We were in town two nights. The food and staff were so good on night one that we went back yesterday (Fri) the food was still excellent but there was zero atmosphere. The staff were unhappy it was empty (often, i guess) and decided to "deep clean since no one was there", problem is WE were there, really wanting to spend some $$$ We gave up after a while and left as no one seemed in the mood to be bothered. Genuinely the worst dining experience I've had. Once we finally got our food and drinks (about 45 min after we got here) it was decent, which is why I even gave 1 star. Service was awful, we ordered a beer that came out with our food, and an appetizer that came out when we were finishing our food. When we said we didn't want it anymore, our waitress said it wouldn't be charged, but then it was charged anyway. When we argued that point, she argued back. The only thing I can say is our waitress seemed to be the only one working, but there were only a few tables. All in all we spent close to an hour and a half here. read more

This was the greatest Irish pub I've ever been to. Great food, amazing service, and an incredible atmosphere. The waitress came over and chatted with us for a little while. The bartender was wearing a kilt, such a great Scottish/Irish vibe. The food was next level. We split the cottage pie, it was enough to fill both of us. A truly amazing meal. Happy to say, the place hasn't changed much since my last review. For some reason, it is still crowded on a weekend, and still poorly serviced. We had one girl seat us ( who was clearly overwhelmed), and another take our order 35 minutes after. The place was full, which was puzzling because there only occasionally seemed to be one person that was obviously disinterested in taking our order. I suggested to the group to not order food, cuz nobody wanted to stay for an hour and a half for sub-par, overly-priced meals. We all had a beer, or a poorly-made cocktail and moved on. The family and I stumbled upon this treasure on a rainy August day while on a family vacation. We were very hungry and were looking for something kind of special, since we were on vacation. The staff was very helpful and made this a great trip. Mom (that's me) ordered a cobb salad, the boys ordered a corned beef slider on a whole wheat bun with beer battered onion rings, and the daddy ordered a bacon cheeseburger! Had a beer flight. Loved the Huckleberry cider and Oatmeal Stout. Husband had steak & fries and I had Irish potato skins. We splurged and tried the soda bread, brownie (huge) and Bailey's cheesecake. All excellent. Probably best ever cheesecake and my mother made a great one. Server Jordan (spelling? Sorry if wrong) very nice and turned out to be from our hometown! Nice Irish music, not too loud, we could still have a conversation and enjoy the music. Beautiful antique (I think) bar back and great pub decor. If we lived here, I'd make this a regular spot. The pickle fries are INSANE! My man had the Oinker and he was in heaven! Way to go! If we ever pass through again, we'll be sure to stop! Good beer selection on tap. They have the best fries I've ever had. You customize them with whatever you what - bacon, blue cheese, Gouda, all kinds of good stuff. Just recognize that the fries are meal in themselves. They regularly have live music in a wide variety of genres. I was a band groupie this past holiday weekend. Sometimes, when you're traveling with a band, you end up in deep red shitholes like Idaho Falls where every single person looks mysteriously similar to their neighbor. But nearly every Trump-lovin' shithole has its redeeming grace and for Idaho Falls, there is The Celt. Speakeasy feel. Typical bar fare with some Irish staples but they do bar food really well. The service was attentive. The location was central. And it's nice that the stage is in the corner so that people who don't come for the live music can still hear each other talk. I'm a fan.
