned out the restaurant has just opened 2 weeks ago. The restaurant's decor is modern and new. Ambience is great for nice sit-down dinner with your love ones. Our attendant Francois was conversational, approachable and shared clear opinions of menu selection when we asked them. Cedar Room staff was very accommodating to our late arrival for our reservation since we were driving to Delta Kananaskis hotel that night from Yellowstone. Thank you Cedar Room for your excellent customer service as well as the delicious meal. The seafood platter, bison beef, halibut, and Tomahawk beef were exceptional! My mother was very happy with her Birthday dinner. Thank you for a great welcome to Kananaskis!

Moose Family Kitchen - Another angle on the delicious grilled cheese with egg! The cheese pull was perfection

Inside is a store for things you forgot to pack, souvenirs, and a place to buy food. They offer a variety of choices, I got an Italian Panini. There are a few tables and seats, I took mine up to our hotel room. The sandwich was warm and very good. The kitchen area looked crowded with stuff and people, good people that took my order and made and pressed my sandwich. The entire store looked crowded with stuff. I did ring a bell to let them know I was ready to order. Someone with a smile came right over. This was an inexpensive alternative to other dining options in the hotel, good when you just want to grab something to eat. They also have soft serve ice cream.

This is kind of like a little coffee shop inside of the Village Center which is a 2 min walk. They serve sandwiches, ramen, soft serve, sandwiches, coffee, and tea. The coffee and tea is significantly cheaper here compared to the other locations within the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Seems like a family run spot with great service. There are a couple of tables inside and a couple of tables outside. I got the grilled cheese with egg, and Hubby got the veggie Panini. They were both delicious and the cheese pull was amazing. As an avid tea drinker, there is nothing more delicious than a hot London fog latte on rainy day! Their London fog hit the spot!

Our group was located in an annex room right of the main entrance and was the perfect size to fit all of us. We had 2 primary servers who did an excellent job of making sure we had full glasses and full plates. We did family-style sharing of some of their starters and main dishes. The Bread and Butter was really delicious and it looks like their butter flavor is on rotation daily. The duck wings had a peach glaze and nuoc cham and cilantro- great combination. The chicken vegetable dumplings had great skin and texture. The peppercorn salad was adorned with pickled cabbage, capers, maple coconut, crunchy chickpeas and more - it was amazing. We also tried the Thai basil risotto and it was good but I'd go with the peppercorn salad over this if you're sticking vegetarian. The final dish was Alberta AAA Beef Brisket accompanied by gochujang mashed potatoes and broccolini. The brisket was incredible and just melted on the tongue. And the beer/spirits here were impressive as well. BLAKE is a must-try destination while in Canmore!
